Loved them in high school, we were even referred to as Rush boys, the entire group of us who enjoyed Rush sound. It was early 80s and now, I just turned 57 and still love the band and this song. So good, every time I hear that guitar in a beginning and right away it is mesmerizing how amazing this will be, this song and memories that go with it. Timeless and ageless music.

The overwhelming human tragedy in this is that a young daughter has lost her father, a wife has lost her husband, parents have lost their son and siblings have lost their brother. We grieve for our loss, but theirs is by far the greater.
Neil Peart. What comes to mind? Integrity, honesty, loyalty, humility, compassion - all things that make a good human being. The talent was on loan from a higher power, but he had the spirit for that blessing to be bestowed upon him. Thank you Neil.
Alex and Geddy, thank you for the opportunity you gave him to follow his passion. We are forever grateful.

I was there. Imagine seeing Neil Peart meeting and shaking hands with Charlie Watts right there from The Rolling Stones. The 2 greatest drummers in the WORLD. Then Rush breaks into such a strong but tasteful version of ‘Paint It Black’. Neil, playing Charlie’s song with such respect and effort. Such power from just 3 musicians. It made me so proud to be Canadian, to see our best band projecting to half a million people. I’ve kept the photo of Neil and Charlie shaking hands. Both the top of their class, and against all odds in the music industry- both are mild mannered and do not seek out fame. You have never heard of either of them in the news for outlandish behavior. And now - tragically, both have passed away. I count myself so lucky to have been here.

Needless to say he had quite the impression on me and every body that I know especially if you knew how complex his style of playing really was . . .all you gotta do is get a drum set and some sticks sit down and just try to play like him I know that there are some very talented drummers out there that can probably duplicate him but there will never be another Neil Peart it's just not possible . . Rush is such an efficient band. Playing the concert while at the same time doing their laundry.

I can't still believe I was there in 2003. it was an awesome festival "SARSStock", one of the best I've ever been in my life with The Rolling Stones, AC DC, Rush and The Guess Who at the Downsview Park in Toronto, it was one day before my 23th birthday... What a day to remember !

It's almost like they exist just to make other bands look bad...
