Nah, I think they haven’t touch this subject yet because majority of them have yet to come to a feature presentation (it be a film or an animated genre) and majority of the requested fights are whatever seems to be trendy worldwide. (Especially anime, comics n video games) It’ll be an interesting point to see a fight between protagonist Hunger Games and Battle Royale’s main villain killer student if this were the case.
Wait, didn't Star Wars start as a novel? That means, you're wrong... Star Wars has won 2 or 3 times, if I recall correctly... It's no different than Harry Potter, which started as a novel and then got made into a movie... Pretty sure this makes your statement null and void...
The guy from the beggining said anime characters never wins, when they won 10 times until now, sometimes being a fan of something makes your vision blurry, thats what makes Death Battle so controversial.
It used to be a thing when Gaara vs Toph and Kirby vs Buu came out. But Vegeta and Epyon won back then it confused me. It died down as soon as Gut and some seeing that Kirby and Superman MAYBE deserved their wins.
@@silverkai4217 Yeah that’s true, Vegeta lost against Thor when he should’ve won. They were using multiple sources for Thor’s powers which half if not most of his powers are basically irrelevant or completely non-existent for his character to have in recent comics. Vegeta went against enemies and dealt heavy damage to some of those guys that Thor couldn’t have possibly defeat and their leading thing that they used for Thor to win aside from strength feats “his hammer can absorb shit” Vegeta could’ve easily destroyed the fucking hammer with no issue and yes energy can be absorbed but destruction ki? Something that what it touches can legit destroy anything it comes into contact with if concentrated enough which the only two people in existence to use of effectively being Goku and Vegeta have already done? Yeah sure, that mighty hammer of Thor is sure fucking great. Thor beating raiden from MK? Understandable, Thor winning against Vegeta who has faced worse foes and basically survived all of them and also has shown to be way more durable than he is letting on and is capable of destroying anything in his path because of his multitude of abilities and newly acquired ones that basically make him a god of destruction in training and a really powerful one at that? Yeah no thanks.

@@olp3850 Ok I hear you, but to state abilities that he has in the 60’s and it’s believed to be the same Thor when clearly it’s not is uh a little stupid. And yes I understand the whole thing that he would absorb the energy too but it’s still BS that they were willing to shove every single version of Thor that they could find and yet they don’t even include dragon ball heroes stuff for Vegeta. And if anything, having him use a form that clearly not enough of it is even shown and the info behind the form at this point is just very surface level of “I can use destruction energy and damage makes me stronger, but I have all the drawbacks of ssj3 because I just got this form and haven’t properly trained to use it” while Thor over here is like “I shock you and you either die or I bring you back from the dead depending on how I feel”. How would you feel if Optimus prime fought against Mazinger Z and Mazinger wins because they used every iteration of that character in both Manga and Anime and even go as far as to use Mazinger Zero which in the story the pilot controlling the Mech that now had to fight it because it became sentient with evil, had to call upon every single Mecha character in all of anime that was created after Mazinger to defeat him, but for Optimus they use the Michael Bay version of him at his most vulnerable and nothing else. Doesn’t feel fair does it? Like if they wanted this to be a one sided battle from the get go, they could’ve at least made it funny or interesting like they did with SpongeBob vs Super Friends Aquaman. But nope, they made it as if Vegeta ever had a chance against essentially an Archie comic level character that had no business being paired up to fight anyone since they can just kill him by swinging once. And especially after watching the landslide that was sonic Archie Comics Silver the hedgehog Vs Dragonball Heroes Future Trunks, and then seeing SpongeBob vs Super friends Aquaman (which was more entertaining than the last fight) it made me realize that at this point it’s useless trying to make any sense of these match ups whatsoever. We get to see character beat the crap outta eachother and that is what matters as long as it’s a fight and not a Brutal take down that swears it’s a fair match up but really isn’t. Good examples of those kinds of fights that are completely one sided and fun was the SpongeBoB v Aquaman and the biggest one being Omni-man vs Homelander.

In a vacuum yes, but we do already have 8 confirmed returners this season (possibly 9 if Akuma fights Shao Kahn). While i'm fine with bringing characters back, Vegeta is most likely going to fight Thor if he does return so that would have made for far too many returners this season if they did bring both back (8-9 is already a lot, but i do think it's better if the returner count doesn't hit the double didgets) instead of featuring new characters even if they have mostly the same powers as some previous ones.
Before watching this I actually went over the full list of Death Battle episodes and tallied up every time an anime character won or lost against a non anime character (not counting franchises that started out as anything other than anime/manga because obviously). Anime has a 12/11 win/loss ratio. So no. It's not true. Anime has won more often than lost. Not by much but by enough that the idea of bias is easily disputed.

Ben admits that they hates superman and loves goku, chad also says Ben is the biggest sonic fan and loves the archie sonic comics so yeah they don't hate non marvel characters.
The problem is that the casual fan wouldn’t go there, and there is no prompting to do so. Plus, Ben 10 vs Hal Jordan was biased as (bleep) and the writer of that DB blatant told on himself by giving Hal Jordan things he himself didn’t do, but denied Ben 10 a feat he actually proved to have, more than once!! Really goes to show that people don’t really think when they watch these. They just go “Oh, [instert anime character] lost? Clearly it’s bias!] Out of the whole list, four of them aren’t accurate from what I can tell. Most of that is just due to outdated research. Gaara vs Toph: If the research back then was as good as it was now, it’d be a solid W for Gaara. Carnage vs Lucy: Carnage was actually just lowballed in this one. Even without scaling to Spidey, he’d be way faster than Lucy. He’d definitely be able to get a hit in before Lucy can kill him, and one hit is all he needs. Venom vs Crona: Recent buffs from the conclusion of King in Black would result in Venom winning instead. (It finished RIGHT AFTER the battle was released, too.) Hulk vs Broly: Had they done the same kind of universe-size research for Hulk that they did for Reverse-Flash, Hulk most definitely would have won. There’s some debate about Guts vs Nightmare saying Nightmare would win with superior power and Mega Man vs Astro Boy since both have way higher feats than what was listed… but I don’t really care about either match so… meh.
Honestly, I think everyone is Fine with Lucy Winning, At least mostly Everyone, Because I couldn’t Stand Lucy Getting Demolished by Carnage, Never. *N e v e r.* And Hulk vs Broly is pretty controversial, But I think It’s Right, But WAY More Closer than it was presented, Because GB Is WAY Weaker than Broly, And RF, Is Basically Omnipotent, Just BASE Broly could Reasonably Just One Shot GB Without even Trying considering the Power Of Vegeta and Goku during the DBS Broly Movie in super Saiyan alone. The rest? I don’t know Crona Enough To know Crud. And Gaara? Yeah basically everyone agrees he wins.
@@spooderbike4814 If I may? Theres actually a large argument for Hulk beating broly, they left out SO much, and what they didnt leave out, they lowballed HARD. Could I inform u on it?
@@spooderbike4814 Thanks bro!! Okay so 1st off, we have to clarify a few things with Marvel scaling. 1. Odin is comparable if not STRONGER than beerus. This is known as "skyfather" tier. Skyfathers like odin existed BEFORE time itself, and odin has a couple good multiversal feats. Odin has nullified a fire that spread across the ygdrasil, a tree containing at MINIMUM 9 separate universes with their own time and space, all resting on infinitely growing branches. He actually broke the 10(heaven off) and cast it away, all using his own power. In a battle with the skyfather Seth, their clash threatens the marvel MULTIVERSE, and that's not just 1 universe, or 10, or 20, but bare minimum 50 universes that have multiple layers and dimensions inside of them. And the kicker? Odin was dealing with just getting his memories and powers back, and was wearily fighting like a human instead of a god. When he gets his powers back tho, he FLOORS Seth. So with Odin being the measuring stick, let's talk about the green goliath. Death battle stated that Hulk thunderclapping the Dark crawlers blast back was what destroyed a universe, the issue is that universe is MUCH bigger and higher up in reality than just the main universe. Hulk actually lit the thing up with 1 punch. Hulk destroying this universe by thunderclapping the beam away is MUCH greater than universal. I think death battle also forgot to state that the Marvel universe itself is infinite and endless, but other higher levels of reality are not ONLY larger, but stronger. Next, in "heart of the monster", Hulk is in what's known as his green scar form, this persona Is brought about by Hulk and bruce agreeing to let hulk take the wheel, and Bruce removes the restrictions on hulk that hes always had. Bruce basically let's hulk take full control. Now, Green scar smashes Umar, dormamus sister. And right after, he fights these things called the mindless ones(not to be confused with mindless behavior , I heard that boyband broke up I think). Hulk pulls up on them and starts taking HEADS off, casually killing them. The issue with this is, the mindless ones have made DORMAMU fear for his life, and dormamu has fought and managed to hurt ETERNITY. Eternity is SO far out of Odin's league it ain't even funny😭 So, hulk is pulling off a BEYOND skyfather level feat right there, and since Beerus> Broly, that should be enough right? Well call me Billy May's, cuz wait, theres MORE!!! In the world war hulk story, green scar fights Dr strange who has a creature called 'zom' inside. And Hulk does relatively well against him. An issue with this? Zom is actually a DEMON that was so damn strong, ETERNITY and I think DORMAMU had to team UP to fight him. Depending on how much of Zoms essence strange got, he would be on that level. They also downplayed clapping the DEVIL of the Multiverse(the one below all) away. Keep in mind, they were not only in ITS dimension(where it had free reign over), but devil hulk(Bruce's original hulk persona) stating "it bought us a minute" means that toba was DOWN. And last time I checked, higher level beings dont go down unless u scale to them. The form they take doesnt decrease their power the way u think it does. Eternity could appear as a small burning Bush but that doesnt mean a gallon of water would put him out. That was no small feat hulk pulled, and death battle severely downplayed it. There are more crazy feats hulks pulled off, but I mainly wanted to hit the ones they got wrong in the video. Oh also, from what i heard, death battle fabricated the "hypothalamus" being what controls hulks rage. In world war hulk, Hulk fights sentry to a stand still. Not only has sentrys powers been stated and shown to CALM hulk, but also he was burning and fighting hulk(and the 2 were always even in the comics) too. But seconds later, Meek Kills hulks best friend and bruce powers RIGHT back up to hulk, then goes even FURTHER when meek reveals HE caused hulk to come back to Earth. If the hypothalamic over taxation was what caused Bruce to transform back, that would mean that he cant get any angrier, except not only did bruce get mad, but he shattered limits he didnt even HAVE all in the span of 5 minutes. Tony shot a laser atBruce, but it didnt hurt him, it just drained ALL the gamma he had in his system. But it built back up, and that extra gamma was released upon the planet in a later comic but reabsorbed by hulk. Lastly, Death battle shows bruce speaking to Hawkeye on the hypothalmus(they panel they always pull up), but what they dont tell u is that at that time, Bruce was NOT the hulk, and had no gamma in his system at the time. Amadeus cho absorbed it all and was the hulk during that time. Bruce was experimenting with dead gamma cells trying to get back to being the hulk but it didnt work. That's when Hawkeye shot and killed him. Hulk has also had his brains blown out in immortal hulk and didnt die from it. Just had slurred speech. So the hypothalamus isnt his weakness. While broly shouldve been stronger than what they said, they got the saiyan multipliers wrong. Goku and the gang cannot bust thousands of universes like they said. Dragonball only has 12 universes with like 9 universal sized realms in it(each are infinite and endless true) 12 x9= 108 The only 1 capable of wiping it all out is Zeno. Super Broly being able to wipe it all out means hes AS strong as Zeno, which is super false👍🏾
Won't lie. That one had me salty. I know strider would beat Ryu hands down. But what pissed me off was that they let strider heal, but not my boy ryu(elixirs made by monks) and he also has rebirth talismans (made by virgin monks). Not saying the outcome would change but they broke their own rules. It you're gonna kill my Boy, do it right
8:24 Here it must have been a victory and a defeat at the same time since the origin of optimus prime comes from Japan since there it is called a convoy so it is half anime and the other is normal.
The main problem comparing anime to comics like DC or Marvel is that the anime characters usually have 1 writer and don't get reboots, while the comic characters get rebooted all the time and reinterpreted by different authors. Easiest example is Superman, who originally couldn't even fly and had difficulty lifting heavy machinery, but other versions have him casually sneezing galaxies into dust. They're just not consistent, and most writers try to outdo the previous ones with bigger feats.
That's why there are different continuity and DC even labels them so instead of just using composite feats from different versions they should pick one specific version
Some of these fight here the anime characters should have lost but I won’t go into details unless someone want me too, I don’t want to get hunted by salty anime fans (I am anime fan too 😑)

@@dubemonoh2745 Ok so galaxy level for vegeta is correct, however, Scaling shadow off sonic? I'd say even the base form of shadow can beat Vegeta. In secret rings, Erazor djinn is eating the stories of the book "the arabian nights", I think he ate like 102 stories/pages. An issue? Each story is its OWN universe, infinite and endless. Base sonic fights him MUCH later and SLAPS his shit. Meaning base sonic on his own is Stronger. If we follow the scaling, shadow is still equal to sonic(at least till generations). This means that Shadow in his base form is uni-multiversal. And still scales off sonic(who ran through multiple universes till he ran OUT of the Arabian nights book). Super Shadow is even MORE of a monster, as in Sonic rush, the eggmen state that the sol emeralds and chaos emeralds repelling each other were breaking the universes apart. They then steal the sol emeralds power and use it to power their mechs. Super sonic and burning blaze pull up and with a FIRE stage soundtrack(seriously "wrapped in black" is FUEGO, I say give it a listen, I used it when facing bosses in Dbz kakkarot b4 I sold the game) they destroy the eggmen. It was stated that each of the chaos emeralds have limitless power too. In sonic rush adventure, the eggmen find a staff called the "jeweled scepter" and are going to use it to destroy BOTH sonic and blazes universes and build a new one. They claim its stronger than both the chaos and sol emeralds, but when u actually fight them, sonic can casually slap away all the attacks, and even the strongest attacks dont make u lose rings. If that's not enough, In sonic 06, Solaris shows up and just from existing, erases all of time time and space. The only thing keeping the characters from dying were the chaos emeralds, which kept solaris destruction at bay, but that power wouldnt last forever. Solaris is stated to be a super dimensional being, aka it's on a higher plane of reality. It was also stated it can "eat dimensions for lunch". It exists in the past, present and future, so the hedgehogs have to go and fight 1 solaris each. Despite this they manage to beat Solaris all at the same time. At to kill it, elise has to blow out it's original form. A small flame. This resets time itself.
@@dubemonoh2745 Tldr? With proper scaling, not only is shadow MUCH faster than vegeta, but also bare minimum a UNIVERSAL fighter in his base, let alone his super form. However if u dont like that, u can just say his Super form is bare minimum universal, while shadow himself is star level in base.

@@humanburrito2120 tbf Batman’s biggest strength is his ability to maximize prep time to be able to come up with a plan. With a death battle he can’t exactly do that. Look at all the battles he’s been in, they never show him making a plan. With enough time Batman can even beat gods, by himself. But that takes time, which you don’t get in death battle. So Batman is constantly at a unfair disadvantage because pretty much his biggest strength is locked, leaving only his extremely good martial art skills, but as we’ve seen in most battles, they don’t mean much in the final outcome because he’s always put against super humans like Spiderman and black panther. So they will have a edge in speed, strength, reaction time, ect. So Batman will usually lose most of the time. In fact his only victory, was a fluke that death battle did to be able to say “hey Batman may have lost to spider man, but he beat captain America”. Watch that death battle, they did captain America wrong.
The fact that someone had to make this video says a lot about how dumb people can be. Just because anime characters sometimes lose against non anime characters doesn’t mean that death battle hates them, it just means that death battle doesn’t treat as unbeatable gods, hell four anime characters have even beaten comic book characters. Anyone who genuinely buys into the whole “death battle is biased against anime!” Nonsense should get some brain cells.
Short answer: they kinda bias. Long answer: Death battle being bias isn't really shown in the wins, to me at least. Most of the time I look at battles I see the anime characters are mostly poorly researched and downplayed while the opponents sometimes get high balled, A few points, 1, the dragon ball universe is constantly lowballed to planet/solar system level all the time even though this contradicts statements and auther intent. Not to say dbz and dbs are universal, that's definitely a high ball. There was even a moment in a goku vs super man ep where they halved goku's speed while doing calculations on his forms multipliers. 2, naruto characters (naruto, sasuke, madara and all the otsusuki) are planetary and light speed through statements and feats, For some reason db thinks lightning speed Kcm is just as fast as a light speed six paths and an uncontrolled blob of chakra from a outdated younger naruto is his maximum attack potency. 3, high balled combatants like with Superman and toph, they said Superman lifted a book with infinite pages but in the literal comic panel they show he failed to lift it, and with toph for some reason her exaggerating saying "it feels like I'm lifting the entire world" when it was nothing like that in context but its ok, but it's not ok to use a guidebook stating an enemy sasuke defeated with no difficulty is planet level. (Next one is my opinion) 4, half of anime battles in this video were from jap games with anime adaptations, with anime adaptations. street fighter vs dbz, mega man and Astro boy, shadow vs vageta, shadow vs ryoko, all the battles mentioned in this point were basically an anime battles. I agree anime characters aren't unkillable gods but they are definitely downplayed and poorly researched.

Would very much like to point out that Anime/Manga is a style that originated in Japan. And in Japan, anime just means cartoon. If a cartoon is made in the anime style (regardless of the nationality of the author) it is an anime. Saying a show isn't anime just because the people who made it weren't Japanese is like saying only a Grecian architect can make Greek style pillars and every other pillar made in that style not by a Grecian isn't actually a Greek-style pillar. Just because you don't like one show, doesn't mean you get to write off a bunch of other amazing art just because the creators weren't of the correct nationality.
Non Japanese people can't make anime =/= Non greeks can't make a greek STYLE pillar. Non Japanese people can make anime STYLE cartoons = Non greeks can make greek STYLE pillars. Yeah, there are western cartoons heavily inspired by anime, but they're not anime, they're anime STYLED, but they're still not anime, like how while a non greek architect can make a greek style pillar, it still won't be an actual greek pillar. Also, "Just because you don't like one show, doesn't mean you get to write off a bunch of other amazing art just because the creators weren't of the correct nationality." How is he "writing off" Avatar just because it isn't an anime? Do you believe anime is the only good form of animation that's worthy of praise? It seems more like YOU are writing off non anime animation yourself. Hell, you said it yourself, Japanese people call ALL cartoons anime, Shrek and Spongebob are all anime in Japan. So why even restrict it to cartoons that look like a certain way? Especially when anime don't even all look the same anyway? Are you just afraid of the thought of liking a cartoon?
@@danield.d.d.daniels7292 I absolutely was not trying to write off other styles of animation, In fact I enjoy most types of cartoons. My point, was that the author's country of origin really shouldn't play much of a role in deciding whether or not something is of a certain style. And if you have an Anime-STYLED cartoon, why not just call it Anime instead of being a prude about it. By that logic, unless you are of the country of origin, then any art of any kind can only be called styled by anybody else. @@rulerchop4032 "By that logic, unless you are of the country of origin, then any art of any kind can only be called styled by anybody else." Yeah. So? "This promotes a mentality where talented artists don't get the same kind of recognition as more "authentic art" and we lose so much potential that way." I've noticed that all anime characters are humans (or at least human-like when it comes to Saiyans like Goku and Vegeta), which is probably the main reason why I am not a fan of those types of characters, since there are no anthropomorphic animals as main characters in anime shows to enjoy at all.

(It finished RIGHT AFTER the battle was released, too.)
Hulk vs Broly: Had they done the same kind of universe-size research for Hulk that they did for Reverse-Flash, Hulk most definitely would have won.

Thanks bro!!
Eternity is SO far out of Odin's league it ain't even funny😭
So, hulk is pulling off a BEYOND skyfather level feat right there, and since Beerus> Broly, that should be enough right?
Dragonball only has 12 universes with like 9 universal sized realms in it(each are infinite and endless true)
12 x9= 108
The only 1 capable of wiping it all out is Zeno. Super Broly being able to wipe it all out means hes AS strong as Zeno, which is super false👍🏾

Man really dissed the guy in the beginning with facts LMAO
The main problem comparing anime to comics like DC or Marvel is that the anime characters usually have 1 writer and don't get reboots, while the comic characters get rebooted all the time and reinterpreted by different authors.
Easiest example is Superman, who originally couldn't even fly and had difficulty lifting heavy machinery, but other versions have him casually sneezing galaxies into dust.
They're just not consistent, and most writers try to outdo the previous ones with bigger feats.
That's why there are different continuity and DC even labels them so instead of just using composite feats from different versions they should pick one specific version
The anime chars are actually starting to win.
Anime fans are childish, any time one of their favs loses the dislike button suffers

Ok so galaxy level for vegeta is correct, however, Scaling shadow off sonic?
@@dubemonoh2745
Tldr?
With proper scaling, not only is shadow MUCH faster than vegeta, but also bare minimum a UNIVERSAL fighter in his base, let alone his super form.
However if u dont like that, u can just say his Super form is bare minimum universal, while shadow himself is star level in base.

@@EnigmaMystere we don't forget. I'm pretty sure no one can argue that result
Anyone who genuinely buys into the whole “death battle is biased against anime!” Nonsense should get some brain cells.
Yeah if they were against anime, hulk would have won his secon fight
Fanboys are always a pain in the ass
Short answer: they kinda bias.
Long answer:
Death battle being bias isn't really shown in the wins, to me at least.
Most of the time I look at battles I see the anime characters are mostly poorly researched and downplayed while the opponents sometimes get high balled,
A few points,
1, the dragon ball universe is constantly lowballed to planet/solar system level all the time even though this contradicts statements and auther intent. Not to say dbz and dbs are universal, that's definitely a high ball.
There was even a moment in a goku vs super man ep where they halved goku's speed while doing calculations on his forms multipliers.
2, naruto characters (naruto, sasuke, madara and all the otsusuki) are planetary and light speed through statements and feats,
For some reason db thinks lightning speed Kcm is just as fast as a light speed six paths and an uncontrolled blob of chakra from a outdated younger naruto is his maximum attack potency.
3, high balled combatants like with Superman and toph,
they said Superman lifted a book with infinite pages but in the literal comic panel they show he failed to lift it, and with toph for some reason her exaggerating saying "it feels like I'm lifting the entire world" when it was nothing like that in context but its ok, but it's not ok to use a guidebook stating an enemy sasuke defeated with no difficulty is planet level.
(Next one is my opinion)
4, half of anime battles in this video were from jap games with anime adaptations, with anime adaptations. street fighter vs dbz, mega man and Astro boy, shadow vs vageta, shadow vs ryoko, all the battles mentioned in this point were basically an anime battles.

Also, "Just because you don't like one show, doesn't mean you get to write off a bunch of other amazing art just because the creators weren't of the correct nationality."
How is he "writing off" Avatar just because it isn't an anime?
This promotes a mentality where talented artists don't get the same kind of recognition as more "authentic art" and we lose so much potential that way. @@rulerchop4032 "By that logic, unless you are of the country of origin, then any art of any kind can only be called styled by anybody else."
