VTOL in this ship has some extreme vertical strafe ability. I love my tana. Small ship can land close to everything. That is a new thing though. The door was usually closed until you were in landing config. Seems they changed it to be open anytime ship is flat now. I think they need to adjust the flight modes, specifically the engines. This ship has Xian engines just like the karthual. So in vertical mode the engines should gimbal in their respective hemispheres. Then in flat mode they should work like F-22 thrust vectoring nozzles to give better maneuverability in atmo. Would give you a reason to be in flat mode in atmo, as makes sense being a giant wing. And in space you fight in vertical mode so it can be more maneuverable like the karthual. If you have Xian engines, why not use them like the Xian do? Still love my Tana. Total sleeper ship even as weak as it is.
I never expected to like the Tana. I bought one out of curiosity and now it’s one of my most used fighters. It looks very star warsy and gives me a b-wing vibe. It’s not fast and should probably have 3 s1 shields given it’s speed and cross section, but I still have a lot of fun with this ship.
I'm sorry, I started dying when you blew up in the hanger. I did the same thing my first time in a Reliant
What I want from the Tana: Wing position independent from landing gear or Vtol, bigger capacitors, a third s1 shield and a way to either exit the pilot seat while quantum travelling or just a button to open the latch door that leads to the pilot seat, automatically switching the wing position so we don't get stuck when we beg log.

I wouldve switched out the outter rack for 2 S3 missiles and made them all EMs, so i can basically have a swarm of EMs
as for cross section its not that bad, just gotta remember where your flat side is. from the front and rear the ship is basically a knife edge cross section wise
PS big appeal is price, you can full kit a Tana (including buying the ship) for under 1.5mil aUEC
as for the impact spin, if you switch wing modes as you spin it rapidly slows it
Tysm for the video, really appareciate the fair take you have on the Tana, get tired of the same old "dog piling" on the Tana and other Reliants, 90% of the dogpiling is from people who have never even tried any of the Reliants. So it was really nice to see someone give a fair shot.
I'll be doing some loadouts for this thing so I'll be throwing EMs on it
If they fixed the bedlog issue on the Tana it would at least challenge the Titan's position as the best starter.

I wish the actual central part of the hull was a bit larger and extended down, similar to the Jedi ships from Star Wars, that way it wouldn’t look completely flat when landed
LOL at the beginning. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does that. I took off from Port Oli last night after getting a server dump and forgot to return my throttles to zero. I strafed up to take off and immediately accelerated into a ring support strut, but bounced off without blowing up. It was funny. It also took me a while to realize to turn my velocity limiter down before lifting off in a hanger, because the speed limiter also affects strafe thrust. It keeps me from lifting off into the hanger roof like you did as well. Also, after watching this video, now I know how to use gimbals. I had them on in my Freelancer and had no idea where I was supposed to aim. "What's with all of the circles!?" I know now the large circle is the gimbal limit and the small circle is the lead for targeting.
Always like seeing the Relliants getting attention. Since you didn't care for the Alpha Mustang, maybe you can do the Nomad?

I loved that ship man, you know a bit bigger and maybe bigger / more weapons you would class this as a destroyer not a light fighter
Ok don’t take it the wrong way but does having 1 nut make it easy for airflow plus where does it bias towards more? The left or the right also in the summers is the current nut the longer one or the shorter one thanks for the vid
Needs a big buff, I’ve flown one a lot, been fragged in it a lot, and since I have had a very easy time burning Reliants in better fighters. With its shape and thruster locations it should have unbelievably good roll and pitch rates, which it does not.
Powerful Vtols on this puppy lol..Is dogfighting in flying wing mode better in atmo? Also This looks like it would be a great missle support boat with all those torps :) Nice Vid btw.
Can you load the Tana's wing missiles with rattler 2s, and have another player with you practicing with that remote turret/missiles?? That would be dope...........

You probably figured it out by now, but the big red thing in the self status MFD isn't your ship being red, it's turret orientation. The 2-gun mounts are actually turrets the copilot can use, but are slaved to the pilot by default.
The engines are actually supposed to oscillate like the ones on the new Fury. They are also supposed to be MUCH stronger. The damn thing barely has any thrust to weight ratio.

Have you tried over clocking the power system? It generally recharges the weapons faster.
Not yet. There's still some things I haven't messed around with yet.

There a different ball turret you can buy to put 2 size 2s on the reliant series.

I believe bed logging in the Reliant series is fixed in 3.18.x as PES retains the ship flight state.

Fixed! Tried today with a rental for invictus. Worked just fine, logged with landing gear down with power on engine off 👌

Your using t1600's yes? If you are check out Jonatan Winters channel, check out the video titled "Pedals". He has in there how to use a program to add a modifier button to your sticks. Doubles the amount of buttons you can bind to your controls.

Kore is one of my favorite ugly ship in the game. I like the Kore for running bunkers. Tana I don't really have an interest in.
