Ja ...you are right SHE was pregnant...on the Tour in summer of 2023....still doing Live-Concerts with HER second princess Lucy........ And still singing Ghost Love Score !!!!!!! SHE is a powerhouse....... Rock On 🤘🤘🤘
Yes, the video is a compilation of performances, and Floor was indeed heavily pregnant for the latter part of the tour. Her second daughter Lucy was born in October 2023 - her other daughter Freya is around 7 now.
The ruins in Tallinn are a very popular venue that I have on my bucket list. This is also a mini tour that document that happily includes Floor's pregnancy. I'd also like to say this is not an anti-faith song, rather an observation of the abuse of the human desire for community to be abused for power. This is one of the long running themes Nightwish has.
As one of the people said below that this song and Weak Fantasy are about the harm that some religions cause. I am a Christian and see it all the time. I recommend the concert Hellfest 2022 in France also for this song and watch ``Shoemaker`` also. This is an outside festival concert in the daylight. Shoemaker is about Eugene Shoemaker an American geologist who discovered a comet, Floors vocals are so awesome on this one especially at the end.
@@k17reactions Fun thing about Shoemaker: Tuomas never thought about this song played live....but SHE convinced him...... On these concerts, SHE mostly called it a "sing along song"....hahahaha.....as if ever someone can sing along with HER on Shoemaker !!!!!.....HER Dutch humor !!!!!!!
Great reaction, K17. Yes, the castle walls are a CGI addition to the video. The dancing skeletons are from the music video for the song and play on a screen in the backgtound.
The nice venue near by the lake in the video is in Kitee, Finland where they had their second last gig so far in June 2023. I was there in the front row witnessing how wonderfully she performed even though she was heavily pregnant. Greetings from Finland!
Thanks for sharing your reaction to a song that reflects upon the negative aspects of blind faith and dogma on society. The video was filmed at multiple locations & at times you can clearly see that Floor was pregnant. P.S. Here's another female fronted European symphonic metal band, whose vocalist Simone Simons is also from the Netherlands & in addition a good friend of Floor's: EPICA feat. APOCALYPTICA - Rivers (Live At The AFAS LIVE).
🫶🤘My absolute favourite of the human:||: nature album. To hear a very different side I suggest: How's the heart live acustic at Planet rock. It's an ode to human empathy!
🤗🍒🤘🏻 well done, I think myself that there are two better performances such as from the album (official lyric video) and from the live performance in a Virtual World
A tip in the lyrics is "Abraham cut into three". I am not an expert, but I understand this is a reference to the tribal split that led to the separation and creation of the 3 related Abrahamic originated religions, which have been in conflict with each other, and directing their faithful ever since.
This song is criticism about how religions too often have developed over time. It talks about the fact that the beginning has been many times in small and pure religious-only movements, where faith was the only focus. But quite often when the movements have got bigger then men who are interested in power start to appear and eventually put themselves if not ahead of God, but at least in par with their God. To be in power over large religious (and as side note also political) movements attracts certain personalities to whom it is not maybe so clear anymore are they more interested in their own personal power and advantage than the original faith. "Abraham cut in three" in lyrics is a reference used about three big religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam essentially being from same origins. Abraham is known figure in all of them three and the song suggests that religions got cut into these branches, not because they would have three different Gods, but because men due to their own power aspirations wanted to create these new branches just to become religious leaders. Tuomas Holopainen's grandfather was a Lutheran pastor in Finland so he is kind of well-informed and I am sure these topics have been discussed in his family. Martin Luther after all created Lutheran church as an effort trying to purify Christianity from where he felt Catholic church had gone i.e. pope and cardinals collecting money for themselves in medieval times and God becoming those days more of a supporting act. I do know that some people are suspicious when rock band song lyrics do not seem to particularly praise religion, and that is of course fine, it can be sensitive topic, but personally I find that there is room in history for this much of criticism as well.
I have gotten some very good responses that have shed a lot of light on this song. I picked up on Abraham cut in 3 & a religious aspect. I just wasn't smart enough for all the references. I won't send another long response like I did with another guy but I believe that people miss the mark when they follow religion. Now, I'm a Christian. Imperfect Christian. I do my best & try to learn from my mistakes. If someone says to me that I'm religious I tell them I'm not. I'm Christian. If you believe in the Bible, there is not one place in the Bible that tells you to be religious. It tells you to follow God through His Son, Jesus. It was the religious people, the Pharisees, that crucified Jesus. Anyway, that may be a very simplistic way of saying that but I didn't want to bore you with an even longer message. Thank you.
🤩👍💯💥🎼 The lyrics aren't particularly written to fit into any "Finnish - ish" themes 😁 More like a Big question mark on those topics/subjects in the lyricism, generally speaking... Neat reaction män and keep on rockin' with this magical band!... And stay well. Greets from Finland. 🤘😎🇫🇮💙🎶
I hope that didn't sound stupid about me saying that maybe I'd understand more if I was from that area. One thing about the channel I love is hearing from people all over the world. Everybody has different information that others don't have.
This performance of Noise and Tribal from Monsters of Rock 2022 (upgraded and in 4K) is so much better (personal opinion). Floor and the band in absolute top form. ruclips.net/video/H2iwIviaN2g/видео.html
I presumed (depending on some things you said on previous videos) that you might be a religious person, and that some songs (lyrics) from Nightwish could leave you with a questionmark or two. Especially this one and Weak Fantasy. You may correct me if I'm wrong. They have nothing against faith, believing in something that gives you strength. They rather criticize dogma, indoctrination, institutionalized religion and handing out power over your personal life to other people based on blind faith.
Well, I understand what you're saying. I always tell people that I'm not religious, I'm Christian. The reason I say that is, if you believe in the Bible, the Bible doesn't tell you to be religious. It instructs you to follow God's Word, which is Jesus. It just tells you to do the best you can to follow His examples. The reason I say I'm not religious is because it was the religious people of the day, the Pharisees, who crucified Jesus. Now, I know that I'm probably splitting hairs by saying that. However, I've had several people offer up the meaning of the song & I totally 100% agree with the lyrics. Egos, greed & ungodly desires for power are behind all the false religions. And, yes, even Christianity has its share of those who are in it for themselves & not others or God. I've said it a lot that the biggest problem with Christianity is some Christians.
Tuomas's lyrics can be a little (esoteric?) in that he often delves into ecology, evolution etc. it's all a bit 'over my head' so I tend to get into the musical arrangements, and compositions . That is not to say I don't listen to the vocalist(s) of Nightwish, as they are all amazing! 😮
The song is not anti- religious perse, but the song expresses the horrors that do occur in the name of religion. People need the feeling of belonging to a tribe. The group was vital for the survival of each individual when when we still roamed the earth as hunter gathers. The song is an indictment to all organised religions that failed to prevent abuse of power. Each promising a heaven if you do EXACTLY as the leaders say, each excluding all other religions. People that want power, manoeuvre themselves into positions where they can rule the people. Positions where they (the vivid monsters) can rape, torture and murder. And it is all condoned or covered up or even celebrated by religious leaders. Roman church with their Spanish inquisition, the mass graves at orphanages, the stealing of indigenous babies and thousands of pedophile priests that were not removed from their power. The Islamic organisations where renouncing faith is punishable by death as is being gay or criticizing your church leaders, the book or the prophet ...to begin with. And on the more extreme side: murdering young girls for not wearing their scarf 'the right way' or at the worst: enslaving women, torturing, mutilating and murdering by IS, Taliban and Boko Haram. Jewish people write about the massacre of Shechem, or the killing of the Prophets of Baal. It all happens in the name of religion. In the end religion allows for abuse of power, which leads to hate, leads to war and the most dark constructs in human history including genocide.
Thank you so much for all that information. I consider myself a Christian. A very imperfect, flawed Christian. If I tell some people that they will say, "Oh, you're religious." I say that I'm not religious. They say, "But you said you're Christian." Some may say this is splitting hairs but the Bible doesn't teach you to be religious. Who were the people that crucified Jesus? The Pharisees. The "Religious People" of the day. I grew up in the catholic church. I was always taught to do whatever the pope & the priest tells you to without question. Well, when I was 18, I started thinking for myself. One Sunday, the priest read a scripture & then proceeded to talk about it. He said completely opposite of what he had just read. After mass, I questioned him about it. He explained himself & I showed him where he contradicted what he had just read. At that point, he chastised me & told me to never question him or any priest again. That's when I stopped going to the catholic church. Now, I'm not condemning every person who calls themselves catholic. I know some of the greatest people who are catholic. But I started noticing things I'd never seen before. Like how the most important thing wasn't Jesus, it was the catholic church. Anyway, I'm sorry for getting longwinded. With your explanation of the song, that story just popped into my mind. I say a lot that the worst thing about Christianity is some Christians. But, that's what I believe to be true & all I can do as one man is try my best at all times, knowing that I'll occasionally miss the mark. Then I try to learn from my mistakes & do better next time. With all the baggage I've had throughout my life, I try my best to use the suffering to help someone else to not suffer.
@@k17reactions In the Netherlands about 25% (personal guestimate) says: i believe in Lord upstairs, but I don't believe in his ground-crew. I guess you are in that same position. Even though science and religion are not mutually excluding each other, the more you know science the less need for religion. Real concert venue. Actually, a 15th century monastery ruin located in Tallinn, Estonia. Maybe enhanced.
