daniel was only slower than yuki in belgium and cota last year every other race he was quicker daniel has been poor in qualifying which is the reason hes getting caught up at the back (abu dhabi he had equal pace to yuki despite having a tear off in his brake duct, he finished 11th from 15th - bad quali good race) he was quicker in brazil with rear wing damage. We saw this weekend even despite him having no running till saturday he was there with yuki (he would have gotten that q3 spot if he had the friday running). imo his qualifying form is the only reason he isnt beating yuki and yuki is in good form which starts from his extremely consistent quali pace. Yuki is able to perform well in quali and then do the job in the race if both daniel and yuki made it out of t1/2 in 10th and 11th yesterday im sure daniel would've been fighting yuki for that point.

It's lonely here, isn't it. So a driver sees a threat of collision on his left and watches the car on the left. Meantime a car that's behind him on his right does a banzai overtaking move - he was almost out of track when he started his move - which was very risky IMHO and that risky move was the greater contribution to the accident. I agree, however, that it was a racing incident at the end of the day.

I disagree with Daniel being a clanger, this week he didn’t get a chance to race an FP1 he didn’t race in F2 due to the weather he only had FP3 the time for him to do all of his running where all the other drivers had FP1 in their car.
I know that the crash was classified as a racing incident. However, he did have the racing line and was ahead of Alex and if it would’ve been later on in the race, Alex would’ve been at fault for that accident as he was not ahead of Daniel
going into the corner. You can also look at the inboard of the cars. However, Alex was in a blind spot, and Daniel wanted to make sure he gave space for Lance. Alex could’ve put on the brakes and not tried to go for the space looking at the footage.

Are the sponsors on RB really anything to do with Ricciardo? I doubt it. CashApp was on the Red Bull from 2022 - 2023 so I very much doubt they jumped to the lesser team due to a driver who has had such a poor couple of years. That was obviously some kind of internal sponsorship shift. I am also not convinced he has anything to do with Visa or Hugos decision to switch. Hell, Hugo alone is probably more interested in Yuki than they are of Daniel considering Yuki is a bit of a fashionista. Hugo is a Gen-Z focused brand, why would they be interested in a millenial driver?

26:50 that would look sooo bad for them! remember when HAAS had the two rookies that in almost every week-end destroyed the cars? well we never saw that year the things that Williams is doing this year!
and HAAS wasn't financially in a much better situation...
if they'll withdraw completely from the week-end it could be a very bad thing for the sport and for them
31:05 Sainz is just being sure to make a good impression on everyone on the paddock so that next year he's sure to have a seat! it's not like he's doing all of this to show Ferrari that they did the wrong choice 😅

I do honestly believe that the only driver who could challenge Fernando right now with the same car is Max. Probably Max would win, but the rest of grid is so far away from these 2 IMO. It is unbelievable what Fernando always takes from his cars. We do not see Hamilton , Ricciardo or Vettel doing the same things, as often, when their cars do not work flawlessly.

"This is Lewis' worst start ever to a season"
Why do people keep forgetting about 2009 when he scored only 10 points in the first 9 races?
And yes, I know that with the current points system he'd have 28 points but I do see him get more than that before we get to Canada.
Lewis has always been very hypocritical imo about these type of things and just seems to forget stuff like this.

There also didn't seem to be much downtime, with something always going on. It also didn't rely on artificial factors with safety cars/red flags and changing weather to be entertaining. For a clean, dry race, I don't see it getting much better apart from their being a fight for the win.

Rumors are Toto Wolff is waiting for Sainz to be announced at Red Bull in 2025 to confirm Kimi Antonelli. Alonso will renew his contract with Aston and Liam Lawson will get a Racing Bulls seat. Having said that, if Perez keeps consistently putting out drives like this, Red Bull would not want to rock their driver boat. It is difficult to make a choice here.
