My clutch cable was way too tight and by the time it was caught and adjusted the clutch is now slipping pretty bad. Have a Barnett clutch replacement kit I ordered but they did not send that inner steel plate or wire. Is it necessary to replace that inner plate and wire?

Heard some guys have tried NSU fix without removing the clutch basket with a low profile wrench. From doing this you think there i enough clearance to get at the top screw?

Eh, i don’t think i would bother trying that. It was fiddly enough as it is. If i had to do it over again i would buy the specialized clutch basket holding tool. If you have that removing the basket is pretty easy. I only struggled because of that cheap tool i had, which i have since thrown in the garbage :)

@@practicaladvmoto good to know. My 2017 only has just over 5000 miles so trying to avoid messing clutch up. Looks loke bottom bolt has easy acces, top one not so much.
