Does this work with an Alesis Nitro Mesh kit? No email or contact information on their website - wierd. How does a company make money if you can't contact them?
Honestly, I don’t know, but maybe someone who is reading this can help you out. Have you tried contacting the developer of the app, he would know the answer👍
I’ve also pinned your comment to the top, so that will be the first comment people will see when they open up the comments, hopefully someone can help you out😊
I'm a drummer so this absolutely blows me away! I can't wait to play around with this. I like how the minute you click on Mike it starts the double strokes rolls on the hi-hat. lol I hope they add Alex and Neil to this in the future!
great video, but can you show how you use rock drum machine as a sound module triggered by another midi app in AUM.? a lot of people seem to be having problems with this.
Hi..Do your Lumbeat drum apps run in the background on your iPad? So when I switch to another program, does the application sound mute? I want to use Lumbeats drums with my iPad while singing with guitar on stage. Is there any other program you would recommend me for this? Or do you think this is the best? thank you in advance for your answer
Ok, i got an answer from LumBeat. Playing live a Rock Drum Machine groove with the sounds of another LumBeat app (Reggae Drummer, Future Drummer...), and vice versa, should be possible through virtual midi in/out. It is not at present time, but will be, he’s working on it. Good news 😊
Apologies in advance if this is a stupid question. I am not a musician, but I'm try to learn to play the guitar. I bought this to play along to when practicing in a desperate attempt to gain a sense of rhythm 😄 One thing I haven't found is any way (using the presets) to get a 3/4 or 6/8 time beat (not sure I know the difference between them). I'm thinking for songs like Hallelujah, and House of the Rising Sun. Is there any way or am I on completely the wrong track?
I love this intelligent drum, it's brilliant. I use it with the bluetooth pedal (M-Vave) with the 4Board option included in the Rock Drum Machine. The only problem I have is that the trigger is reversed. I mean all four footswitches work on Release. The same footswitches work fine (on Press) with other apps. So I'm assuming it's a RDM issue. Do you know by any chance what might be the solution? Thanks
Hi Maria, did you get your m-vave pedal working with this? trying mine and i cant get it to connect at all. Any tips? Not sure what mode it should be set in the mvave app.
Nice presentation, as usual 😊 Do you or anybody amongst the viewers knows if it is possible to play in realtime a Rock Drum Machine pattern with the sounds of another LumBeat app, Funk Drummer for example ? The live Midi in/out works well with a synth app like Troublemaker, but when I want to patch a Rock Drum Machine groove to Funk Drummer sounds, it doesn’t work, no Midi is sent. The Export midifile function works though. What I do is : - patch Midi out of Rock D. > Funk D. - patch Midi in of Funk D. > Rock D. - same Midi channel 1 (tried other ones) - start play > Rock D. groove plays with Rock D. sounds, not Funk D. sounds - I’ve tried Rock D. Sound module on/off, no change - I even checked the midi notes mapping on both apps Is there something I’m missing or is it not possible ? By seeing other LumBeat apps in the Midi out routing screen, I thought it was.
Yes that works for me, RDM with Brushes app just mix down the volume of the app you don't want prominent and brush beats with rock drums or vice versa.
@@pedr0p0lis By « if it is possible to play in realtime a Rock Drum Machine pattern with the sounds of another LumBeat app », i meant : first app rhythm playing the sounds of the second app, like a DAW would play a midifile with external sound module. It seems however that Sound module option has been desactivated. In Cubasis, none of LumBeat apps appears in midi out list, while many other developers apps do. And despite trying complex routing with Audiobus and AUM, it doesn’t work. Not replacing the capacity of playing a simple midifile from a DAW, LumBeat has yet implemented this year great rhythm translation option between a few apps. You tap a button and the rhythm is adapted in the other app. What works great too is the Ableton link between LumBeat drummers, iBassist and all compatible apps. An import midifile would be a basic but appreciated feature. My dream is that LumBeat adapts his great apps on Mac, as VST/AU plug-ins. 😊
@@doudoudou8667 I know what you mean, but i don't think that is possible, i sync both up together with Ableton link enabled and they sync up, tempo, start and stop creating very interesting cool beats, my hope is one day the app will be able to import midi files, then what you want should also be possible. Its still worth the money a no brainer, hooked up with a midi controller its a full-on drum machine: Start/stop/fill/outro/intro and even beat changes.....only the beatbuddy can top that but thats not an App🙂
I bought this app hoping I could get a better drum track for my recordings. Whilst the process is pretty straight-forward once you get your head around how it works, that's where the fun starts. I created a track at 126bpm, with a double bass kick drum - not exactly blast beat but more than straight 4/4. When I play it back, it misses beats sometimes in, I'd say 2 out of 4 plays. When I export it, the resulting track comes out in wav. format and sounds absolutely nothing like the track I created! Anyone any ideas how to get a better output (I don't have midi capability). and also has anyone else found the. exported track sounds nothing like the created? So far, it's a 4/5 for ease of use but 1/5 for output options. I want to be wrong, anyone able to help?
Anybody have any tips for me? Should I be looking into this app, or X Drummer by Positive Grid? Rock Drum Machine appears to look dated, and while the sounds are really good, it looks old. So, what are the pros/cons to these apps? Rock Drum Machine is more expensive, and obviously even more expensive when you want to add more packs in.
Ah just to leave another comment, I was hoping you'd have shown the 'export as multitrack'. I'm curious to know what it splits up to, Does Kick/Snare/Tom1/Tom2/Cym/Hi-Hat all get separate stems? to then dump into something like Cubasis 3?

The best drums on iOS, gets better with each new update.
Love the other drum machines from this developer too.
"Drunk John" has to be an experience to behold LOL
Amazing Review 👍👍👍 Thanks Doug!!!
Brilliant app and brilliant video. I got this just the other day thanks Doug👍
awesome! thanks for showing us this.
Thank you very much Doug 😎👍🏼
Perhaps a little bit machine gunny on repeated hits? - I thought Drum Perfect sounded more real - what do you think, Doug?

Can the "rhythms" be user patterns as well (for constructing a song)?
Edit: Yes.

Won’t let me upgrade to the full version on an iPad Pro 😢
why can't I see sound module in my app?

How come when I try and make a new song, there's no + button to add parts? It worked perfectly before the update. Very disappointed
HI. JUST BOUGHT IT, BUT I DONT HAVE THE SOUND MODULE FEATURE ! WHY ??? AM I SUPPOSED TO USE ONLY THE PATTERNS ???
Any way to get ride of the tail when exporting to Audio Share? I had to trim when brought in to Audio Share.
