This track was all about Em showing off - every verse he shows that he's mastered a different cadence. People mistake it for just fast rapping, but there's a lot more to it than that.
Right. Not to mention spitting some knowledge bc he has tons of amazing influences that were mentioned...dope. I love how he can bend and twist whatever names he wants (as shown in mtbmb) and make em flow. Incredible.
When he went "Super sonic" he was paying respect to Dr. Dre and the group are produced named J.J. Fad. He incorporated their flow or in this case, he downloaded their flow and cadence.
I really like seeing you go from someone who "doesn't like rap" to getting genuinely excited watching people rap. It's a whole genre and artform that so many people pass up for no reason
Honestly, You have really improved in your ability to pick up on rap lyrics. Especially with someone like Eminem who raps so quickly and has such amazing wordplay and so many doubles and triples. Major props to you for continuing to improve and trying to learn. Really love your channel man! Keep up the great work!
U might not know all the people he’s referencing but u definitely got the concept, he’s downloading and processing all the talent that’s come before and influenced him ⭐️
Yeah I started to feel it until he paused it and the feeling of his reaction vibe left I didn’t feel as amazed to his reaction once he hit that ultimate speed rap
Yeah because people just want him to lose he was first for the longest and by like 100000+ votes until all the Britney Spears, *NSYNC fans etc. started banding together to get him knocked off just cause they soft
@@Semajmk7 yeeaah there is this ridiculous narrative how it would be racist if he would get in it before this or that black rapper are even in. Like it's just progression to even take more rappers in and Em is the most active living legend in rap (most succesfull also and not for no reason) so I think it's actually racist to say he shouldn't be taken before this or that guy because of main argument being HIS SKIN COLOR. How ironic is that.
@@aleksisuuronen5969 He wouldn’t be the first rapper, there are lots of them in already. It’s just hip to hate on Em right now. 🙄 You can vote multiple times by adding +1, +2, etc to your email name.
@@Len_M. yeah well there still was some skincolor argument and articles going on with it which is why I already tuned it out.. and tought it would be first rapper because the skincolor argument would make even some minimal inch of sense then. But without it, it goes on minus side of making any sense. Also yes there is hate but he is so big name that there will always be that fraction. There is still way more support for him than hate what I see all the time. Like 20 people for 1 hater. Also I don't even mind if someone has arguments why they don't like his music, that's fine. I hate when peoplw being outside influences that doesn't make any sense into the convo (have to say that his fans doea do that too a lot and can be obnoxious sometimes). But more tham anything I'm interested when the actual rap indrusty gives their opinion and it's usually the same 1/20, some guy that is wilding out with stupid points. Like Lord Jamar or whoever saying you cannot rap about this and that basically as their point. Also it's that factor of calling him out to get buzz because it actually works for like it did for Snoop. Now Game doing it. But that can be labeled as competition if you don't make remarks like Dre did nothing for me or what Snoop said, but I guess that's just to get attention and shows who really the top dog is.. who they be trying ride with their fame (Snoop got feat out of it just because Em respects the guy so much). Also so many times in this day and age, still after decades easily proven how blacks dominate this indrusty as they always have, some people throw the argument how Em's white so he get's more fans because of it.. but wait why isn't most of the top rappers then white. Makes no sense. So yeah it's ok to not like his music but I don't like the over and over went arguments like The Foolish Pride Girl and stuff like that.
Finally! A guy old enough to know Max Headroom! My hair is going gray and I am still cool as hell! 62 years young, have M.S., but rock in my wheelchair!😇😁
Hey Larry! Please don't fret over not picking apart every lyric, or hell, not always being able to keep up with them! It can be really tough, even for people familiar with the genre. Eminem also doesn't make it easy here. There will always be some people not satisfied. EDIT: YES, I am very much here to see "this guy" flip his lid over "that guy." and as of Googling now, Em isn't currently in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame... yet! He seems to be nominated for it this year. Fingers crossed this is his time 🤞 EDIT2: yeah, that's pretty much how we all felt the first time we heard that fast verse...
Yes, first year he can be inducted. Minimum 25 years since artist debuted. And I'm certain he also will be inducted. So looking forward to what he will come up with for a rnrhaof performance 😮
I'm also here to see "this guy" react to "that guy," which is a first for me and my subscriptions. I just love watching Larry discover Em's brilliance!
Im 40 so I grew up with Em, it's great to see you appreciate what he does. He gets a lot of love but equal amount of hate. Jealousy is ugly, just appreciate what he can do..
I think my favorite line is still the one in the first verse, "for me to rap like a computer must be in my genes(jeans), I got a laptop in my back pocket" Haha and I totally get what you mean when you were talking about like hanging on for dear life trying to follow those lyrics. This is why Eminem has such good replay value. You catch something new each time you listen. Great reaction btw, you had me cracking up every time you started cracking up lol
And Eminem is now in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame! BTW, the trip down memory lane at the pong segment really struck me. I'm 46 and I remember having to connect to the TV that way to play Asteroids on the Atari 2600 (we actually had a Coleco Vision first). I still play games and it is insane how far we have come in my lifetime.
10:23 Thank you for reminding me of casting my daily vote for Eminem's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!! He's in second place right now, losing by quite a lot, and he deserves the win. Go vote, everyone!
he's not losing cos doesn't deserve it but because there's people like T Swift and other celebs telling there fans to go out and vote for Duran Duran not cos there the better act but cos they was the closest to em at the time witch is a disrespect to Duran Duran like "if" you go in it's not cos you earned it but cos the haters don't WANT EM AROUND ANYMORE this is the only way they could stop him the hole thing is bullshit and he really is winning was smashing the leader board but haters trying to discredit Marshall
@@kim5071Acab the voting has been over for a while now. Eminem lost the fan vote, but he’s still getting inducted. The ceremony will take place on November 5th
I will never get tired of watching people react to this song. But I always say, the most overlooked line is the one about his lyrics being "tongue in cheek". Because so many people take a lot of his lyrics too literally. He's often accused of being homophobic, but those same people ignore the fact that he's super close to Elton John, who actually helped him get clean. You should watch their live performance of Stan at the Grammys. It's considered one of the most epic live performances in Grammy history. Also the interview Elton John did on the Graham Norton Show regarding Eminem.
Let's not forgot to mention his countless times dressing in "drag" characters for videos and FEATURING one (Derrick Barry sp?) if not multiple 2slgbtqia+ peeps! Putting on a persona or character is key to entertainment! Even Elvira is gay! Let's wake up. He doesn't hate em. He WAS a minority in his world. BRING BACK SATIRE!(x3)
NO COMMENT ON THE HOMOPHOBIA ACCUSATIONS- but seperate note about Elton John defending the worst people imaginable sometimes. He's got a trqck record of doing so. So if you don't think Em is homophobic, there's lots of other egs out there than a man known to defend some of the worst of the worst because they happen to be in the industry. Also not a comment on Elton, I like him too, my comment is purely just commenting on that line of logic 😊
I watched your first reaction to Em and Ive watched nearly, if not all of your reactions to him since. I've loved watching you discover what Em is all about and watching your shift from preconceived biases to understand, acceptance and even appreciation of his genius.
Hey, I just found your channel literally about 30 minutes ago and this is the second Eminem reaction video of yours that I’ve watched. I’m a 20 year old Eminem super fan and I love what ur doing. Watching you get genuinely excited as you discover new music and find a new appreciation for a new artist and new genre is so wonderful. I just subscribed to your channel and I’m here to stay. Please keep doing what you’re doing. People stepping outside their music comfort zones is the best. I also want to say that it’s been 8 months since you said ‘Em should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and he was actually just inducted about a week ago. Please don’t ever lose your enthusiasm or get discouraged or embarrassed by the fact that you miss references and stuff that Em makes. No exaggeration, I’ve listened to every song he’s every released multiple times and I still sometimes catch new things I’d never noticed. Please keep it up
Em in the chair is like you said, in the Matrix. But its really a reference to him being the one, inspired by predecessors, but now the architect (end of 2nd movie) all knowing, omnipotent.
this guy is so smart , genuine and i love all his reaction to Em . he knows how to explain whats going on , not like other reaction . im going to sub now
You’re doing just fine with the bars. I am convinced he writes in a way that we aren’t supposed to catch it all at once. Can you imagine putting this much work in to a song just to have some kid online act like he caught every single thing on the first pass? He works too hard for things to be easy to catch. Lazy listeners need not apply.
I remember watching this group of friends react to a song and one of them was clearly not an Em fan and had the AUDACITY (stupidity) to say that he 'dOeSn'T wAnT tO hAvE tO DiSeCt wHaT hE's LiStEnInG tO' to enjoy a song and I was flabbergasted. Like... hope you enjoy the rest of your surface level life you simple minded fool
That's why Knox hill's breakdown of rap god is an hour and a half long. That's how long it takes to catch almost everything and break down every line. It's crazy how much em puts in his songs
Man I fucking love this man. His reactions are so fucking genuine, so unscripted, so real. And he’s quickly picking up lyrics too. Love to see this. And I love this even more because that is EXACTLY how I reacted when I heard his supersonic verse for the first time. Godly, unreal and worthy of only admiration couple with jaw dropping awe.
Another great genuine reaction. He actually set the world record for most words rapped in the super fast part when mentioning the jj fab situation. Then he broke it in Godzilla
You got it half right, the record was actually for the most words in a hit single song totaling 1,560 words in 6 min 3 secs (still is the world record) & no the fast verse in godzilla didn't break any records unfortunately.
Not really sure how I got to this channel but glad I did. Genuinely happy to see another human having a good time with some good music keep up the videos
The supersonic speed is a reference to a song by J J Fad called “supersonic” where at the end there is a section of fast rapping - the group can be seen on the TVs.
@19:00, he is referencing a time when the FCC censored a line in the explicit version of "I'm Back" from his "The Marshall Mathers LP" which he released in 2000. He makes numerous references to this in other songs, namely in "Without Me" on "The Eminem Show", released in 2003. Although, "Without me" was specifically referring to "the Real Slim Shady" song where he makes many sexual innuendos and causes him to be fined by the FCC. Eminem's music is so important to me because our histories are similiar. My mom was never on drugs but she was emotionally abusive and was willing to leave me behind to live the life she wanted. I've only met my dad a handful of times and wish I hadn't. I love Em and rap because the music its real and isn't afraid to adddress things like that. I rap myself but im obviously no where near his level
OK, I absolutely LOVE your reactions on this one. I've been an Eminem fan for ages, and you are helping me discover even more depth when you pause and focus on specific lines. Please don't apologize for the pauses!
I 2nd Beautiful Pain. Both songs are Marshall being serious like nearly all the songs you've reacted to so far, so they are in your wheelhouse. Walk On Water ft. Beyonce would be another one that would fit, but it might be best to wait on that for later, as he references a lot of the road he's traveled, and you are still very new
I personally love the pauses ! ESP when listening to someone as lyric heavy as Eminem. If you're not paying attention, so much of his genius goes over your head. Pretty much nothing he says ever only has one meaning. King of double entendres and intentional writing 👑 it actually bothers me more when ppl don't pause to appreciate/disect/listen to again bc they're missing so much !!! So PAUSE ON my friend🤘🏻 it only adds to your reactions 💕
What bothers me the most, what pisses me off more than anything, is when people don't know how to spell. Thankfully, you were exposed when you used / and it stopped your spellcheck from working, showing the world that you don't know how to spell dissect. Sorry, just had to jump in before someone who thrives on spelling or grammar did. Seriously, good comment and 100% agree. I agreed so much that I gave your comment a thumbs up. You might think I was just trolling again, because you were at 69. I fought strongly against the urge to ruin that thumbs up total, but I ultimately felt that your comment needed more appreciation and just had to push it to 70, in hopes that one day it will reach the milestone of 6969.
I usually don't like watching reaction videos that much. I only have few that i really enjoy and you became one of them in seconds. It's so nice seeing you react to some of my favorite pieces of art made on earth by this genius human being. You are extremely kind, chill, warm and just pleasant man to watch. It's easy to see, how nice of a person you are. All the respect buddy
The one thing about Eminem is he's humble and he always shouts out the people who came before him the people who inspired him he will always shout out he's one of the most humble rappers you will ever meet
10:33 he’s actually nominated to be inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame! Everyone should vote! You can vote once a day. He started out as number 1 for the first month or so but now he’s in second place. P.S.- don’t worry about apologizing for not catching something. It’s just nice to watch you enjoy and grow your knowledge. It’s like the equivalent to watching a child grow. They learn about something but as time goes on they learn more and more and are able to pick up on things and make connections.
that HOF thing is funny tho, the internet coming together to keep duran duran above eminem in the votes. i'm not voting because i can't choose between my stanhood and my love of unforeseen chaos :D

@@larryshair your right, he went “supersonic” which was a song by a girl group called JJ FAD in the 80s and they had a song called supersonic which is the style he was paying homage too.
I’ve watched a lot of reactions to this song, and I’ve never once heard someone who caught the Max Headroom thing! I’ve waited, but no one did until you finally did! So while you may be new to rap, everyone was once, and your years of life experience are great for helping you understand it all! Lewinski, The Matrix, so many in there for us! (We’re probably similar in age, so I catch that stuff too, but I’d bet there’s other really new stuff that goes waaaaaay over our head! Haha!)
I almost commented about this too! Ive never seen anyone else pick up on the Max headroom reference (heck i was surprised to see even Em knows about Max Headroom!) For me growing up in the 80s some of it all blurs together in the memories but the highlights are filled with references to max headroom, "wheres the beef" Reagan nearly getting killed, Spud McKenzie, nearly weekly news reports of some airliner in lockdown on a runway thats been taken over by terrorists and the challenger shuttle blowing up on live TV after we all waited eagerly for months to see Krista fly to space RIP
So I just found your channel today and I've watched about a dozen videos of your Eminem reactions and your progression from hearing him for the first time to be coming in a true fan and I love it you made my day.
Wow, thanks so much! Don't pass up the Aurora reactions! You'll fall in love with her music as I did with Em. Start with Murder 5,4,3,2,1 and let me know what you think! Thanks again!
Yea, Eminem will mess your head up. All of a sudden I'm looking for double and triple entendres in everything I watch or listen to now. Also, if you wanna deep dive into Eminem, theres no better place to start than the beginning. 'Infinite'!
"I bully myself, cuz I make me do what I put my mind to when I'm a million leagues above me" This is a powerful line, because it's the opposite of what other people do, when they reach a certain level of accomplishment, or success, they think they got it all and then they become complacent and stop going because they "believe" they got it all, and then they eventually lose something more valuable. Eminem basically came from nothing and look where he is now because of hard work and Perseverance, and even after success he's still going.
A lot of the references he's making about other rappers were the people he listened to who inspired him; people he studied to become the Rap God he is today. Thus, the visual references to the Matrix downloading knowledge a la "I know kung fu." This song is an instruction manual for those few with the talent to follow in his footsteps. Edit: Don't worry about picking up on all the lyrics and the doubles, triples, and even quads throughout. It's 1,560 word crammed into 6 minutes (4.28 words per second) and has held the Guinness record for most words in a hit single since 25 October 2013. Love your reaction when he hit supersonic speed btw. :)

Awww, u mentioned me! Great reaction as always ❤️. Love that u did this one Chris and believe me, I’ve heard this 500 times and I can’t sing it - it’s like a foreign language that u understand but can’t get ur mouth to say the words 😛
I must say, I absolutely love what you are doing here. You put off that vibe of the cool uncle who sits with the kids at Thanksgiving, because you’re genuinely interested in their world, and what they have going on. Keep doing what you’re doing man
Love your reactions. They’re honest. I’ve heard this song several times but when you paused. I listened again. “Pay homage pupil it’s me my honesty brutal but honestly futile if I don’t utilize what I do though for good at least once in a while. So I wanna make sure somewhere in the chicken scratch I Scribble and doodle enough rhymes to maybe help people get through tough times.” Made me respect him again. And motivation “I’m a bully because I make me do whatever I put my mind to” Just Gold
Yep as a massive Em fan it even took me a few listens of this one to get everything that was being said 😅🤣 its one of those songs that gets you proper hyped
This is my new favorite reaction channel without a doubt. Trust me man no one will be peeved if you don't catch all the bars. I've been listening to eminem for 15 years or so and I'm still catching some stuff from his first few albums I've been missing for years. The more you listen the more you catch, and that's when you'll really understand this man's genius. Great work 👏🏼
I'm so enjoying watching you discover and revel in the genius. It's so cool. Love it! It's super rare for someone of your (actually our) generation. And there is so much to love and value in it. Kudos to you.
The unbridled joy on your face in this and ems other songs you done is just.. wow, I love it. So genuine dude, you're amazing! Keep on doing what you're doing, it's really working well!
I'm not gonna lie, I've grown up listening to Em. I haven't understood many of the lyrics in these videos until I've gotten older and understood some of the references. Honestly you've actually helped me understand some of the Godly references. Keep up the reactions!
Haha first time I have seen you take a step back and take off your headphones... I love your reactions Chris, you are truly authentic and I love how you can break down most of what he is saying... Watching your reactions is priceless
You had me Laughing Out Loud here. Your eye roll as the “Mom Deep……..”. I knew it was coming and your eye roll was perfect. Then the moment when you took your headphones off. This was so Fun!! Update us once you have heard it 100times💛👍🏼🤣
Still lovin the Eminem reactions! This is one of the densest lyrical songs of all time. Nobody picked up everything on their first listen, but you caught a lot of the heart of the song! Keep up the great content!
You are my favorite reactor youtuber if I can said in this way......great reaction!!! You taste a little bit of Slim Shady....! The way I am!! Greetings from Uruguay! It was me!! I mentioned it that we need more votes for the hall of fame....! And in this moment Duran Duran ( who i real respect them) take advantage from Eminem......but he is in second place right now....Sorry for my English.....In my country we speak Spanish.....
Congratulations on getting through a song that made it into the Guinness book of world records for having the most words in a single song Also Eminem is actually being voted on to get inducted into the Rock and roll Hall of Fame as we speak if you want to go vote for him to help put him in there!
I have heard this song probably 100s of times and i just caught that when he says "when u combine up here with the skin color of mine" hes not just saying he was held back by race but also speaking on how he got so much bigger than all the other rappers because of his race, another new em double for me
And in turn it also got him in more hot water because it put a bigger spotlight on him too (hence the lines that follow about getting censored on the Columbine references). So being a white rapper got him cut down in the black community in a lot of ways (especially early on but there are still people in the black community that look at him a token white guy), boosted him up in the white community and also put everything he said under a microscope. Other rappers were saying things that were just as controversial, but his lyrics got banned and got him kicked off radio channels and MTV. He was kicked around a lot for just who he is. Luckily he had the backing of Dre and that gave him a lot of cred.
Who cares if people hate the pausing! I love it! I’m so happy I came across your page. Watching your reactions brings me back to my childhood when I first snuck my dad’s Eminem CD from his collection and brought it on a field trip. I think I was in 5th or 6th grade, had my little Sony Walkman and Christina Aguilera CD/Walkman case. Life was good!
No one on 🌎 could pick up every double in this song on their 1st listen. I doubt most Em fans could even recognize all of the complicated lyrics after just ONE listen. Don't feel bad!
Eminem ALWAYS references rappers that came before him and paved the way and who may have inspired hin. In this song, here are the references he made: "You are just what the doc ordered" - Dr. Dre "Packing a MAC in the back of the Ac" - McKinley Phipps, Jr., better known simply as Mac or stage name Lil Mac (rapper in the 90s) "I was signed to Aftermath after the fact" - record label Dr. Dre owns that Eminem BLEW UP and is the main artist, who then brought in 50 Cent How could I not blow? All I do is drop "F" bombs "'Cause I use it as a vehicle to 'bust a rhyme'" - Busta Rhymes "Me? I'm a product of Rakim Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac, N.W.A., Cube, hey, Doc, Ren" - William Michael Griffin Jr. Aka Rakim/half of hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim, 2Pac/Tupac Shakur, N.W.A. (Niggaz With Attitude, members included: Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, The D.O.C, Arabian Prince, DJ Speed) "Yella, Eazy, thank you, they got Slim" - more he helped blow up and friends in the rap industry: Yellawolf & G-Eazy "Blow up and be in a position To meet Run-D.M.C. and induct them Into the motherfuckin' Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame" - Run D.M.C. (Joseph Simmons, Jam Master Jay, Darryl McDaniels, DJ Jam Master J'Son) 'The way I'm racing around the track, call me NASCAR, NASCAR Dale Earnhardt of the trailer park" - Not rap, bit the legendary Dale Earnhardt, king of racing "Kneel before General Zod this planet's Krypton, no Asgard, Asgard So you'll be Thor and I'll be Odin You're rodent, I'm omnipotent Let off then I'm reloading" - same thing, he's THE God "What I do though for good At least once in a while so I wanna make sure Somewhere in this chicken scratch I scribble and doodle Enough rhymes to Maybe try to help get some people through tough times" - unrelated, but I just LOVE this quote because he ALWAYS says this, ALWAYS. How he writes for his fans, for the underdogs, not for the industry or money or bs. He keeps it real for us, who needs him, to feel inspired and heard and related to. "Like when Fabolous made Ray J mad 'Cause Fab said he looked like a fag At Mayweather's pad singin' to a man While he played piano Man, oh man, that was a 24/7 special On the cable channel" - this was funny. Just two idiot so-called "rappers" who needed to insert ridiculous drama to keep themselves relevant because their music didn't speak for itself, and how people on E! and radio talked about it as legit "beef" when they had NO IDEA what real beef was. "Bumping Heavy D and the Boyz Still "Chunky, but Funky"" - Rapper Heavy D and his song released in 1987 - Ok hope that helps!
@@larryshair I’m late to this, but the line directly after his Busta Rhymes shout out is part of it too! “I use it as a vehicle to bus’ the rhyme, now I lead a new school full of students” Busta Rhymes was part of a group called Leaders Of The New School
His quote "to help get some people through tough times" is actually on spot. Around 10 years ago i had depression and i had a feeling i dont want to live in this world anymore but listening his music kept me from committing suicide.

Now I’m binge watching ur Em reactions and enjoying ur brain being melted and blown away trying to catch all his bars. Welcome to his world.
Larry, this is the best reaction ever on Rap God, i have watched this so many times :), its great to see you taking time and try to understand what Em is rapping about, its hard to catch so much the first time. Dont get me wrong when i say " try to" because i dont mean it as a bad thing, i grew up listening to Em and im trying to understand most of his lyrics :), its like you need to study every line he says because even if it sounds "Normal" it usually has a deeper meaning :). Thank you for all the content (reactions), i really enjoy watching you.

You can vote multiple times by adding +1, +2, etc to your email name.
@@Len_M. yeah well there still was some skincolor argument and articles going on with it which is why I already tuned it out.. and tought it would be first rapper because the skincolor argument would make even some minimal inch of sense then.
We need to Vote him in!!! Let’s make April Shady’s comeback month!! Calling on the entire world let’s get Shady the W
When you said in the beginning “slow down” I was chuckling 🤭 like this is only the beginning 😂😂😂you have to see what will happen in a few minutes haha
EDIT: YES, I am very much here to see "this guy" flip his lid over "that guy."
and as of Googling now, Em isn't currently in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame... yet! He seems to be nominated for it this year. Fingers crossed this is his time 🤞
EDIT2: yeah, that's pretty much how we all felt the first time we heard that fast verse...
I believe this is the first year that Eminem is Eligible to be inducted.
Yes, first year he can be inducted. Minimum 25 years since artist debuted. And I'm certain he also will be inducted. So looking forward to what he will come up with for a rnrhaof performance 😮
Couldn't have said that better myself
This is why his music never gets old. A decade later, 100 listens and you STILL find something new.
Thanks for the reminder! I have just posted a comment asking everyone to vote for him. I hope all take a moment to cast that vote!
I didn't even know it was a thing before this. Had to go vote myself.
he's not losing cos doesn't deserve it but because there's people like T Swift and other celebs telling there fans to go out and vote for Duran Duran not cos there the better act but cos they was the closest to em at the time witch is a disrespect to
Duran Duran like "if" you go in it's not cos you earned it but cos the haters don't WANT EM AROUND ANYMORE this is the only way they could stop him the hole thing is bullshit and he really is winning was smashing the leader board but haters trying to discredit Marshall
Where can i vote? Love your reactions on Em. Love from Bergen, Norway
Please keep it up
Thanks so much for your kind words! Welcome on board the Rabbit Hole!
I DIED when you got to the super fast part I knew you’d be speechless !
Em in the chair is like you said, in the Matrix. But its really a reference to him being the one, inspired by predecessors, but now the architect (end of 2nd movie) all knowing, omnipotent.
this guy is so smart , genuine and i love all his reaction to Em . he knows how to explain whats going on , not like other reaction . im going to sub now
Wow, thanks so much!
YESSSSS TO ALL OF THIS 🙌🏼🔥
Lazy listeners need not apply 😂
I remember watching this group of friends react to a song and one of them was clearly not an Em fan and had the AUDACITY (stupidity) to say that he 'dOeSn'T wAnT tO hAvE tO DiSeCt wHaT hE's LiStEnInG tO' to enjoy a song and I was flabbergasted. Like... hope you enjoy the rest of your surface level life you simple minded fool

Took me a good month and a half to learn this word by word and even then tryna rap it at the same time it's hard to match it to how he done it 🤣🤣
That's why Knox hill's breakdown of rap god is an hour and a half long. That's how long it takes to catch almost everything and break down every line. It's crazy how much em puts in his songs
Eminem is one of my generations best poets. AND music stars. Watching you travel into his universe is pure joy!
Marshall, thank you so much for those kind words! That was so unnecessary but so kind of you to say.
Your reactions are so heart warming; they literally make my day whenever i watch them!
Thanks Sophie!
I just looked it up and Eminem is scheduled to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this fall
@@dangerx69 my bad. Thought I read he had gotten a record for the Supersonic part & then broke it on the Godzilla partm
@@dangerx69 it broke the most syllables spit in a certain amount of time, 30 seconds or so lol
Not really sure how I got to this channel but glad I did. Genuinely happy to see another human having a good time with some good music keep up the videos
Thanks and welcome, Angel!

I hope somewhere deep down he knows hes done a lot for a lot of people "getting some people through tough times" is a massive understatement
Proof that he won’t burst into a ball a flame if he walked into a church is in Bestfriend by Yelawolf ft Eminem. You’d love that one I think.
I hope you are doing good now man. Eminem's music really resonates so much when life is at its hardest.
"25 to life" is a really good and underrated song from eminem.
OK, I absolutely LOVE your reactions on this one. I've been an Eminem fan for ages, and you are helping me discover even more depth when you pause and focus on specific lines. Please don't apologize for the pauses!
Guts over fear and Beautiful Pain are two great songs by Eminem that are about perseverance and are not difficult to follow. Much Respect
Guts Over Fear, easily one of my favorites from him
I 2nd Beautiful Pain. Both songs are Marshall being serious like nearly all the songs you've reacted to so far, so they are in your wheelhouse. Walk On Water ft. Beyonce would be another one that would fit, but it might be best to wait on that for later, as he references a lot of the road he's traveled, and you are still very new
Love both of these songs, great choice for larry to react to as well!
He defo needs to do them
I personally love the pauses !
I agree! I don’t want to watch a reaction without pauses! I’ve already heard the song I’m listening to reaction videos for the reaction not the song

I genuinely love your reactions to these videos. You always look like a kid at Christmas when you start the video 😂
so endearing 🥰
Yes!!! That’s the perfect description
Wow, thanks so much!

What a great vid man, loved every second of this. You will hear "new" things everytime you listen to this. And pretty much all Em songs.
lol, thanks AK! Good to see you again!
Haha!)
Your RUclips channel image is cute doggy
I almost commented about this too! Ive never seen anyone else pick up on the Max headroom reference (heck i was surprised to see even Em knows about Max Headroom!)
For me growing up in the 80s some of it all blurs together in the memories but the highlights are filled with references to max headroom, "wheres the beef" Reagan nearly getting killed, Spud McKenzie, nearly weekly news reports of some airliner in lockdown on a runway thats been taken over by terrorists and the challenger shuttle blowing up on live TV after we all waited eagerly for months to see Krista fly to space RIP
Ahahaha! The slow and dainty removal of the headphones combined with the sliding away in the chair made me laugh really hard 😂
Worth every second! By FAR one of my favorite reactions! Thank you for this!!
Dude I cannot get over how wholesome and genuine all of your reactions are 😂😂
Wow, thanks Burch!
This song is a lyrical masterpiece. I have heard it hundreds of times and still find new doubles/triples/references
Me too..Still gives me GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME..
Yea, Eminem will mess your head up. All of a sudden I'm looking for double and triple entendres in everything I watch or listen to now.
Also, if you wanna deep dive into Eminem, theres no better place to start than the beginning. 'Infinite'!
"I bully myself, cuz I make me do what I put my mind to when I'm a million leagues above me"
This is a powerful line, because it's the opposite of what other people do, when they reach a certain level of accomplishment, or success, they think they got it all and then they become complacent and stop going because they "believe" they got it all, and then they eventually lose something more valuable. Eminem basically came from nothing and look where he is now because of hard work and Perseverance, and even after success he's still going.
Interesting, Genius says the lyrics are "Above You" but above me defiantly sounds like the deeper way to look at it
Well said 👏 👌 👍 🙌
@@NomaticX he does say above you. He's talking that shit here. He says a million leagues above you, still tongue and cheek f#$% you
Larry man, Em has released 10 albums over the past 23 years. There is so much magnificence awaiting you. All 10 of them debuted at #1 on the charts.
If u count the albums like reup cutain call 8 mile soundtrack shady xv and slim shape ep he has alot more then 10 albums lol
A lot of the references he's making about other rappers were the people he listened to who inspired him; people he studied to become the Rap God he is today. Thus, the visual references to the Matrix downloading knowledge a la "I know kung fu."
This song is an instruction manual for those few with the talent to follow in his footsteps.

Eminem was inducted into the R & R Hall of Fame this year.
Yep! That's incredible and well-deserved!

Love your reactions. They’re honest. I’ve heard this song several times but when you paused. I listened again. “Pay homage pupil it’s me my honesty brutal but honestly futile if I don’t utilize what I do though for good at least once in a while. This is my new favorite reaction channel without a doubt. Trust me man no one will be peeved if you don't catch all the bars. I've been listening to eminem for 15 years or so and I'm still catching some stuff from his first few albums I've been missing for years. I have heard this song probably 100s of times and i just caught that when he says "when u combine up here with the skin color of mine" hes not just saying he was held back by race but also speaking on how he got so much bigger than all the other rappers because of his race, another new em double for me
Nice catch!
This is by far the best Rap God reaction ive ever seen... and ive watched a lot!!👏👏👏🥰🥰🥰

Eminem ALWAYS references rappers that came before him and paved the way and who may have inspired hin. In this song, here are the references he made:
"You are just what the doc ordered" - Dr. Dre
"Packing a MAC in the back of the Ac" - McKinley Phipps, Jr., better known simply as Mac or stage name Lil Mac (rapper in the 90s)
"I was signed to Aftermath after the fact" - record label Dr. Dre owns that Eminem BLEW UP and is the main artist, who then brought in 50 Cent
How could I not blow? All I do is drop "F" bombs
"'Cause I use it as a vehicle to 'bust a rhyme'" - Busta Rhymes
"Me? I'm a product of Rakim
Lakim Shabazz, 2Pac, N.W.A., Cube, hey, Doc, Ren"
- William Michael Griffin Jr. Aka Rakim/half of hip hop duo Eric B. & Rakim,
2Pac/Tupac Shakur,
N.W.A. (Niggaz With Attitude, members included: Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, MC Ren, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, The D.O.C, Arabian Prince, DJ Speed)
"Yella, Eazy, thank you, they got Slim" - more he helped blow up and friends in the rap industry: Yellawolf & G-Eazy
"Blow up and be in a position
To meet Run-D.M.C. and induct them
Into the motherfuckin' Rock n'
Roll Hall of Fame" - Run D.M.C. (Joseph Simmons, Jam Master Jay, Darryl McDaniels, DJ Jam Master J'Son)
'The way I'm racing around the track, call me NASCAR, NASCAR
Dale Earnhardt of the trailer park" - Not rap, bit the legendary Dale Earnhardt, king of racing
"Kneel before General Zod this planet's Krypton, no Asgard, Asgard
So you'll be Thor and I'll be Odin
You're rodent, I'm omnipotent
Let off then I'm reloading" - same thing, he's THE God
"What I do though for good
At least once in a while so I wanna make sure
Somewhere in this chicken scratch I scribble and doodle
Enough rhymes to
Maybe try to help get some people through tough times" - unrelated, but I just LOVE this quote because he ALWAYS says this, ALWAYS. How he writes for his fans, for the underdogs, not for the industry or money or bs. He keeps it real for us, who needs him, to feel inspired and heard and related to.
"Like when Fabolous made Ray J mad
'Cause Fab said he looked like a fag
At Mayweather's pad singin' to a man
While he played piano
Man, oh man, that was a 24/7 special
On the cable channel" - this was funny. Just two idiot so-called "rappers" who needed to insert ridiculous drama to keep themselves relevant because their music didn't speak for itself, and how people on E! and radio talked about it as legit "beef" when they had NO IDEA what real beef was.
"Bumping Heavy D and the Boyz
Still "Chunky, but Funky"" - Rapper Heavy D and his song released in 1987
-
Ok hope that helps!
Thanks so much for this!
@@larryshair I’m late to this, but the line directly after his Busta Rhymes shout out is part of it too! “I use it as a vehicle to bus’ the rhyme, now I lead a new school full of students” Busta Rhymes was part of a group called Leaders Of The New School
Pleasantly surprised at this one! Another great reaction. Keep it up!
Funny that you said woah Nelly at the end. Thats how one of ems freestyles began. Check it out sometime
His quote "to help get some people through tough times" is actually on spot. Around 10 years ago i had depression and i had a feeling i dont want to live in this world anymore but listening his music kept me from committing suicide.
Grateful you're still with us.... I've been there....
Glad you’re still here
Love your reaction. So genuine. Eminem is so talented and he is king of rap
I'm no idea what you may be doing now.. hope you're well whatever you're doing. I really connected to your reaction here I am in my 60s and I've had nothing at all to do with the rap scene or anything like that my entire life
Three reactors I have been introduced to people who cross genres and liking some of them has had my ears become more attuned it's only been in this last month did I have been able to go ahead and listen to Eminem just to see what it was about. Long story short I am now in love... Insult all the things that you were saying through this now myself have to learn all the things in references but I have something to hang it on and make it meaningful.pause away guy
That's great! I resisted this genre for a very long time but as you pick apart what he writes about, it's all very motivational in a huge way.
I’m 54 years old and loveee Em!! Always have and still a big fan!!
I’m very glad I ran across your reaction videos of Em. The first reaction I watched of yours was his “When I’m Gone” song and your raw and real emotions were refreshing. Now I’m binge watching ur Em reactions and enjoying ur brain being melted and blown away trying to catch all his bars. Welcome to his world.
Watching 20 minutes for that single moment of a reaction was absolutely worth it! #supersonic #headphonedrop
lol!
you are literaly the best reaction chanell on youtube. always so insightful, intelligent and so funny! appreciate you so much!!! keep the good work 💪💪
Thanks so much SZ!!
Thanks so much!
This is my 3rd night listening to you I'm so happy you are around.
Eminem is just showcasing his skills and running circles around the game and all the rappers.
