Twilight Animatronic to Sally Face Sewer Pony Transformation

- This is the second animatronic that I've ever modified, and it was really fun! The whole thing was funded by Briwolfie on TikTok. I'm a huge Sally Face fan, so I knew I had to make something from it.
If you're working with foam, and using any kind of heat on it (including a hot knife or heat gun), please remember to wear appropriate safety gear. Respirators are a must!
A big thank you to my awesome housemate Joey for helping me mix paint, and for helping with the thumbnail for this video. And another big thank you to my boyfriend, for coming on an adventure with me to get this second Twilight animatronic.

This is old, but if that spring is still haunting you I believe it may have been part of the touch sensor. Her horn, along with Starlily, have sensors in their horns when you touch them!
Also, your sewer pony looks stunning. I remember watching the process on tiktok, you inspired me to customize my Tyler robot!

The spring also reflects the light of the lamp, because its metal.

If I had to guess the spring is probably for light reflection. Just having a little light at the bottom of the horn would just make the bottom of the horn glow, but adding something shiny going through the horn allows the light to bounce off of it. Something springy allows the light to move and sparkle even more when the animatronic is in motion.
Oh, that could be it! That’s a really good idea, I didn’t think of that!

14:00 just looking at this test makes it seem like they’re in so much pain. Their head is just covered in a metal mask. They have no mouth and yet they are screaming
I promise he wasn’t in any pain 🥺 (that been said, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream is a great short story)
Also I’d start with the peppa for a more simple project after this

i know this video is pretty old but omg this is awesomely terrifying. i swear to you i saw something just like this in a nightmare i had when i was a kid that i haven't stopped thinking about and its tripping me out how spot on it was because that was probably like 12 years ago now. very cool
and to be honest i feel like it still having twilights voice box makes it way better so it was a good thing you kept it in my opinion

Woahh! That Elmo is so cool!! I’d recommend the Peppa though to do something easier as Elmo would be kind of hard with all the motion.
Thank you! He didn’t work when I got him and I was SO upset, but with a lot of lemon juice, he became (maybe) the coolest (and loudest) animatronic in the house

When I'm fucking with toys I always try to remove obvious branding since it helps me see them as their own thing not a mod of an existing thinf

There’s a point in every project where I look at what’s in front of me and go “what am I DOING” and that was this point for Sewer Pony

Honestly I’d love if one day you could reprogram this guy but to say lines from the actual game
I’d love to try doing a voice box sort of thing one day, they’re just a bit expensive and limited from what I’ve seen. But I’ll find a project it suits and give it a shot!

Thank you so much! I was actually thinking the other day about how I have that skinned Peppa Pig animatronic just sitting in a tub in my wardrobe. I could definitely make Piggy, I really don’t think it’d take that long! And it’s a pretty small animatronic, so it’s not like the materials would be expensive. I mean, if you’d watch it, maybe I should finally make Piggy 👀

So I’m an American, can someone tell me what contact cement is and where I can get it?
Okay obviously I’m not American but you should just be able to get it at any hardware store? Might also be called contact adhesive? And I’m pretty sure that Barge is one of the brand names you guys have over there! Contact cement is just a type of adhesive that’s really strong, and that I really like using!
Basically if it’s a hardware store that has a big glue isle, they should have a section for it!

I get that! I felt the same way at first, but I get all of my animatronics second hand, and there often a bit… dirty or in need of a clean anyway. There are probably hundreds of thousands of every one of these animatronics, so I’m sure no one will mind if I use a few here and there to create something different! I find FurReal Friends all the time secondhand, so I’m not cutting up a rare collectable. If you want to get into customising, I’d say go for it! It’s not ruining it, it’s just making it look a little different 💚

Do you wear a mask when sanding the EVA foam?
Yes! I wear a 3M respirator! It’s one of the plastic ones, not just like a dust mask. Every time I sand or heat up foam, no exceptions!
@horrorboycosplay I think you should mention that in your next videos. Like, for safety reasons. I'm a beginner, and it only occurred to me that I might need a mask for that because I saw one with my airbrush supplies.

Sorry, what do you mean by Alboni? Sally Face is a horror video game. I played it on Steam and on the Switch, but I know that Jacksepticeye has a good playthrough as well! There’s a bit early on with ponies, so I made the main pony from that
