Most sportscasters stop where Jomboy starts and it does not end until Stewart wishes to get ejected. Hyde must been steaming for 9 innings waiting in the clubhouse to chew out Stewart misplay.
In Stewarts defense, it was raininig and the game was delayed an hour and this was the first inning. You can see his foot slid right out from under him and he slammed his face into the ground. Not a mis-play but a slip and fall due to field condition.

You're right, but it's foolish of the manager to argue since he should know that they can't review it, whether it was on the board or not.
Because there is no objective measure of when a batter "offers" at a pitch. Many announcers say it is when the bat crosses the front of the plate, but that isn't actually in the rulebook.

The coach was yelling at him and he said “that’s enough”. He keeps yelling and he says “stop”. But WHILE he’s telling him to stop, he yells a third time. That’s why he tossed him.

@@asdfaeou Except "that's enough" with a hand up is clearly a euphemism for "stop or you're not gonna like what happens", and Hyde kept chirping after he was told "that's enough", so he probably should have quieted up a bit quicker. Not saying that ejection call was justified, but it's not true that Hyde had no chance to take a sec and chill instead of risking getting thrown out in the first inning.

Do managers swear at umps a lot more now than they used to, or is it just that there are more high-def close-ups where you can read their lips than there used to be? I know that there’s audio of Lasorda swearing at reporters, but I don’t recall seeing stuff where he’s swearing at the umpires, not even during the Reggie Jackson interference thing in the 78 World Series. I’d love to see some old school video/audio of Lasorda, Earl Weaver and Billy Martin swearing at the umpires if you have any.
