Moto Vlog 004: In Which The Big Red Pig Rides Again
What happened to the long range tank and seat?
starting when hot....red hot start...half throttle
yeve all thevwrong gear on espeicalybyer motocross boots..ye must be sweatin like the inside o a bus drivers glove...😅
wat a belter o condition...ive one but not as tidy ad that
you put the damper spring wrong, should be inside higher than the outside, check the manual diagram
You need to keep the end of the-ring 'dead-square' to the grinding-wheel , top-ring can be in-the-middle of the-range but 2nd-ring needs to be at the highest/larger-gap . You also need to minimally 'de-burr' the end of the-ring that has been filed/ground or whatever
That is how to scrape the barrel😮
I wish I lived next door to you!😂
😂 don’t do crack!
I see why it broke fat boy!! Lolz I can say it. I can say that. Cause my fat ass building a skip loader or like the new ambulance stretcher loader. My 450 pound neibor was loaded with ease. Wow. Like a motorcycle lift with big wheels. That lift it up to rv trailer slide . PoW ! I can doo it. But I like the skip loader idea. Best. For other things.
Remove *RED* Loctite WITHOUT Heat ruclips.net/video/X7b1zphuPWA/видео.html
Yea dude. This is why you're supposed to read the instructions. It very clearly says dont use on plastics for the red. It also is recommended only for use on fasteners you don't ever intend on removing.... you you should have used the purple or even blue... Also probably start using your brain too. Might help out.
I would have replaced the rivets with large machine screws.
same and perhaps nylock nuts
cool vid! do you still have this bike?
What's max weight on the ramps?
1200
Crack city.
Well red is called permanent for a reason, lol, live and learn. Plus, brake clean would have helped you remove it without all that grief...
Well, that's why you should definitely use it if you want to permanently lock it.
you have to make the locking tab flush with the nut wall i think, otherwise it doesn't lock properly. so better to tighten the nut more.
LOL THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT OF RED LOCTITE
I always drench the threads on spark plugs with the red stuff, and impact the shit out of it. Works good nice and tight
Absolute menace
😂
I hope to get one soon too. I'm sure it will be a weird adjustment. Where did you get the long range seat and take k kit ? Thanks for your time sir. 👍
Great video, about how heavy is this bike 🚲 😀
My clutch cable was way too tight and by the time it was caught and adjusted the clutch is now slipping pretty bad. Have a Barnett clutch replacement kit I ordered but they did not send that inner steel plate or wire. Is it necessary to replace that inner plate and wire?
Bro u put the outer washer and nut on backwards. That's why u couldn't get the bolt right enough. The curved side of the nut goes inward to meet the washer and sit fully up against it.
do you have a reference to that information? It says in the manual that the sunken side of the washer should face the crankcase, that means that the higher side should be closer to the pressure plate and the sunken side should be closer to the crankcase as far as i understand.
A real easy way to replace rivets is drill them. Personally, I use a larger drill bit and careful drill out the heads without cutting into the base metal. Then take a punch or nail and pop out the left over nub. This way the original hole isn't damaged, enlarged, or elongated.
butt crack for days
Looks a lot like N idaho/ eastern washington
Yep! This is western Washington
Love the DR650, super capable. With some modifications makes a great light ADV bike. Not as comfortable on freeway as big ADV bikes but way, way easier to ride off pavement. Love a day of gravel roads on mine.
Heard some guys have tried NSU fix without removing the clutch basket with a low profile wrench. From doing this you think there i enough clearance to get at the top screw?
Eh, i don’t think i would bother trying that. It was fiddly enough as it is. If i had to do it over again i would buy the specialized clutch basket holding tool. If you have that removing the basket is pretty easy. I only struggled because of that cheap tool i had, which i have since thrown in the garbage :)
@@practicaladvmoto good to know. My 2017 only has just over 5000 miles so trying to avoid messing clutch up. Looks loke bottom bolt has easy acces, top one not so much.
reading is important
By removing the clutch and kickstand switches, you've created an electric bike... It will move forward using your starter only and no engine... until you run out of battery power... For that matter, all cars and motorcycles with an electric starter are EV's...
nice bike but ur a pussy lol
my dream it’s a trial bike electric or 2 stroke but i’m to old 😭
Your never too old
Aaahh… just do it. If u don’t do ur dream now u will regret it.
ma dream its a trial bike electric or 2 stroke but i’m to old 😭
well how old are you?😢
Hey look, another moron using a product in a manner that it wasn't intended.
Shudda had the little fella in ur hand as u promenaded up & down the ramp....
What kind of range can you do with that?
Dunno. Never really pushed it. Its not the sort of bike you would be doing a lot of distance on anyway
Red locite you should have known better ....

Red loctite simply heat it .... silly .
Fixed with Loctite Orange New on the Market 2020 !!
How tall are you?
6 feet 1 inch
@@practicaladvmoto hate to ask, but how heavy are you? I'm a big dude myself and am thinking about a trials bike or supermoto.
@@peadookie I’m 280 lbs. though at the time this was filmed i think i was 330.
im 6'5" 280 lbs. n love it...its a stand up bike...not a sit down...n go up the gears123 are climbing...45 is fur trails..thinknyour in 2nd or 3rd
had mine 2 years in scotland...love it
Che asma🤭
Just get up in the bed and let the rear tire fall off the tailgate, it'll balance on the skid plate while you get down. How's the range on that bad boy? Strongly considering one, my old Gas Gas TXT 280 is horrible on fuel, even carrying extra. I figure that 4 stroke with it's large seat tank would make a great long range trail bike, seems like the best option of the trials/adventure hybrid bikes.
Gracias por estar ahí!
Disfrútala!! Sigue practicando y veremos tu evolución. Gracias por estar ahí!!
Spraying brake cleaner down the threads would’ve helped there. Blue 243 should be your choice next time buddy.
Blue is 242.
Thank you for being the only video that talked about the dampener spring washer pieces.
Good stuff. They make great trail bikes.
