    As always, good video Bo!

  •  4 года назад

    First of all, thank you so much for your videos. I would like to ask you for a little help. We are working in solar farm inspection and we use an M210 RTK-V2 with two transmitters in the same way you describe in the video. The problem we have found is, that as soon as we link the D-RTK-2 one of the transmitters is disconnected. I mean that it seems impossible to have three devices linked to the M210 at the same time. We have made a hundred tests and, whatever the third device we try to link, one of the other two is disconnected. I have tried to get information from everywhere and I could not find anything. Obviously, we need to fly with RTK as well as a pilot and camera operator. Would you be so kind as to tell us if you have any information regarding this issue?
    Thank you very much in advance for your attention!
    Best regards!

THIS question is definitely one for Jon - he configure packages for exactly what you describe - maybe send him a email to techsupport@rmus.com - you might also want to post the question as a slightly-off-topic question here - as this group is full of guys flying M2xx's series hardware facebook.com/groups/759835090787690/

    • @bophoto

    What about return home function does this model have that function and can you used third party camera

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад

      Yes you can press return to home on the radio. don't think any commercial drone is sold without this GPS feature lately :-)
      You can use third party cameras in the DLSR gimbal. but it won't accept something like a CGO3 from Yuneec

  • @SkyFireDrone2022

    Hey, Bo! Since you’re buddies with Jon, maybe you can ask about map overlap and geo-tagging for me. Can you adjust the overlap percentage for autonomous grid patterns in DJI Pilot or in a better version of GS Pro? I couldn’t find it in my GSP app, only Drone Deploy. But I’ve also heard that Pix4D is still better for mapping. SAR Incident Commanders that I have spoken to want that 100% coverage before they can comfortably call an area “clear”. How can volunteer guys like me (who can’t yet afford RTD-K) get the best GPS resolution? I trust Jon more than other vendors who jump on the “Search and Rescue” market without really knowing what they’re talking about.

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад

      Im still a mapping newbie, frankly I had a fly-away with Pix4D last week, but aside from that, its incredible easy to setup overlap in Pix4D.
      Give Jon a call at the office about the GSP app, he would know.

    With both cameras on it, would the larger batteries help balance it out?

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  7 лет назад

      YES you should fly the dual cam configuration only with the larger batteries as the aircraft is then perfectly balanced.

    Just got into drones as a hobby ,love yr vids. Very insightful,I'm using a bebop 2 just to dip my feet into the hobby got it cheap , I knew it had it limitations and Flaws now I'm addicted .taken some nice video over here in the uk ,wish I had something that grave better video performance .I was thinking of a dji mavic pro ,due to the similar flight time better camra longer range ,and more reliable transmission system. Or would you suggest something else cheaper maybe with the same type of spec thanks Steve

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад

      Im a big fan of the MavicPro, however the MavicAIR have a quite better camera, so that would probably be my pick.
      BUT the Pro do have that crazy range. hard choices here :-)

    I am thinking of purchasing a drone. I have never flown one. So is it easier to learn on a $10K drone than on a $1000 drone? I have a chance to get a slightly used Matice 300 for $8K. Is this a good first drone to grow into?

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  3 года назад

      I can only assume you have a actual production need for a M300 ;-)
      That said, unless you have a _very_ specific need,
      for regular video and drone flying - grab a Mavic air2pro its a fantastic bird.
      for thermal needs consider the mavic-enterprice.
      and if your needs are thermal you should definitely aslo join Jon's FB thermal group.

    If I'm dropping 35G's, I should not have to assemble it every flight. I'll wait till the tech leaves this model behind and prices come down. Hell 5 grand for my Inspire pro was steep. DJI still market king. Cool vid guys.

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад

      You and me both, for 35g it bette come with espresso maker and the operator.
      In all fairness, its not quite what it seems like, the aircraft is far less, but adding the X5 camera, the thermal camera and the $10,000 zoom camera runs the total package cost up high.

    I wonder if u can help?I need a good controller for a 1000 mm quadcopter. It has 6115 -320 kv Tarot motor's, 60 amp ESC's. With Tarot 2455 propellers. It will carry a Align photoship one gimbal. Designed to carry DSLR's and the red epic size cinema camera's. Possible payload is up to 35 lbs. Total vehicle weight w/ payload is 55 lbs . possible. This will be used at altitude's from 8,000 ft. at take-off , to 15,000 ft max altitude. Thank's

      DJI A3
      Honestly. Align gimbal, I am not familiar with the photoship one gimbal, but... why not go with a stock DJI product that works slickly with lightbridge ?

    • @bushpilot-bm3kf
      @bushpilot-bm3kf 7 лет назад

      Cost mostly. DJI is very expensive for the high end stuff. The Align photoship one cost $3500.00 The big quad cost $4000.00 to build. I like the Pix 4 better than dji. Anyway thank's. I am considering dji a2 or one of the wookong unit's. Dji is hard to beat. I am using a dji M2 unit to test currently. I would like to send it to someone who can properly install, program a good unit. Thank you agin, for any help.

    If you fly fpv what is being broadcast to the controller the nose mounted cam or the attached cam in the mount? Can u switch between the 2?

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  5 лет назад +1

      Good question, yes you can toggle between all installed cameras, so you can flip from the FPV cam, to the zoom cam to the thermal if you want to and you can pre-program a button to center the cameras to forward FPV angle so you know what is forward with a quick click

    OK, this drone is weather proof it can fly under rain, BUT what about the camera ?

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад +2

      Great question, the cameras are NOT weatherproof, the logic is that number one they dont want the aircraft to fall out of the sky. you CAN create a fairly effective weather disk over the cameras, but personally I would rather see a weatherized camera.. just not sure i want to pay the extra to weatherize the cameras.

    • @deanrobbins8102
      @deanrobbins8102 6 лет назад

      $35,000 inspection drone services should have those $$$ in mind when bidding jobs and contracts that ensure clients are aware of sensitive nature of the equipment. If they want inspections done in the rain, then contract must state if camera is damaged, client is responsible for repair or replace cost(s).

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  6 лет назад

      I used to feel that way strongly myself, but the last couple years of high end quads suggest the actual number of motor-failures are very very rare. I've overcome my nervousness of flying the inspire1 and have not yet been proven wrong about that. but I still agree, and at this price point you can pick up a alta for cine work, I kinda like flying the alta.

    • @bophoto
      @bophoto  4 года назад

      The cameras are synced and move together by themselves. its a great system because you can see something visually and switch to see it in thermal.. or you can see something on a roof in thermal that concern you, and then toggle to visual light and or zoom in, to get context.

      The 35k figure is if you pick up the Z30 + the XT + 5X camera.

      Yes the newbies make many mistake's. I try to build w/ Tiger motor's and ESC's for the reliability. The camera's are worth the money, A used red epic for my rig cost's $ 40,000.00, the align gimbal is $3500.00. The dji rig start's to look affordable compared to my project. Thank's for the info.

    • @bophoto

      Mjah. they could, but being the 210 is more of a commercial rig. the legs tend to not be that important. not having retracts is more important because it simplify the design. less moving parts, less to not work. (legs tend to be a weak feature for daily rides)
