I see SOOO many comments on different bands/musicians on how they are "So underrated" ....and they'll be talking about people that are ALWAYS getting accolades from just about EVERYONE....... THIS is finally a case where I think you can say that Alex is criminally underrated......I very rarely hear his name brought up when discussing great rock guitarists.....and I don't know why.....he is an extremely talented player.....unless maybe he just gets overshadowed by Neil (RIP) and Geddy? Either way.....I'd like to see his name in far more "great rock guitarist" conversations......Not to mention he seems like a great guy personally, too.

Then Rush breaks into such a strong but tasteful version of ‘Paint It Black’. Neil, playing Charlie’s song with such respect and effort. Such power from just 3 musicians. It made me so proud to be Canadian, to see our best band projecting to half a million people. I’ve kept the photo of Neil and Charlie shaking hands. Both the top of their class, and against all odds in the music industry- both are mild mannered and do not seek out fame. You have never heard of either of them in the news for outlandish behavior. And now - tragically, both have passed away. I count myself so lucky to have been here.

Neil set the bar as to how good a drummer can get when I was just starting out playing the drums I think around 1973-74 till today I can't think of any other rock drummer that I wanted to be as good as. . .the guy just blew my mind more and more as they released each album he also had some really impressive drum kits that looked like you needed three people to play them! Needless to say he had quite the impression on me and every body that I know especially if you knew how complex his style of playing really was . . .all you gotta do is get a drum set and some sticks sit down and just try to play like him I know that there are some very talented drummers out there that can probably duplicate him but there will never be another Neil Peart it's just not possible . . Rest in peace and thank you

I was once driving in a city in the North of England, it was summer, got window down and I'm rockin Tom Sawyer at concert volume. Guy in car behind me in slow moving traffic, purposely cuts into the bus lane to my left, so he could pull up to my left window, to ask, who the hell is that? It's AWESOME, he was a young Indian /Asian guy. I told him, the song and the band, he thanked me and said, he's checking them straight out when he gets home. I was so proud, that hearing a Rush tune being blasted out, hearing the amazing drum fills and pure rhythmic punch, that it moved someone to have to have THAT band in their life. Yeah, I was proud to share Rush.
