You need to discuss menopause when you’re over 40-45!! This is when your metabolism and hormones hits the bottom of the floor in hell!! That definitely affects your weight loss goals
This was by far the most helpful video ever 🤯 simple yet so true, especially having a meal timing will help me to get unstuck in my unhealthy stressful snacking
I know it sucks, but you did pretty good considering it took you 3 years. You can lose it. It just might take you a little longer. I’m speaking from experience as a 54 year old post menopausal woman. Lol, if I can do it anyone can.😂
I am 47, and weigh 140 in the mornings, which is 12 lb more than I was in my late 30s. And my midsection has been slowly expanding. When I was in my late 30s, I really dreaded turning 40, however, at some point during COVID times I have come to peace with how my body works, and I am much more comfortable in my body now than I had been when I was younger and much better looking. I am not dreading going to my 50, and am doing what is reasonable to feel content and be comfortable. I stopped avoiding foods that I crave once in a while, and I make an effort to fit a workout into my busy schedule with full time desk job and kids in middle school. Hormonal changes - well, this is life, and its going faster and faster as we age :)
That's my target weight. I'm 5' 5" with a big frame. When I taught aerobics I wore UK 10 now in my 60s I'm UK 14-16, been vegetarian since my teens, I fast and still do yoga and Pilates. I need a miracle!
@@truthseeker7211 - completely agree. I have no problem with my weight :) As we get older we go through a natural process. We do our best that needs to align and be appropriate for our sage in life. Life is short :)
This is brilliant, thank you. It's like all the best advice and information I've ever heard all pulled together in one place. I'm an "all or nothing" kinda woman (to the extreme - I was an addict, who is now 10 years sober). The mind is everything, but IMO not in the way a lot of people think with an over-reliance on "will power". Instead I've found it's best to focus on consistency and routine. Small consistent changes I will stick at, without getting overwhelmed or triggering my "f*** it" switch! This includes things like adding more protein and good fats to my meals to make sure I'm satiated, exercising differently but for less time. The biggest thing for me, like a lot of addicts (and perhaps people in general), is that I'm really headstrong and stubborn and it's just opening my mind to folk who know better than I do! A Program like this is perfect for me, as it takes away the over-thinking and stubbornness that is often my downfall. I can give that job to someone else! Thank you.
Thank you @Passing4Human - I appreciate your comment, and wish you the best of luck with everything. I really love your approach of letting go and letting someone else do the over-thinking for you. I know this will help you to stay on track.
I have gained nearly 70 pounds over the course of 5 years.. I have struggled with my weight my whole life, but this is by far the worst shape I have ever been in. Chronic pain really plays a part in the weight fluctuations... I feel hopeless. Even counting calories and trying to not eat junk and I'm still stuck.. size 6 in 2018, size 14 now.😢
Hang in there, chronic pain sounds terrible. Size 14 is not the end of the world. Sometimes best place to start is by letting go of something that is already gone, and accepting yourself at the place that you are now. This way you are starting from ground zero instead of being in the negative, which is self punishing. Sometimes its an effort just to keep weight from gaining, and it's important to acknowledge the small victories. xoxoxo
Yeah.. my mindset is definitely jacked up at times.. 😆 I work a stressful job and when I come home I REALLY don’t feel like exercising. Plus during the day my meal times can vary.. everyday struggle😩
I have gained about 8 kilos and I'm in my mid 40's. Everything that worked in the past isn't working anymore. My issue is mainly the fact that I cook all the time. Kinda of being the chef of my young family and working from home isn't that helpful either. So, I am quite exposed to different dishes that I can't resist. I'm worried that following a program will not help me that much because I will end up not keeping to it. But I am desperate to make changes but I don't know how. Clearly, I'm trapped in my own skin. Not looking for pity but motivation

Am 41,lost a total of 12kgs in the last 3years.am also quite the cook ,there's always new recipes and yes temptations to even stick to a "healthy" diet. But the one thing that continues to work for me is always keeping the potions small plus a little physically activity,I walk or do 30 minute RUclips aerobics 3 times a week but not always.I have managed to attain my goal weight of 65 kgs despite always having very high cortisol levels.I just eat smaller portions and have never eliminated a food group or even stuck to fasting,I even started consuming chess during this period.Being consistent with smaller low carb meals and some physical activity daily has helped me keep the weight off.I now intend to go to the gym for the first time in my life to work on tonning and muscle mass.

Where have you’ve been all my life. I’m 44 yo I’ve tired every diet from keto to IF. I’ve lost 7 lbs and can’t lose anymore weight. I’m afraid of doing a diet other than keto since I’ve lost weight on that diet. I’m actually afraid of carbs. I do work nights.

I get so confused with the 5-6 small meals vs fewer meals. I follow a woman who at 63 started weight training and eating 5-6 small, nutrient dense meals and now at 66 competes in bikini fitness shows. The first year she mostly lost fat but didn't build much muscle until she hired a trainer. She now follows a macro meal plan and has never been so fit (weight trains 4-5 days/week). She (like me) is postmenopausal and not on HRT. She also had her thyroid removed for medical reason and bi-pass surgery. I'm almost 60 myself and gained when my hormones changed. I'm not a breakfast person (just water and coffee with almond/coconut milk usually) but once in ahile love a good pancake or breakfast meal). So the theories seem to conflict. Some trainers say small nutritional meals keep your blood sugar from spiking and give steady energy and others say like Dr. Anthony that fewer bigger meals are better. I guess whatever works for one person may not be the answer for another.
Hey S3N1, thanks for writing in and great points! And you pretty much nailed it as there is no one right way to lose weight. The argument for smaller meals more often used to revolve around an increase in metabolism. And while that is true, it is a tiny amount and the juice may not be worth the squeeze. The fewer meals helps keep our body from constantly pumping out insulin, keeping blood sugar levels lower, making it easier to burn fat while avoiding diabetes. Check around our RUclips channel as we have loads of videos to help you create a sustainable schedule for you and your goals! -The FMP Team
Thank you so much for this wonderful video! I've been struggling with some weight gain mostly water weight but I had weight loss struggle before that. Back in 2019, I lost 30 lb in about 5 months and I'm struggling to remember what exactly I ate LOL but it's true, I did not do much exercise to achieve that goal I just ate low carb lean meats, and a lot of spinach which I love. I think that one thing I'm missing is trying to get the full feeling and so I'm going to look into some of those healthy fats although I do eat a lot of nuts. Thank you again so much!
I am doing everything as per your recommendations but not loosing any weight for almost two month. I am 48 and 153 pounds. Weight training every other day and 1300 calories per day, writing everything down. Please help.
Just stick with it. That happened to me on my last weight loss journey, but then I started losing weight and it all came off. It’s frustrating but if you don’t give up it will be worth it.
Do you have any advice for menopausal women with a low thyroid? I am down 57 pounds total. I could lose 25 to 30 more pounds. Progress is extremely slow now averaging 1/2 a pound a week. Surgery on should. No lifting above like a press, I miss your workouts, but this summer I may be able to begin again. Yay! Walking. Focused on nutrition. Perfect plate. Light weights. Some squats. No gym access. Sleep. Love MRT just need to modify for now. Scheduled meals. Less stress. Gratitude. Forgiveness of any hurts.
Hey CC, thanks for writing in and congrats on the big change thus far! Sounds like you are doing awesome on your journey. For more information, check out our blog site with some great articles for menopausal women: pulse.ly/a37m7xz7cs Thanks for watching! -The FMP Team
I think intermittent fasting is my preference but can you sprinkle in 3 meals plus snack once in awhile due to schedule changes, vacations, group events?
I do IF, OMAD, and cut out DEEP FRIED FOODS, cut down on sugar and junk, and don't eat late anymore. Lost 50 lbs last year w/o exercising. I do bodyweight exercises for my legs to get rid of cellulite-3 months and it's almost all gone. The best thing I did was keep a Food Journal to see what my food issues were, I realized I loved fries way too much. Cut those out plus fried foods. I say all this b/c I'll be 55 later this year and have no menopause symptoms.
Yes. Me too. I am 47. I am in perimenopause. And I 've got so much belly fat. I am at the point now where food doesn't even seam to be appealing and appetizing anymore. I am trying to stick to fresh fruits and vegetables and plain yogurt and unsalted nuts and one or 2 cups of coffee a day. I try to drink plenty of water. It's hard man. I hardly ever eat out now because I am having digestion issues. I've had to redo my whole wardrobe now. I used to be a petite small or small and I could wear a lot of things like button up pants, jeans with buttons, dresses with belts and that kind of hugs around my middle etc... For more than 20 plus years. now I am a medium in misses or women's. I wear baggy swear shirts and baggy turtle necks and baggy sweaters and baggy tops cuz they are comfortable and baggy sweat pants or elastic pants cuz they're just more comfortable now. My favorite comfy clothes to wear at home are loose fitting pajama pants or pajama sets or loose fitting lounge wear sets, kaftans, or cotton Japanese kimonos
Intermittent fasting not eating pass 6pm), Yes 🙌 Sleep 😴 eating no meat (increase fruit and vegetable, and whole grain foods, healthy snacks, drinking plenty water ) Exercise- bike riding ( also stationary bike riding at home 30 to 60 minutes a day.)
Hallo Doctor. Can you please speak slowly. I can't good English. I'm from Germany. I like your programm. That's very important for me. Thank you very much ❤
You’re totally right. I can do a better job of that. As you likely know, I naturally speak fast and have a desire to slam through as much info as possible in a short amount of time due to attention spans / wanting to be valuable. I truly appreciate your feedback and will be more judicious with pacing on these more technical videos.
I want to do your program, but the way the economy is.. just can't bring myself to pay 150 bucks on me, when a dozen eggs are $10 in California.... Maybe, you could do a program we can split payments to get?
I'm going to have to come out of the closet and say, "I am a snacker". The truth has a stringer! I identified with so many things in this video and I'm guilty. BUT! Now that I know my short-comings I can and will overcome them!
I get that feedback quite a bit! I have a lot of enthusiasm and things to share... and I want to share as much as I can in a short period of time because I'm always aware of people's attention spans.

I've gained 10 lbs in the past two years. I want to lose at least 5 lbs.

I want to do your program, but the way the economy is.. just can't bring myself to pay 150 bucks on me, when a dozen eggs are $10 in California.... Maybe, you could do a program we can split payments to get?
Hi Kimberly, we are having a sale in March 👍
I'm going to have to come out of the closet and say, "I am a snacker". The truth has a stringer! I identified with so many things in this video and I'm guilty. BUT! Now that I know my short-comings I can and will overcome them!
Also diets don't work long time.healthy food ,working out consistently.

I have Gallbladder issues like millions of women. Fats make me Nauseous
In your case, definitely keep things lower fat... and consider taking a digestive enzyme with big meals (ideally an enzyme that has LIPASE).
You’re wrong.
I think I’d rather take instruction from an older female who’s in shape.

You talk way too fast
I get that feedback quite a bit! I have a lot of enthusiasm and things to share... and I want to share as much as I can in a short period of time because I'm always aware of people's attention spans.
No…. Your speed is spot on and crystal clear. I don’t have to adjust up the playback speed
