It is important to understand that "sugar" and "carbohydrate" are synonyms. ALL carbohydrates are essentially the same and end up as excess glucose in the bloodstream. Glucose is essential but we make our own through a process called gluconeogenesis - and we make exactly the amount we require at any given time Fructose is the exception when it comes to carbohydrates as it is processed by the liver. Fructose is approximately 10 times more glycating than glucose even.
No supplements are required if you adopt a species specific and species appropriate diet. It is not essential to ear organ meat at all - they are purely optional. There is evidence that eating large amounts of liver can lead to copper toxicity.

I recently added too many purine rich foods,(too much) calf liver in particular to my diet and suffered terrible gout flare ups.
To treat the gout my doctor prescribed daily Allopurinol and Colchicine to replace it (temporarily) if a flare up occurred; the Colchicine works promptly. The gout was agony and was causing permanent distortions (tophi) in my feet.

@@Celticspy911 Fruit also contains fiber, and vitamins. AND you cannot overeat fruit, your body knows how much it needs. (That is not true for fruit juice, which does not happen in Nature)
I don't know about you, but with one apple, I have enough. (and I love apples) - whereas with processed foods designed to trigger cravings, we end up going back for more.
Information about glycemic index is helpful. Essential, even, if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic. A diabetic friend of mine asked me to NOT put onions in my vegetable soup: you know how, when you saute it, it turns brown? well, that is caramel, that is. But for healthy people, who will go and burn it right away (i swim 1600 m/day), it is fine.
Best: keep a diary for a month, what you have eaten, and your mood after the meal, and again, a couple of hours after: you will soon detect if you have sugar spikes.

There is no such thing as "good" or "bad" cholesterol. Neither LDL nor HDL is cholesterol. There is one form of cholesterol and it's called... cholesterol. Cholesterol is not deleterious to health in any way - it is absolutely essential LDL. If cholesterol was responsible for atheromas why do these not occur on the venous side of the vasculature?
HDL are lipoproteins which transport cholesterol.

All vegetable oil is posion ... olive oil or animal fats good

    • @ericeric9208
      @ericeric9208 День назад +7

I am mostly carnivore with some occasional green vegetables, absolutely no seed oils in processed food, and no deep-fried food. For a treat, I do allow myself some dark chocolate (Lindt) and some natural, ORGANIC peanut butter (Smuckers), so I was concerned about the fat content of Peanut butter (more on peanut butter later). Last year I spent a few hours analyzing the actual number of double bonds in various fats, including the common animal fats and all the common plant world fats. Peanut oil was highly "monounsaturated", landing actually right next to Olive oil, just on the "worse" side of it (a bit more double bonds, but not nearly as many as any of the "seed" oils. I came up with a "double bond factor" calculation, the higher the number, the worse the fat is for you, in terms of oxidation/rancidity and free radical production. Here is my data:
      Common ANIMAL FATS:
      Butter: 35
      Beef fat: 63
      Lard: 70
      Poultry fat (chicken/turkey): 87
      Common PLANT WORLD FATS:
      Coconut: 11
      Palm oil: 60
      Olive oil: 95
      Peanut oil: 120
      Corn oil: 138
      Canola oil: 138
      Soybean oil: 146
      Safflower oil: 164
      > As you can see, if a person idolizes Olive oil for it's "monounsaturated"ness, Peanut oil only has about 21% more double bonds in it's structure. Note that "safflower" oil is a nightmare of free radical producing double bonds. As I recall, Sunflower oil was just before Safflower oils in being pretty terrible. I don't know where my data for that one went. Note how "saturated" coconut oil is. If you want some plant world fats, coconut oil would certainly be advisable, it has a nice taste in cooking. Palm oil is pretty saturated also, about the same as beef fat or lard, however palm oil has a pretty strong taste, kind of dark and yucky in my opinion. I personally steer away from all plant fats, not just because of the double bonds, but because they would contain "plant cholesterols" (phytosterols) which I do not believe are good for us. Our body can't use them the same way it can use "animal world cholesterol" (like our liver MAKES and what is found in meats/dairy) in order to build cell walls and create hormones and stuff like that. Besides, Paul Mason thinks "plant cholesterols" might actually contribute to making blood clots. I do cheat with my "peanut butter" though. NOW, about peanut butter. BEWARE that in most of the "store brand" peanut butters, like Skippy, Jiff, Peter Pan etc... they REMOVE the peanut oil, leaving peanut "pulp", they then sell the premium peanut oil as cooking oil separately, then they REPLACE the oil in the peanut butter with cheap SEED oils like corn, soybean, canola, sunflower or safflower, essentially RUINING it and making it be full of terrible double-bond filled fats. The ONLY peanut butter I've found in regular grocery stores that doesn't do this is SMUCKERS NATURAL ORGANIC brand. I has only PEANUTS and SALT in it, nothing else. Some grocery stores do have other "regional cottage industry" brand natural peanut butters without seed oils or additives, learn to read labels carefully. FUN FACT, peanuts/peanut butter are one of the best sources of "Molybdenum" which is a very good nutrient to be sufficient in, and it's not abundant in too many foods. BY THE WAY, all the store brand MAYONAISE is also full of the WORST "seed oils" (also salad dressings). The only mayo I found remotely decent was "Sir Kensington" olive-oil based mayo, but I don't bother with mayonnaise anymore.
      > If you aim your fat content towards the "less double bonds" of the list above, you'll be on your way to better health. Note that "butter", at factor 35, is probably one of the healthiest fats you can eat in terms of being "non-oxidative" (and also has tons of other good things like vitamin A, vitamin K2 and "short chain saturated fats like "butyrate"), but it's always been so wrongly "demonized".

I was asking about peanut oil because it's one of the oils you can get in bulk without coughing up an entire months salary. I only use it on the rare occasion for things like large outdoor fish frys or frying a turkey. We mostly just use butter with a little coconut or olive oil here and there.
We found the same thing with peanut butter, occasionally you will find it under another brand but if you look closely you'll find it was actually manufactured by Smucker's.

@@RRaider Not sure if you ever noticed it, but aside from their good quality jams and jellies (which I of course don't eat any more, Hahhhh), Smuckers also markets a very excellent imported coffee called "Cafe Bustello" from South America. You can get it in small cans, but I like to get it in their yellow "vacuum sealed bricks", because I believe it helps keep it from getting moldy (most cheaper coffee has a lot of mold because the beans are stored in damp warehouses then are transported in the damp cargo holds of ocean ships. The Cafe Bustello is very good coffee at a very affordable price.

It was you who switched me onto Keto when I was diagnosed as pre-diabetic Ivor. According to the NHS full blown type 2 is an hba1c score of 48 and my score was 47, but I accept your premise that I was in fact full blown type 2 because they added/invented 'pre-diabetes' to lower the shocking figures of those with type 2, i.e. to con people into thinking the problems isn't as bad as it is.
Keto, intermittent fasting and resistance training = the trinity of good health and vitality. I engaged in all three together when I first got the diagnosis. After a few months my health markers, including blood sugar were all spot on, I lost 5 stone in the process and am now a healthy 13 stone and pretty ripped.
Been doing this for over 4 years now and I'm as fit as a butchers dog at 67 years old and the clarity on mind is off the scale. Thanks for being a part of my journey to good health Ivor.👍🏻 Your research and advice also deterred me and my whole family from taking the death shot as well so who knows, you could have saved our lives, something I don't take lightly.

I don't disagree that some supplements can be beneficial to mitigate the loss of essential nutrients and minerals in our current environment (e.g., iodine), it's always preferable for the body to make what we need if possible. Vitamin D (a hormone) supplementation for example cannot reproduce the cascade of effects that occur from sunlight exposure. I wouldn't watch this channel again personally, although I know he is well-intentioned.

I turned full carnivore last February; appreciate it’s going to take a while to undo the damage over several decades of poor eating but am surrounded by friends with diabetes, heart issues and jibby jab probs (I never participated) and I’m the awkward one re food!! Lost a load of weight, brain fog 3:04 gone and see no reason to not continue this way of eating. I refuse to call it a diet as that sounds so temporary. RFK Jr is going to be very interesting to watch when he really gets motoring and he looks the epitome of health; a brilliant advocate for his role.
