If we assume that biomodded Tomora would be on roughly the same endurance level as All Might, then that'd mean that nuclear warheads would be near-fatal. (One may be survivable, but getting hit with several all at once would be death.) IIRC Homelander is said to be able to survive nukes as well, so that'd put them on roughly the same levels of endurance. All Might of course would be far stronger and faster, but the laser eyes & super senses could make up for that difference.

I think it's just because The Boys feels relatively grounded as far as super hero media goes, he's the biggest dog in the smallest of the super hero ponds. That said I think people love to watch him get beat up and if that was removed I think he could body a lot of characters and most of his fights wouldn't be nearly so one sided.

Also, not sure how far you are in regards to Invincible, but Mark could absolutely take Homelander at like, half a year after his powers manifested, and that's charitable. The durability and strength levels of a Viltrumite are beyond Homelander's wildest dreams. Of course, John serves his role in his home universe as an unstoppable threat, but if discussing his potential against other Superbeings, he's laughably weak in pretty much every regard.
I'd be hard pressed to call Homelander an embodiment of evil. He used to have actual good intentions. Which were shattered when he accidentally killed due to his lack of actual training, and due to his upbringing became a narcassistic god-complex monster. All for One is closer to being an embodiment of evil: Only self-serving from the start by any means necessary.
Course, who's paid attention knows that Allmight at his strongest is pretty strong. However there's another Allmight that's a bit more dangerous, it's when he loses his temper and wants you dead at any cost. Allforone found out.

Much like Homelander vs. Omni Man, one is a bully, the other is a seasoned veteran. If Homelander in The Boys is a big fish in a small pond, then in MHA he’s a big fish in the ocean. Plus, while Homelander has super strength himself, All Might once punched a man so hard that he shifted the wind in a way that made it rain. That requires the sheer force of several tons of TNT

Feel like it misses one of the biggest things about all might. No matter what the situation or how desperate he is, he always enters the battle with a huge smile to make the people rest at ease.
Well clearly you haven’t watched the show, or you forgot, back when he came to the students aids at that training dome or whatever, he wasn’t smiling, because he was genuinely pissed off around this time. And nobody had even died around this time besides some big injuries. Now here, hundreds of people were dying to a single man who didn’t seem to show any regret or remorse for his actions. I’d say it’s very in character for him to not be smiling here.

Homelander just can't compare to anyone who shares his powerset. Also, not sure how far you are in regards to Invincible, but Mark could absolutely take Homelander at like, half a year after his powers manifested, and that's charitable. The durability and strength levels of a Viltrumite are beyond Homelander's wildest dreams. Of course, John serves his role in his home universe as an unstoppable threat, but if discussing his potential against other Superbeings, he's laughably weak in pretty much every regard.

Homelander isn’t used to fighting people who can effectively fight back. Everyone is superpowered in the MHA world. That old lady who lives next door could have the strongest quirk in existence. The top heroes of this world got to where they are by fighting many who were just as strong, if not stronger than they are. Much like Homelander vs. Omni Man, one is a bully, the other is a seasoned veteran. If Homelander in The Boys is a big fish in a small pond, then in MHA he’s a big fish in the ocean.
Plus, while Homelander has super strength himself, All Might once punched a man so hard that he shifted the wind in a way that made it rain. That requires the sheer force of several tons of TNT
Homelander is the top of the food chain in The Boys universe, but outside of that he's nowhere close to other Superman style characters.

Feel like it misses one of the biggest things about all might. No matter what the situation or how desperate he is, he always enters the battle with a huge smile to make the people rest at ease.
Well clearly you haven’t watched the show, or you forgot, back when he came to the students aids at that training dome or whatever, he wasn’t smiling, because he was genuinely pissed off around this time. And nobody had even died around this time besides some big injuries. Now here, hundreds of people were dying to a single man who didn’t seem to show any regret or remorse for his actions. I’d say it’s very in character for him to not be smiling here.
