      Starcitizen doesnt require that much tho, you can run it on a 1060. aslong as you have more than 4 cores cpu, 16gb ram and an ssd. Starcitizen is very SSD dependant and very Ram heavy, i suggest 32gb but minimum 16gb. I wouldnt recommend anyone to get a laptop as they are very pricey compared to what you get spec wise. save up for a desktop they are cheaper bang for the buck and have better overall performance/temperatures.

    Love the Reliants, the Kore is the ship that got me into this game! Shame they have so many little issues. The red indicators on your ship MFD aren't actually damage, they're showing you the direction your TURRETS are pointing. The guns on the wing tips aren't just gimbals, they're full rotation turrets, so the MFD shows you their heading :)

  • @jamescossey854
    @jamescossey854 2 года назад +35

    Very important thing that the reliant do. When you have a co pilot, they control the top and bottom turrets at the same time. Not only that but when they have control, the turrets can turn 360⁰. This allows the pilot to fly, also use the 2x size 1s if needed. But the co pilot can lay down fire with out the pilots maneuvering affecting the turrets aim to much. Most ships as it twist and turns, the turrets can't stay on target because of the reduced angles of fire. Reliant does not have that problem.

    There are four variants of this ship, with two of them being unique to all ships in the game. I love all of them.
    The "Tana" is the Fighter version (the first one you pulled out). What they don't tell you on the spec sheet is that it has two beds, can be configured with six guns, and (get this) has "28 missiles".
    The "Kore" is the cargo version; with the only real disadvantage being that it has no bed. It can carry a very small vehicle in the back (I've carried a hoverquad myself)
    The "Sen" is the Science version, which has internal signal dampeners (for stealthy observation) and an advanced scanner suite for "Discovery Missions" (a unique class).
    Finally, there is the "Mako", a deep space "Broadcast News Van". It has Image Enhancement Suite (telescopic cameras (?)) that will be able to broadcast news wherever it happens in the Empire. This I feel, is one of the most exciting ships in the game because it gives us a hint into a future skill class. Imagine being a "Journalist" and appearing on video monitors throughout the Empire with hard-hitting news stories. This is probably the most "unique" career path in this game or any other game out there.

The ship is surprisingly sturdy though for its size. I just wish the copilot had an option to set the ship into Vtol or landing mode IF there was no pilot so they could take control, Maybe like the Defender. But other than that and the fact you cant bedlog in it cause bed logging sets you into flight mode and there is no way to rotate the ship from the bay... That being said its def one of the coolest ships IMO.

The "downside" is that the extra living space reduces the cargo space, so no vehicles. It might fit a Ranger when they're out. For loading vehicles onto ships, I always preferred to land my ship at The Commons and use the garage there.

    The Reliant series is the Forgotten and overlooked series of ships. With it being the smallest Multi crew ship in the Verse, amazing views and all-around abilities to do a bit of everything very well the Kore or Tana are the best choice if you need a great all-around ship. I've had 2.5 SCU of boxes/flight recorders and scavenged boxes stacked in my 1 SCU space in my Tana. I'm eagerly awaiting the Tumbril Ranger bikes to hit flyable so hopefully you and a buddy can load up a pair or Rangers. Loading the Ranger dirt bikes up in the Kore pickup truck and go riding. But the whole Reliant Series offers so much, and it just seems to be forgotten or overlooked and plagued with bugs for the longest time. And the Mako & Sen are the only News & Science ships currently Flyable in the verse. My Kore Starter Pack was my very 1st ship in SC. When I came into the verse at the end of 2.5 and man the Kore was so broken when they 1st became flyable in the verse! But the Reliant series is my absolute most favorite ship in SC and can't wait till it gets it day in the sun. And there is the Reliant Owners Group ORG in SC that is a club of people that love their Reliant series ship in Star Citizen for those that want to fly with fellow pilots that love their Reliant just as much as you do.

It's kind of like the Nomad not a bad a ship just positioned so close to one one of the go to classic value kings. In the case of the Kora people save the $10 and get a Titan and in the case of the Nomad people spend the $20 and get a Cutty. Get a copilot and those Kore wing turrets can flip 360* which can make for some fun and interesting attack angles and maneuvers.

It's not terribly under-armored, wish it had a 3rd shield slot.
    If you bought one from the website, they give you a Nomad with it till it's bugs are fixed. Don't land the Nomad in a windy place. I had to chase it for 2km, where it finally tumbled over a bluff out of the wind. I dislike the Nomad.

    Gotta admit the Kore is one of my solo investigation or package runners. It’s small, cheap to fuel, has decent QT distance for its size and pretty good for planet diving to ditch larger ships in atmo.

    Similarly to you, I absolutely love all the mechanics and anything like this ship is just absolutely why I love this game - saying that, it’s a bit too ugly for my daily run around. Definitely going to add one to my collection (with in game currency!).

    Hey Ollie, I was wondering if you could make a video on the most fun missions you personally partake in, what they entail, and what section to look in for them (sector of space and mission category). Being a new player who has never really gotten past the initial set of missions in the reputation system mainly due to in-game complications, I’d like to know what to focus my time on leveling up for a more enjoyable experience so I can hook my friends like this game has hooked me lol. And everyone only posts missions that make good credits. Idc about $ I just want to game to be a cool experience. Would help new players decide what they’d like to work on so they can eventually get some of those cool missions I see you RUclipsrs doing and open up the career paths for us noobs.

    I really like the tana it also is relatively cheap ingame and for what it is you get a lot of firepower downside is that you are a big target for a light fighter and your hallo seems to be made out of paper

    Kore was my first upgrade. Love the uniqueness. But the 6 SCU was not enough to make it worth much, so having a ship with a bed seemed a better idea. So I upgraded to the tana, which has same ability to put those 4x s2 guns on the wings, but also gets 16x s2 missiles added to it. Bed and kitchen just add to its abilities that unfortunately the Kore is the only one that does not. The reliants have Xian engines like the Karthual thing. But for some reason CIG did not allow them to gimbal and only turn down for vtol. So vertical or horizontal has no effect on flying. I wish they would make them gimbal in a full hemisphere when in vertical mode, and then just thrust vector like an F-22 when in horizontal mode. So you have atmo mode and space mode.

      Tana has 20 missiles. Changing to Toshima turret gives you 6s2 guns, instead of stocked 2s3+2s2.

    • @Power5
      @Power5 2 года назад +1

      @@SwedishLatino all reliants have the 4 under wing missiles. I said the Tana gets 16 added to it. But yes that does equal the total of 20.
      If you are running ballistic it makes sense to fix s2 under the wings of the reliants, but if you are running laser, keep the gimabls so all weapons are gimbaled. You do not gain enough DPS by fixing those 2 underwing weapons as s2. Keep them s1 gimbaled and then the tana can offset its slight maneuver disadvantage compared to other light fighters.

    • @SwedishLatino
      @SwedishLatino 2 года назад

      @@Power5 6s2 do more damage than 2s3+2s2 though. Honestly it's always better to go fixed imo for that extra damage boost which can give the edge. 6s2 cannons are very much deadly 😎
