    Great Technology, HOWEVER, I've been using this drone EXTENSIVELY (EVERYDAY) on a professional level and I have problems with the body of itself. I experienced hairline cracks in areas such as the arms (the motor housing/sleeve), the gimble and the landing gear housing in the area of the screws. Recently the top strobe light fill inside of the body. So Great technology but the body is fragile.

    Question: With the 210 RTK V2 and top mount camera Z30. Do you need to add the additional GPS module if you are not using the RTK base station.?

    Nice review. I think you missed a few details. On the new 210/210RTK your don't have the possibility to mount a single gimbal holder. With the old one the single mount holder was delivered with the drone. For me it is kind of sad. The only 2 camera you can use in port 2 is XT and Z30. I don't use those. The problem with dual mount is if your mapping with a camera like X4S then you sometimes get part of the landing rubber thing in the picture. With mono mount, you don't have that problem.
    A nice thing is that the red and green light at the motors is change so it is possible to see it in dark when the drone is over your head. There is also a new Center of gravity calibration. It woks and the drone fly better with a heavy camera in port 1 or 2. But I will stille prefer a mono mount.
    Much of the components inside is change, and therefor has the new one a much bigger (and noisier) fan. The good thing is that the boot time and shut down time is much faster.
    On the RTK is the RTK pole change in the left side, so it is much easier to get the SD card out - the was a pain on the old one.
    The X7 works fine, but it is Pilot app only and it isn't very good to do pictures with. You don't have camera settings in the top of the screen, and therefor is it impossible to use the Cendens dedicated buttons to change pictures settings. It is also not possible to change gimbal settings if the horizon is a bit off.
    A nice thing is you get the Ultra bright Crystal sky in the package, the old one it was the 1000 nits 7.85" you got.

      Hello Christian - Let me try to address your comments one a time. The XT should always go to Port 1. If you are not using an XT you can run any compatible camera in Port 1 and that's what we did when we filmed all the footage we have. We used our XT2 in Port 1 and it worked great. We also used the X5S in Port 1 but also in port 2 when using the XT2 at the same time. There would never be a need for a single port gimbal holder because you can run any compatible camera in Port 1 but more importantly people purchase the 210 for 2 camera ability. If you want a single camera gimbal holder you should purchase the M200. Also if if you are concerned about getting props in the picture you can still use the single camera plate on top of the aircraft. We did not notice any increase in boot time. Also can you explain why you are under the impression that Pilot affects taking good pictures with the X7? You have complete control over exposure in Pilot and didn't have any issues at all taking good pictures or video. We were also able to change the horizon level with our X7.

      @@SteelCityDrones IF port one is empty then you can put XT in port one. Maybe I didn't expressed me correctly. X4S, X5S, X7 and XT2 will ONLY work in port 1. XT and Z30 will work in both. You can't not use the X5S in port 2 that is for sure.
      The problem with no mono mount is only in the 210RTK. It is made for mapping, with the new RTK system, and if you turn a camera 90 degrees down, you will experience pictures with the rubber thing on the leg getting in the picture. Especially if it is a bit windy. It is not props that are the issue.
      No increase in boot time, V2 is faster and also faster to shout down.
      The problem with the Pilot app compared to GO4 App is that you in GO4 has a line in the top of the screen with camera information (ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed ect.) That line with these information is not in the Pilot app. So to change those settings with the buttomens on the Cendens is very difficult, because you can't see how many steps you change. What you can do is using the in app camera controls but that is sort of a step back when you ar used to GO4 and Cendens dedicated buttons.
      What I couldn't find in pilot app is the function to adjust the horizon if it wasn't 100% even.

      @@christianwiggers1739 There's no problem with the current dual mount system with having your camera look straight down and avoiding the landing gear. In pilot you can change Aperture, shutter speed, ISO and use the histogram to properly adjust your exposure.

    • @christianwiggers1739
      @christianwiggers1739 5 лет назад

      @@SteelCityDrones Obviously you havn't been doing any mapping mission with either the old M210RTK or the New 210RTK - they both have the samme issue with landing gear sometimes getting in the picture but on the old you could avoid this with the mono mount.
      You can not use the Cs, Ca and Ce bottom on the Cendence. It is a software issue in pilot app, that may be fix in future updates, but for now you can not use it, and if you use X5S with zoom like the Olympus 14-42 the pilot app do not support zoom. All those small problems is du to the fact that the Matrice 200 V2 serie only support pilot app and not GO4 as the old on did.

      @@christianwiggers1739 Yes we have done mapping missions with the M210 in fact we have used it for our new mapping class that's about to come out. Normally when we fly we will use a prime lens with the X5S that gives us a 1.0 GSD at an altitude of about 180 feet. This never gives us any issues with having landing gear in the pictures.

    Guys what is your recommendation on flying the 210 V2 between buildings in regard to position and interference

    • @SteelCityDrones
      @SteelCityDrones  4 года назад

      KKD you can lose GPS and I would advise to fly in ATTI mode if you are skilled enough. Interference as in metal or EMI again would need to be mitigated via 210rtk or flying in ATTI mode.

    Hello, good video, can you help me with a question, I have a Matrice 200 v2, I have worked it on Android with DJI Pilot without problem but it does not work for me on iOS with GS-Pro, I have an iPad Mini 4 and according to the DJI page It is compatible but when I open the application, the drone does not recognize me? Do you know if I'm uninformed about something? Thanks a lot

      It should work we have had good success with it. It might be a device issue as we used IPAD PRO's when we tested.

    You went over NTRIP however didn’t get into RTK or what the best use case is for RTK, is it safe for bridge inspections where gps would be an issue ?

    Good info. But DJI needs to slow their roll when marketing to Public Safety agencies, though. Just as they were getting their drone programs started with the Inspire 1, DJI discontinued it and pushed the M210. Now as agencies are getting those, DJI comes out with the v2 and thus does the same thing with the v1’s. Not to mention the recent problems with batteries and/or software, agencies are scrambling for the v1’s . What’s more, they are voicing their frustration. I think despite the new features of the v2, agencies are hanging onto their “old” ones, especially if the new ones are not compatible with their other gear, controllers, etc.

      HI Cyber Jay 1226 - The M200-M210 came out 3 years after the Inspire 1 was released but I do get your point. Many people were very upset none of the cameras or accessories for the Inspire 2 were compatible with the Inspire 1 at first. Many customers are upset that the V2 has been released at this stage in the development of the first generation Matrice 200. As of today there are things with the V2 that still don't work with the V1 like a slave remote so your frustrations are noted.

    On the Zenmuse XT2 there are many "mm" camera types. I am having a hard time finding the pros and cons of the different mm ranges if you will?

    • @SteelCityDrones
      @SteelCityDrones  5 лет назад +1

      We will have an extensive review on the XT2 thermal camera soon that will explain more. The wider the focal length (the lower the MM number would be) is more it can have an impact on the lower resolution camera (XT or XT2 at 336 resolution). The wider the focal length (number decreases) the closer you will need to be to the subject in distance or altitude. It's important to use a 19mm with a 336 resolution camera for example.Also the higher the number (19mm or 25mm for example) the narrower the field of view and the higher in altitude you may need to go to get your target in the picture.

    I own an inspire 2 with cendence and 14 batteries TB50. I need to bring as thermal camera in the air... The XT is not comptaible with inspire 2 serie.
    So, I need to buy a m200 to do so.
    But the m200 is over and now there is the m200 V2. OK so now I need to buy some new batteries because my 14 batteries are not compatible any more.
    COME ON DJI !!!!!!!!!!
