If you like this set design, just wait until you see what they built for the Tokyo Dome shows! Also if you want to see Su's matured voice and power on full display, the First Take version of Monochrome is incredible.
i am so glad you followed my recommendation, but i also have no idea what has become of me! i am a 44 year old metal head, powerlifter, and physical therapist. i listen almost exclusively to 80s and 90s death and thrash metal (e.g., vader, massacre, bolt thrower, carcass, napalm death). i heard babymetal years ago and dismissed them as a gimmick (as if gwar isnt and i love gwar). but we got tickets to see dethklok last year, so i decided i should give babymetal another chance. i have been proselytizing the fox god ever since seeing this video. jpop over metal? shouldn't work. even if it did, i shouldnt like it. but it does work and i absolutely love it. you already took one of my recommendations, but i cannot help but make one more. monochrome - piano ver. / The First Take is an incredible left turn. it's just su and moa with piano backing. it puts on display the sheer power and precision of su's vocals. i have no shame in stating that it makes me cry every single friggen time.
I'm so happy and grateful that you pick the exactly on video suggested . This is the best performance of his song , because of the stage design , the crowd ,by the canonic BABYMETAL dress and of course because of the performance of the girls and the Kami band ( east ). Karate at Dowload festival 2016 is a sugestion Thank you , great job 🤘🦊
If you are talking about the "it is time" screams then they are a combination of crowd and backing track. In many cases the crowd is louder than the back track. The sing along is obviously all crowd.
You should check out Akatsuki next, for sure. Crazy instrumentals in that one too. It's my favourite song of theirs, which means it's my favourite song of all time. And it's a Su solo. ruclips.net/video/g2372C5PJLM/видео.html
The original Kami Band members were Hiroki Arai and Shiren on guitars, RYO on bass and SHIN on drums. They performed at 'Legend I', on October 6th, 2012, with a two song encore. All of the musicians performing with BABYMETAL at Saitama Super Arena in 2015 in this video were later additions.
Hi pete from Ireland, what a great choice and reaction. You where so impressed by vocals and crowd, move forward gor a comparison, 2023, monochrome live at pia and road of resistance live at pua, you will be equally impressed 😊
Both nights Black and Clear were just so inspired. It's seemed to me that there is a palpable joy from Babymetal that I've interpreted as officially being a trio again. The way it was meant to be.
Awesome reaction! This has been a staple show closer for almost a decade now. You’re absolutely right about the how much Babymetal can bring it, especially since this is Jan 2015, and Su just turned 17, and Yui & Moi are still 15. The band is Kami Band East. They are the original band supporting Babymetal since 2012 for encores, and fully since 2014. Kami West joined in 2019, then took over as sole backijg band Apr 2023. If you want more vocals: *Rondo of Nightmare (Budokan 2014)* *Alatsuki (Budokan 2014)* *Amore (Wembley 2016)* *Light and Darkness (Pia Arena MM 2023)* 1st 3 are Su-metal solos. 🤘🦊
Great reactions! Su-Metal is an amazing vocalist. You should react to BABYMETAL Monochrome Piano Version performed on First Take. It's just Su-Metal, Moametal and 3 backup singers with piano/string instruments. Beautiful voice.
Great reaction.🦊 Sounds like DragonForce you say? No, I know you didn't, but if you had it would not have been a coincidence - Herman Li and Sam Totman from British power/speed metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song (it is the only one they were involved in) and recorded the guitars for the album version. They have said they made this more technical and faster than most of their own songs thinking they would never have to play it live ... and that they had to practice hard when they did perform it with BABYMETAL at an awards show in London later in 2015. Yes, this was the Kami Band of course (if it is a live concert and they're not wearing skeleton suits it is always the Kami Band). In this concert they were Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars with BOH on his 6 string bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums. As you saw, this video was from January 2015 at the Saitama Super Arena. Su-metal was 17, Yuimetal and Moametal only 15 and that was over 20,000 people completely under their control. Even at that age Su just looks at the crowd, spreads her arms and the crowd opens up for a wall of death that transformed into the circle pit after the initial rush (actually several walls of death. A journalist up in the balcony that night said he counted, I think it was, 21 mosh pits). This was also the end of a 90 minute concert - they had been keeping that same energy up without any drop in quality for the whole time. It is what they do - they appreciate people have often paid a lot of money and travelled a long way to see them, they never give anything less than 100% for every song at every concert, whether that is one of their big arena concerts in Japan or at the many various sized venues as they tour the world. About the song itself - 'Road of Resistance' is a very positive song, it isn't the usual "resist the machine or the system etc" that we might expect from the title. It is about forging your own road even where a road doesn't already exist, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy road to follow.🦊
Su-Metal vocals has evolved over the years. Should listen to her solos. This is the original Eastern "Kami Band" from Japan 🇯🇵 and for show in the United States or Europe Babymetal will be playing with the Western "Kami Band" from United States 🇺🇸.
BABYMETAL fans (The One) are always on point, particularly in Japan. Except in the beginning (the band in skeleton costumes) all the members are Kami Band. This video is worth watching for the "We Are" alone. I would suggest BABYMETAL | Rondo of Nightmare (w/ Mischiefs of Metal Gods Intro)🦊🦊🦊 🖖❤
4:56 _"Now Pizza time (Pizza time!)"_ 🦊🤘🍕 Welcome back to the Foxhole🦊🤘🔥 Nice to see you with this suggestion to follow your BM journey, just like here it was the ender for almost every show at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone loved to have fun with this one such recently at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas, they just did a fun interview about it and you can see they were excited with Slipknot returns, they were very supportive during early era or Metal Resistance chapter (that's the title inside the lore), also they play this last week at San Francisco as part of the Babyklok Tour along with Dethklok, and btw DragonForce were there playing too, another supportive band since BM beginning career and also involved in the album version of this song as well some live collabs together around those years. "Road Of Resistance" is a power/speed metal song, it's one of their most epic anthems and the album version got the guitar arrangements made by Sam Totman and Herman Li from DragonForce. It's all about facing your own path without looking back. This was part of the Trilogy Of 2015, live at New Year Fox Festival - Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, by this time their fame was already high due to viral success on YT of Gimme Chocolate! MV, people from all over the world attended this live concert in Japan, and 20K souls witnessed this epic moment. With only 15 and 17 years old this moment will be forever remember when they're performing this song to reminds them all the support they got from their fans no matter where they go, either a small or big stages. The Kami Band here are real and magnificent set of elite musicians, they were sent to help the girls with the metal sound, they rotate so probably you won't see some of them in all live concerts (especially the guitarists). They are: - Leda Cygnus, god of guitar, he's the only Kami Band member who's credited as a session musician when recording some albums. - Takayoshi Ohmura, god of guitar, he's Míkio' Fujioka's pupil (another beloved Kami Band guitarist who sadly passed away) and a prodigy child, you'll see his recognizable pink guitar. - BOH, god of bass, he's the bald one and not only got amazing talent but his fun way to enjoy reminds me Flea from RHCP. - Hideki Aoyama, god of drums, comes from a family of expert drummers, and his father was very famous in Japanese music scene. At the end of their shows they always said "We are BabyMetal!" with the crowd, to make them sure that they're part of this show and project too, is a line borrowed from X-Japan saying it at live concerts too. Next suggestion to meet a SuMetal solo along with a Kami Band intro: - Rondo Of Nightmare with Mischief Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Their standard closing song, after this song you wouldvhave to exchange the audience anyway. In reality Moa and Momo are on the Hund anyway. And if they look in your direction you go.
It's crazy to think just how much better a vocalist Su-Metal has become now that she's older. Some of the more recent tracks like Leave it all Behind and Metali, Su has hit a new level.
Nice reaction to one of their most iconic live performance videos; the energy, crowd interaction and overall performance are all exceptional. It's almost a rite of passage video to people newly discovering them. If you're not sure which is which Yui is wearing a glove on her right hand and Moa on her left. I sometimes wonder how many calories they must burn during their live shows; the benefit of youth I guess.
You sound a little surprised by the vocals. The band was really built around Su's voice. There are still even more impressive vocal songs. Each album showcases Su's voice more and more as she grew older and got even better. Yes that was the Kami band.
4:15 Nah man, thats the Mic'd up crowd lol. The sound design is insane for their shows because they record live show dvd's and they try not to overdub anything. I think the most they'd do is clean it up for the vid releases. A lot of behind the scenes stuff is packed in with their liveshow dvds.
Watch the light and darknes live version of resistance and monochrome , no rain ni rainbow 2023 its a tribute to yui and mikio the guitarist of kami original that died due freak accident
Dude Rob Zombie called out people who said Babymetal wasn't "Metal" he blasted them saying how Baby Metal was so good. If ROB ZOMBIE says your metal? You win.
3 songs that, to me, showcase Su-metsl's vocals would be Rondo of Nightmare, Monochrome (piano version from The F1rst Take channel) and From Dusk Till Dawn at Budokan 2021. Hopefully, you can add those to your growing list. 🤘🦊🤘
🤘🦊🤘 I'd drop a BabyMetal rec, but I know other people are going to hook you up and that you're definitely going to be giving us more. So I'm going to suggest a different band instead. I think you might enjoy The Amazing Devil. For an intro, I'd rec Battle Cries. It's their best live, tho they are tiny and don't have many lives available, and their studio versions are usually the way to go, as they have no production budget to do justice to the songs live. Anyways. Great reaction. I love how much you're loving BabyMetal.
Another great reaction. I'm sure you get a lot of repeated Babymetal info. There are some heavy hitter commentors-not me. Who know it all. That said I've got a couple of little tips for you. To avoid your confusion. When Babymetal have any red in their outfits it is an earlier performance. Hence original gals. Only one person has left Babymetal, Yui. Last performed in 2017 and officially left in 2018. So see red, it's the OG's. There have only been two Kami Bands (with some rotation of personnel rotation). The original Kami Band-here, now known as Kami Band East. And the current touring band Kami Band West-all American musician's. Again some rotation of personnel. Though admirably and majestically backing Babymetal only the three ladies are officially Babymetal. As mentioned I'm not one of the heavy hitters but I believe I've got this info basically correct. You do a really nice job with these reactions and I'm glad you're traveling down the Foxhole.
To append: the Dark Carnival/Chosen Seven era (late-2017 through 2018) willl likely be confusing since you're watching the clips retroactively out of order. That was the period when they had already switched to wearing all-black (Legend S Baptism X shows in late-Dec 2017, where they performed entirely as a duo after Yui's sudden hiatus) & were about to don warrior costumes & heavy eye makeup (BM World Tour 2018) with either battle headgear (US/Europe tour legs, where 'Musclemetals' Minako & Minami joined BM to perform as a quartet) or punk-knotted hairstyles (the Japan leg where Shoko, Kotono, Saya also joined BM to perform as the Chosen Seven septet; plus the Asia/Oceania leg which saw only Saya staying on after BM provisionally reverted back to a trio). The next year (2019) onwards through the pandemic, BM would switch again to the Avengers (Riho, Kano, Momo) who would take turns rotating at Yui's spot. RUclips has a video 'Unhelpful guide to BM's Backup Dancers' that chronicled the various substitutions.
Great reaction, thanks! Well, if Su-metal commands to put your kitsune sign up you just put your kitsune up, plain simple! 😁 This is the most iconic performance of "Road of Resistance" and it's from January 2015 so it's from 9+ years ago. I believe there is a backing track at the point you asked but the Japanese crowd is also able to chant on time. This was just the second time they performed this song in Japan, the first one in a big format show and the third time ever since it premiered live at O2 Academy Brixton in London in November 2014. That's Su-metal's head voice and she's so good. Se has used falsetto in "From Dusk Till Dawn" and "Tsubasa wo kudasai" tho. I second the suggestion for "Akatsuki" (live at Budokan 2014 Black Night). Even better vocals and incredible instrumentals (keep an eye... or an ear on the bass line). Until next time! 🤘🦊
To answer the question of wether it's a track or the crowd (aka The One), it's usually both. There is a track there but it is just to keep The One in time with the band. The track is easily drown out by 20,000+ chanting and jumping together as 1, or The One. The reason why the crowd is next level, is because they are at church. This is a sermon of a Fox God. These people are there to worship. The One has to perform at its best to invoke the Gods. One could say, the entire production top to bottom, is to get The One to sing and jump. The One is the lead vocals. Proof of this is best seen in the live performance of Baby Metal - Death. In that song The One has 156 lines, the girls say a total of 3 lines each, for a grand total of 18 words between them all. That is the "secret" of Baby Metal.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) - Pretty much a master class in audience control. BABYMETAL believe that if a song sounds too much like one genre, then it's not a BABYMETAL song. You can definitely feel the speed metal in this one though. Herman Li and Sam Totman from DragonForce provided guitar tracks for the studio version. This performance was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) in January of 2015, with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. BABYMETAL's lead singer, Suzuka Nakamoto first appeared at SSA in 2008 as the youngest member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL. Guitarists for this 2015 performance were Takayoshi Ohmura and Leda Cygnus. The bassist was BOH, and the drummer was Hideki Aoyama. Hideki's father and brother were also drummers, so it's kind of in his blood.
"Road of Renaissance"???!!! LMAO!!! Yes, this is The Kami Band. 4:06 That's not a backing track - that's The One (the crowd) - all twenty thousand of them at this concert. 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 From what I understand, BABYMETAL does their best to make the crowd one of the group. Hence, an added meaning to "WE are . . . BABYMETAL!!!" These are the original members: Su-metal (lead singer), Moametal, and Yuimetal (backing singers/cheerleaders). Yui, unfortunately, left the group in 2018. 😢 🍅🦊🤘 This was released RUclips NINE years ago this Monday but was performed January 10, 2015 at Saitama Super Arena in Japan. Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! We are . . . BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘 See you!!!
👍 👍 Keep reacting to Babymetal and you will learn very quickly that Suzuka Nakamoto is probably the most talented, dedicated and most disciplined female vocalist on this planet. Capable of making most any music genre her own from rap (BxMxC LIVE - LIVE not the Official MV - Understand?) Bollywood (Shanti Shanti Shanti LIVE - not the Official MV) Pop (Brand New Day LIVE at Budokan 2021), Karate LIVE at 2016 Download Festival in the UK). These are just four examples of many. She is called Queen for good reason.
No backing track, that is in fact the crowd. Every BM somg has built in crowd participation parts. The crowds know what to do and when to do it. The best fans in music.
thats a track, but every singgle song they always have part like that and the fans always folowing them, thats make fans of babymetal so amazing
I love these girls and how they handled stardom with modesty .
If you like this set design, just wait until you see what they built for the Tokyo Dome shows! Also if you want to see Su's matured voice and power on full display, the First Take version of Monochrome is incredible.

Great reaction! And thanks for watching the official BABYMETAL channel 🤘🦊🎸🔥

It's their best live, tho they are tiny and don't have many lives available, and their studio versions are usually the way to go, as they have no production budget to do justice to the songs live. Anyways. Great reaction. I love how much you're loving BabyMetal.
You should definitely react to their Kami band intro videos. rondo of nightmare and catch me if you can, are two live songs with them..
Ah this is great to know ty friend for educating me and I appreciate the kind words 🤘🏾
One small correction to your pretty accurate comment. The Tokyo Dome “Red night” outfits had no red in them but instead were black and gold.
@@Killem911 Thanks 🦊
@@beakermeepmeep Wow, thanks!
that's a background track and the crowd. "Die"
🤘🦊🤘
Great reaction, thanks!
Well, if Su-metal commands to put your kitsune sign up you just put your kitsune up, plain simple! 😁
This is the most iconic performance of "Road of Resistance" and it's from January 2015 so it's from 9+ years ago.
It's my favourite version of ROR, but PIA Arena clear night version is very close 2nd 😁

"Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) -
Pretty much a master class in audience control.
Nise reaction, next pleas babymetal - monochrome live🙏🔥🤘
I got you friend ill drop a reaction 5/17 late US pst stay tuned
React to Monochrome LIVE at PIA Arena 2023 and you can see and hear just how good Suzuka's LIVE lead vocals are.
"Road of Renaissance"???!!! LMAO!!!
Yes, this is The Kami Band.
4:06 That's not a backing track - that's The One (the crowd) - all twenty thousand of them at this concert. 🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
From what I understand, BABYMETAL does their best to make the crowd one of the group. Hence, an added meaning to "WE are . . . BABYMETAL!!!"
These are the original members: Su-metal (lead singer), Moametal, and Yuimetal (backing singers/cheerleaders). Yui, unfortunately, left the group in 2018. 😢 🍅🦊🤘
This was released RUclips NINE years ago this Monday but was performed January 10, 2015 at Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!!
We are . . . BABYMETAL!!!
KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘 See you!!!
Was wondering have you heard of Nick Thurl Mavromatis? He's new song is fire! You should react to it
👍 👍
Keep reacting to Babymetal and you will learn very quickly that Suzuka Nakamoto is probably the most talented, dedicated and most disciplined female vocalist on this planet.
5:08 unlike other days ? Surely not what you meant 🙂
7:35 actually, 2 guys in harmony. Crazy stuff.
Context this was the most lyrical I have heard them be ...I think I was coming off of gimme chocolate
Also, I didn't say "unlike other days" I said they are "hitting these notes today" again coupled with the context provided above
@@HIM_066xMusicReactions Let me be very clear, the smiley wasn't making fun of you, it was just a silly joke.
No backing track, that is in fact the crowd. Every BM somg has built in crowd participation parts. The crowds know what to do and when to do it. The best fans in music.
