Floor Jansen is indeed Dutch. The rest of the band is from Finland except for the one member you didn't see in this video, Troy Donockley, multi-instrumentalist, who is English. That large "organ" is a prop, hiding the keyboards of the composer and lyricist of most of the songs of this band, Tuomas Holopainen, who is often called the "Metal Mozart." This song introduces the band, but there is so much more to come. Every member is an extremely talented musician who plays for the song. Their teamwork is phenomenal and the resulting music is a case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. I hope you continue down this path, where every song is different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch.

The keyboardist is who composes and directs 90% of their music that Oregon in front of him is just a front for his keyboard that is at the Wacken open air festival. There are 82 or 80,000 people there. It’s a festival in Germany if you hadn’t heard for rock bands, it’s kind of the Olympics in my opinion and that feeling you get when she hits that last high note, everybody affectionately calls that a floorgasm

Nightwish is from Finland, but Floor is from the Netherlands. You were damn feckin right on that one. Most talented female voice in all over rock and metal these days. No one carries emotions within her voice like Floor. You know why? Because she is what is called a hypersensitive person in medical therms.

Although I am not a fan of either of the previous singers, every song at this concert (15) was written for them but Floor absolutely nails them all. For me she has taken Nightwish to another level and only watch and listen to them post 2012.
About the "organ/pipes" it is of course decoration to hide his triple Korg keyboards. Anthony, I am a little surprised that you have never heard Nightwish before, specifically because Floor is the vocalist now. She is their Third vocalist and from what the band leader (and their Keyboardist) Tuomas has said, there won't be another vocalist after her. There are GREAT reasons that this is one of the top-most reacted-to videos on the internet. NIGHTWISH is one of the greatest bands to see live. This particular performance was at Wacken, Germany in 20013 where there were somewhere around 82,000 people in attendance. Can you imagine the RUSH of the feeling of power, having THAT MANY people wrapped around your little finger while leading them in a chant and getting them to do whatever you wanted for that moment? OMG! Not many people could manage what Floor did in this video. Every member of this band is World-Class in their roles and you just can't go wrong with a group like them.
Greatest joy of my life was seeing Nightwish live. If i may suggest, one of my favorite songs of theirs is Storytime, Floor performs it so well! Pan of their newest album is also very amazing!
Not "everyone"... I LOVE this song and Nightwish and Floor, so I let a potential boyfriend listened to this song, hoping he would love it too. He listened looking bored and just said something like: "Hm... way too long". Because of this I found out he was a narcissist that could not feel the emotions from this song or Floor's voice, and this insight saved me from a LOT of heartache and misery I think. :) So it can actually help discover narcs as they get exposed by their inability to feel emotions.
You sound like a native Dutch speaking person, Anthony, the way you pronounce orgel with the Dutch "g". I have been a fan of Floor since I heard her for the first time with After Forever in 2004. A friend once asked me to describe the band. I told him, imagine a symphony orchestra, a finnish rock band, a blues band, and a singer that can sing any style, falling down a flight of stairs, and getting up at the bottom and playing. And floor? where do i start? Siren, Valkyrie, Succubus, call her any of those, and you would be correct. I'm sure there are more. Welcome to the Nightwish dream.
To be this on point when this was the 13th song of a 15 song set...amazing! The guitar solo proves that often less is more. And don't get me started on the drumming. As a drummer for 54 years (I'm 61), I cannot tell you how tricky this is. And Flors vocals...what can you say...?

I saw Nightwish live in Birmingham UK in November 2022, they are awesome, best live band I've ever seen. Never thought any would top Muse and Iron Maiden but they did.

The keyboardist is who composes and directs 90% of their music that Oregon in front of him is just a front for his keyboard that is at the Wacken open air festival. There are 82 or 80,000 people there. It’s a festival in Germany if you hadn’t heard for rock bands, it’s kind of the Olympics in my opinion and that feeling you get when she hits that last high note, everybody affectionately calls that a floorgasm

Nightwish is from Finland, but Floor is from the Netherlands. You were damn feckin right on that one. Most talented female voice in all over rock and metal these days. No one carries emotions within her voice like Floor. You know why? Because she is what is called a hypersensitive person in medical therms.

I went to see Nightwish live last year and their last 2 songs of the set were Ghost Love Song at 10 mins long and Greatest Show on Earth which is 22 mins long
And no one in the band is in their 20s anymore. I'm getting tired just watching them! lol

Although I am not a fan of either of the previous singers, every song at this concert (15) was written for them but Floor absolutely nails them all. For me she has taken Nightwish to another level and only watch and listen to them post 2012.

Anthony, I am a little surprised that you have never heard Nightwish before, specifically because Floor is the vocalist now. She is their Third vocalist and from what the band leader (and their Keyboardist) Tuomas has said, there won't be another vocalist after her.
There are GREAT reasons that this is one of the top-most reacted-to videos on the internet. NIGHTWISH is one of the greatest bands to see live. This particular performance was at Wacken, Germany in 20013 where there were somewhere around 82,000 people in attendance.
Can you imagine the RUSH of the feeling of power, having THAT MANY people wrapped around your little finger while leading them in a chant and getting them to do whatever you wanted for that moment? OMG! Not many people could manage what Floor did in this video.
Every member of this band is World-Class in their roles and you just can't go wrong with a group like them.

I LOVE this song and Nightwish and Floor, so I let a potential boyfriend listened to this song, hoping he would love it too. He listened looking bored and just said something like: "Hm... way too long".
Because of this I found out he was a narcissist that could not feel the emotions from this song or Floor's voice, and this insight saved me from a LOT of heartache and misery I think. :)
So it can actually help discover narcs as they get exposed by their inability to feel emotions.

A friend once asked me to describe the band. I told him, imagine a symphony orchestra, a finnish rock band, a blues band, and a singer that can sing any style, falling down a flight of stairs, and getting up at the bottom and playing. And floor? where do i start? Siren, Valkyrie, Succubus, call her any of those, and you would be correct. I'm sure there are more. Welcome to the Nightwish dream.
To be this on point when this was the 13th song of a 15 song set...amazing! The guitar solo proves that often less is more. And don't get me started on the drumming. As a drummer for 54 years (I'm 61), I cannot tell you how tricky this is. And Flors vocals...what can you say...?

Love the introduction. Nightwish music fullfills my past fantasies and imaginations that i had as a kid playing D&D, Heroes of Might and Magic etc and all those fantasy lord of the rings type movies and books i read.
And Floor is also married to the drummer in the Swedish band Sabaton ( modern metal bards when it comes to war history ( since you are getting all the nightwish lore i go for the more obscure info connected to nightwish) .. great live ( fun dudes) amazing music videos ( Christmas truth, Bismarck or 1916) .. torching animated versions with a lot of history ( no bullets fly, nightwitches) .. lives are really good ( Gothenburg “ en livstid I krig” English subtitles comes to mind .. and more) .. but when it comes to nightwish .. romanticide and song of myself
