Just got it today. So far, the best rock and metal drums for iPad. Sounds good in GarageBand. I really like the garage band Live drummers but there is no control over fine tuning the kit or beats. Can’t wait to record some new tracks.
Thanks for this....I want to use it with Garage Band on my Mac Book, can that be done? Just so the drum sounds can be heard (and recorded) in Garage Band.....
I was wondering how to set up midi to use with Auria. I am able to record audio but unable to generate sounds using the piano roll in Auria like your tutorial where you used drum perfect with Auria. I do have both apps set to channel 10. Any help would be appreciated!
Excuse the newb question. What is the best use for this app? To use it In conjunction with a DAW or just using it live by itself? Can someone please clarify? Thanks
Very important question. It may be obvious, but; Will this do old school hands on live beats? In other words using fingers for singular drum sound on pads. I haven't seen this feature demoed..I do beats from scratch, and record each drum/cymbal on separate studio tracks by over dubbing each singular sound.. I'm thinking it would surely do this, but the pad demoes don't do what I expected, as used on YT..
Hi Joel, yeah you can’t do that with this, the pads are only quick loop selection, you should definitely check out BeatMaker 3, I think that would be what you may find more of what you may be looking for
Believe it or not I am a session player in Nashville, haha..I always like combining hands on sound pads w/ loops for great quick demoes, w/great acoustic "drum sounds" and trash them out (loFi) plugins afterwards..No offense, but beatMaker 3 sounds like Korg keyboard, (samples) from the 90's..According to the sounds that are demoed in Beatmaker3, do you agree? Rock drummer and soft drummer sounds are what I'm hearing, in my head..So does the Beatmaker3 have acoustic drum sounds in that quality range, or compete?? Thank you for helping..
There is a way to control this app from other apps like midi pad controller. Just connect it via network session. Ive done it. You can also use this as your software module using external midi controller.
Hi Slim, linked and locked to tempo and drum kit change, so that when I change the patterns and styles the tempo and my chosen drum kit stay the same, if I have that little button in between the patterns and drum kits is unlinked then if I change the styles and patterns the tempo and kit changes too
When you're in song mode, your soundset has to be set to one sound only, so all the parts you add sound the same lol how the hell can you make a song like that !!?? Huge flaw, $25 later - very disappointed.
Hi Doug, 6 years and still very informative. Great work, thank you!
Great tutorial mate...

The people who develop these apps are incredible.
I’m on the same boat. Looking for some Ez drummer kinda thing for iPad. Do you recommend this app for building drums ?
Big thanks it's an hidden gem !
Great job Doug ! As usual I want to purchase this app after your demo. But I can't find the seagull sound. IAP ?!
Great app!
Wow
Will this work using an Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit? (via USB?)

You never cover the “Save” or “Export” feature. Can you Export midi?
The Dev says it’s coming in the next app update. They said this on Jan/2020.
i know it is kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to stream new series online?

Does this integrate with GarageBand in any way?
Unable to save ....how does that work?
Downoaded this today and am impressed but id like to export to AmpliTube and cant see how i do that. Any clue?
does it worsk if i plug a midi drumkit?
Has anyone compared Rock Drum Machine 5 against X Drummer from Positive Grid? Thanks!

Is there any way to enable background audio mode for this app? The sound goes dead when I go to use another app.
does it support auv3?
Can I set this up with the iRig Blueboard midi foot pedal?
Is possible to use it with GarageBand Audiobus and bias FX ? To record in GarageBand ???
Its IAA instrument, so yes you can
Audiobus doesn’t launch it mind you all I have is the Lite version
Can I map out an entire song? Can I write my own drum line for my own original song or is it just for jamming
Raven Strange Yes you can program your own patterns and yes you can map out an entire song
Keep in mind it only lets you use one sound for the entire song, so all your drum lines will sound relatively the same 👎
Can't make midi in "sound module" setting work with Auria or Cubasis. Other drum apps work fine. Why?
Make sure you are sending to the same Channel, in RDM 10 by default but you can change in the Midi Setup
How do you export a song that you have created to an IOS DAW? I can't seem to figure that out.
Use Audiobus

Thanks Doug I appreciate the reply. Is the L & L function something that I can do or is it resident in the app and only does it when it want to?
does it work with ipad garage band?
Yes
Would you mind elaborating

Not used one before, totally confused by Grooves, Patterns, Rhythm, Songs and the relationships between these. This vid explains nothing to me.
I have this app and it crashes every time I press anything on the screen, and the app closes and I lose everything. DO NOT get this app***
