Yeah well....i'm 62 and i am listening to music (especially Hardrock/Rock and all in between) but i never have touched so deeply as Floor's voice. She is the only one who can touch my heart.
My personal song of the year 2024. Top 3 in my NW rating. Whatever guard you have up, when Floor's voice comes in she cut's thru it like a fresh sharpened butcher knife and get's you right into your soul and while your bleeding out you feel satisfied. When Floor goes into her emotional mode you can sleep in the finnish winter outside in the woods and still be warmed by her voice and feel comfortable. Much Love from Germany to you and your passionate reactions!
I concur! This song has me thinking about my parents, as my father passed in 2011 at 80, and my mom passed almost a year ago at 90 years old. In my opinion,, Tuomas is reaching rarified air...as his music is maturing into the realm of only one other modern day composers, that being "Sir Elton John!" Oh...I am 67 years young....and I mainly listen to Nightwish.
Lanternlight is breathtakingly gorgeous ❣️ Not able to listen to this with dry eyes, it goes straight to your soul. It’s so fragile and strong at the same time. What a gorgeous piece of music composed by Tuomas and so emotionally sung by Floor. Tuomas said that Lanternlight is a song of love to celebrate live of the people that passed. In this case mainly his dad. My favorite song from the new album followed by An Ocean of Strange Islands.
Great reaction! And yes, this masterpiece leaves anyone quite speechless. There’s so much in it, even though it’s seemingly simple song. But there’s something very essential and deep in it. Tuomas is a genius, and Floor is a goddess.
This song is a perfect ending of the Nightwish trilogy. "Human nature" "Endless forms most beautiful" and "Yesterwynde" It makes perfect sense . Great reaction Thank you . Cheers from a finn in Sweden 👍
The first song on the album begins with the first sounds of a movie projector and Lanternlight, being the last song on the album, ends with the fading sound of the projector
i am a fan of floores belting operatic sound, and this, although a beautiful song, misses the mark of being a , could only be done by floore expeirence
You must really hate Nightwish to do this to the band.. Can you make the video smaller please, I still almost see it. Shame on the mess. Ans shame on you for doing this to Nightwish.
What indication by ANYTHING I said gave you the idea i 'hated' Nightwish? Also look at literally every other (positive) comment. You must not understand how reactions work. It's ok, I suggest you either buy a bigger screen, or just don't watch my content. No one forced you. Thanks for stopping by
I don't care for this new album. It sounds rushed. I can't put my finger on it. I think toumas wrote this for himself. I do believe this to be the last Nightwish album.
Im now 63 and this is my favorite song i have ever heard. Lanternlight and High Hopes by Nightwish effect me more then any other song

Beautiful .......should be a hit Song across the world .
Deserves a Grammy or three, but the US music industry is crap these days.

I'm a grizzled 58 year old headbanger, and I think this might be the most beautiful song I've ever heard, brings a tear to my eye every single time 🤘
The last person on the ‘ lantern light’ was Pope Leo XIII in 1896. The first moving film images in history
My Song of 2024❤
I concur 💯% Rolf ! Greetings my friend. 🤘🙏🤘

A beautiful song by Nightwish.....a goosebumps feeling.
Thank you for your wonderful reaction to this song and for sharing
Tuomas has said that it might trick you thinking it is a sad song.. it is meant as a happy song, to celebrate one’s long life after passing… ❤
