Since the first time I saw definitive technology speakers in home theater magazine growing up I was in love. I never thought I'd own any and for a long time I didn't. About 7 years ago I bought a pair of 8020st, a sc8040 center, 2 sm45's and 4 X 800's for atmos. I want to add 2 Dn 12's or 15's to compliment my 2 pc2000's in the future. I know my system is humble compared to many but I absolutely love it for both movies and music 😊
This is a weird demo to me, the speakers seem to still be angled and on stands as if they were stand alone obviously with something like this it'd be unreasonable build a room but it might take a review in an actual space to determine the actual quality
Gene, I really appreciate all the content you put out. It's great! I'm in a dilemma regarding our living room. I can't pick between the Definitive technology towers with in-walls for surrounds or go with the RBH on walls or the JTR 110ht. I've heard all three in person. In a 13x17ft living room what would you go with?
Hello, I have an off-topic question. I would be happy if you answer. I want to make coax between DAP and DSP to use in the car. What would your cable and rca suggestion be for me? thanks.
I'm running the 6700H with the same channels driven. We both love it. Incredibly immersive sounds. My full system cost about 1000 more, but it depends on what speaker system you go with.
@Woot-Zee It's difficult to do in-wall measurements unless you have a baffle wall to put speakers in and out. Based on their box speakers, I suspect the in-walls would do well, too. They definitely sounded good.
@@MrJustmitch Nothing about this channel is average. We cover all budgets of audio. If this doesn't fit your budget, look at some of our reviews of Dayton Audio and Monoprice.
@@FrankieKennethL have you heard the in wall perlistens or focal? Building a home with a dedicated theater room trying to figure out what to go with no one I’m aware of has both available to demo
@@clw22580 I upgraded my setup from focal 300 series in-walls. They’re better than these DefTecs but do require EQ to tame the brightness a bit. I have only heard Perlisten 2 channel. They’re wayyyy too expensive for me to consider so I can’t comment much more than that.
I love my definitive technology! I'm still running BP20s I bought new in 93!!! Still sound great!!!

That thumbnail was click bait 😉
I'm just trying to get Gen Z to watch our content 😉

Who's the girl in the thumbnail? She doesn't appear anywhere in the video. False advertising :)

My BP7000SC's and my Supercube References will always be with me.
Bought em new back in antiquity.
Thank you Gene and Michael! I own the previous generation CI series for front channel. Five years and still going strong. Every seat is the best seat!
I much preferred their room last year to this one. I didn’t find this room ad dynamic as what they did last year. Sorry.
Send one to Erin audio corner! :)
No need, James Larson does exhaustive testing and we've reviewed a slew of Definitive Speakers with measurements.
@@Audioholics Some measurements of these in-walls? On their website, maybe?

12k lol
Love my Definitive Technology BP2002TL's.
Those speakers are essentially set up as "box" speakers LoL
Did you expect them to cut holes in the walls at a hotel? 😆
12k lol get real please
@MrJustmitch that's a lot of product for $12k, for real...
@@Audioholics and that’s a lot of money for the average guy or couple to find they need to get real it’s only for the very wealthy fact

Nice pricing curious how it would stand up against way more expensive Perlisten and Focal in wall options
It’s nowhere in that league. In price or performance. I listened to this in person and was not particularly impressed.

Focal would mop the floor with them both.
Deftec is one of the worst audio brand on my list.
12k? Are you tripping on acid?
Nope, that's a lot of gear and performance for the price.
Use dipoles w 4 Aperion 633-T 😊
