Hey guys, my Quest 3 arrived two days ago, and I’m really impressed with VR (it’s my first time trying it out). I haven’t had any issues like motion sickness or eye strain while using it, but after taking the headset off, my vision gets a bit weird. When I look at my TV or phone screen, it feels like the screens have depth, or the text looks wobbly. Also, I notice I feel kind of restless, like I’m still in VR even when I’m back in the real world (probably because VR works so well that I barely notice the difference). It’s a bit creepy. Is it normal to have this experience at the beginning? Or does it mean I just don’t handle VR well and should stop using it and maybe return it? That would suck because I’ve really been enjoying it... But of course, I don’t want to risk my (mental) health either.
Haha no, you should be perfectly fine. Your brain has to do a little adapting, getting used to. VR can be pretty overwhelming, especially when you're a newbie. Over time you'll get more aquinted with being in a VR space and feel more at ease. Don't overdo it and take regular breaks, that's all i can say as a VR gamer for about eight years now. Have fun with your Quest 3!
Make sure to get your IPD checked that is the distance between the pupils of your eyes. The optometrist can those this very cheap. There are apps you can use to help and you can also measure yourself using a ruler but this Is a important measurement to get right and on the quest 3 you can set the ipd to your amount and this helps with blurry vision
@@ShapeshifteR-TheAnomalyGameCat Yeah, because of the symptoms I'm currently taking it easy and trying not to spend too much time in VR. Thanks, I'm also looking forward to being able to fully enjoy it! :)
My roommates brother gave me a PSVR1 for free (I paid him for it anyway) a week ago, and I've decided that it's too... Outdated for my own enjoyment, with its reliability on the external camera. Sure Hitman doesn’t have all the content that the console version a have, but it’s still worth playing, especially if it’s on sale.
