figure out a way to have bathroom access with travel mode. Maybe a split bath with hall up the middle so the RV could be used while slide is in. then ya got a winner. thanks for posting.

KZ Recreational Vehicles Sportsmen 231RK has a middle bedroom entrance with access when the slide is in. But the shower and sink are IN the bedroom. Only the toilet is private off to the side.

Pretty basic, but good for those who don’t spend much time in the RV! And easy to tow, which is always a plus.😊

A few big RUclips people with GD frame issues so now people think every GD has issues. Social media got to love it 😮

bring that tv down and use a TV lift station and add a cabinet above. no neck wrecker that way. Shrink the dinette or remove completely with a fold down table for eating. Personally I have not found a comfortable dinette in a camper. after 10min or less they are miserable. might as well leave it open for some bar stools or something.

The eating area should be beside the refrigerator. I would like the seating out in the open not closed up in a box.

Trying to figure out how GD can market these as half ton towable when they have 1000+ lb pin weights. Two 200 lb adults in your truck and you are at your payload lol.

Depends on the 1/2 ton. It isn’t uncommon to see payloads approaching 2,000lbs on some modern 1/2 ton trucks. Ironically some 3/4 diesel trucks have less payload than their 1/2 ton counterpart.

Very similar to my 23LDE except my RV is actually larger than this one. Just under two feet I'd say.

So I’m curious about pin weight on 5th wheels so their stated pin weight is dry weight then you would add 20% (I believe that is what you said) to the dry pin weight to get your fully loaded pin weight? Am I understanding this correctly?

Thanks for your response I have a 3/4T truck was considering a fifth wheel camper just wanted to know so I didn’t get one that was to heavy for my truck I will check out the videos

      @@martinmerle4105 -- There's "Towing Capacity". There's "Payload Capacity". And there's "Hitch Capacity".
      They are all different.
Now... Open the door on your truck and read the stickers closely. It will tell you the MAXIMUM amount of weight your truck can carry (not pull).
      That is the Payload.
So you have to add up the "Pin Weight" of the fifth wheel plus the weight of people and items in the truck plus the weight of anything you put inside the fifth wheel. And THAT cannot be more than the "Payload Capacity" of the truck.
Don't worry about the weight of fuel in the truck because it is already figured in by the truck manufacturer.

Looks like no anti lock brakes, correct? I didn't see anything online about it either.

Ditch the dinette and put an L shape 5:45 bar with stools over looking your campsite. Your buddies at grand design coined the look.

I like the unit. 2 things, Brandons gas prices have forced us to shorten some trips so lighter is def better. Outer banks this year from NW GA was north of $750 for gas. Also farmhouse sinks have an exposed side but that was a nice single basin. Great review as always!

If it is a fitth wheel from grand design, i 2ould stay away. Any 5th wheel will break just under the bedroom. Its a 90° frame that is just not gusseted to take the weight. STAY AWAY!!!

Wouldn’t have a Grand Design. Too many frame failures and they don’t want to address them.
