I like the MIS. Daily driver. I like the look. Industrial and trucker vibes, with a shade military. Like the C-130 Hercules. It was never going to win a beauty contest. I think they nailed it. The rate of fire on the missiles is kind of disappointing, but I love trucking in it anyway.

You might like the Crossfield quantum drive more. The difference in travel times is negligible, but it sips on fuel. You can chain multiple bounties together before heading back to refuel/repair.

The corsair got a few buffs some months after release. Its wing roots are way tougher than they used to be, so you should hardly ever lose a wing before your hull is red, and it's a little more agile too. It's atmo flight model is also different than it used to be, you now need to remember you have massive wings but you can use that to your advantage.

Corsair is GOATED, Drake for lyfe.

Reallly? How can you even get it out of the hangar,? Corsair still has anchor bug, damages or destroys the ship every time.

They used to talk about Drake ships being less durable, as a general theme compared to their similar sized counterparts from other brands. Is that still a thing or have they moved away from that?

Food for thought: The Corsair is, officially, an explorer. Which means she might have a bonus for discovering hidden wormholes for finding alternate ways to get in and out of Pyro.

2 issues made me melt my Corsair. 1. Bug where you cant get out of the hanger 2. The wings get old real quick.

I had same experience with corsair. It felt better than it did when I flew it after patch.

Full Omnisky build is a joy. A little tough against fighters when you’re chasing them with your reticle, but I just save them for last unless convenient. Also, with more time in the Corsair you get more comfortable predicting flight patterns to get on target early. She’s a fat and slow beast but the best multitool in the game imo

Better get some cannons for the bigger ships. I almost find erts too easy in the corsair. You won't meet any annoying fighters eqipped with ballistics anymore plus stuff is dying rather quickly. There is also no need to engage other ships head on.

The Corsair is a very, in your face assault ship. She works best if you put a tick into forward bias on your shields. 40-20-20-20. Lets you face tank long enough that every pass is a kill.

I feel ya on the “can’t find anything new to do” but it is nice to see you back on using my favorite ship. Thinking about getting mine back.

the "Filter" in the nav panel is pretty neat. Unless I want to land at a settlement (as in, "on the ground") I set it to display only Stations, Systems and Signal Sources. Definitely filter out Fleet Carriers ^^

Ships with size 3 shields in this patch are turning around like mad, and if You even take out shield from one side, ship turn around and You dealing with another 25 000 HP, when damaged side can be regenerated.

I upgraded my cutter to Kore long time ago, and it's a good "starter like" ship. You can fit inside STV, flying not bad, is relatively cheap, have this 6 size 2 guns, no problems with HRT's, but now I have Tana, mainly because of interrior. Decent daily driver for a lone mercenary or bounty hunter.

Now I need to save up for this game. But FIRST I need to move.

I still play Elite, VR only and it's still one of the best VR games out there, on foot was disappointing but the ship mechanics and combat are top notch.

Go with full deadbolt loadout. Put full power to shield and you'll easily do 2 to 3 ERTs before you resupply ammo.

Someone told me to consider an upgrade between a new ship at 350 bucks or some good sticks at the same price. The benefit of some awesome flight sticks is the hands down option. Get some good flight sticks to fly with first.

Can't wait for Constellation gold standard rework...will replace my corsair with an Aquila then.

I love my Taurus. The Connie view is one of the best, and has a fantastic HUD layout. I can't wait till she gets brought up to gold standard, and we get weapons racks and such.

For last few patches the NPC ships are so fing RAM happy. CIG needs to fix that

Update: guns are now a little poopy :(, needs a small buff to its firepower

The ship to me looks like a carpenters pencil that you get from Home Depot or Lowe’s with rockets strapped on it

Plus you can have a girlfriend in this ship
