      1. I think he went way too dense and forward for a young guy. (He could have retained some modest recessions, a natural look.)
      2. I'm surprised the Doctor, who knows he went heavy, is now proposing 400-500 more grafts, especially since he's not taking Finasteride. Add 100 single grafts and forget it.
      3. He could be quite thin / bald at 45, with this thick 1" band up front.
      4. He really should have waited another 5 years, and gotten on medical treatment. (This reminds of a Clip I saw where the dude has had 9-10 HT, and he's late 40s with no donor supply left.)

Its crazy how this hair transplant industry is so evil. The best procedure is currently patented in netherlands and it regenerates at least (40%) of the hair on the back of your head so you have more donor for future transplants, also since the needles smaller there are ZERO scars even if you shave it off. But unfortunately this industry is so big and theres so much money at stake, most doctors are not willing to admit it because it will hurt their business. Ive researched this technique for almost 11 years...before I had it done lol...well also bc NW 2.5 isnt too bad. There was even a burned patient back then who all doctors refused to do a hair transplant bc there was so little donor yet this guy had like 3-4 transplants each with 1500 grafts and has a decent head of hair now.
Its not supposed to transform a NW8 to NW1 ...but its way better than regular FUE. I had it myself and shaving the back...literally NO sign of holes or anything...went frmo NW 2.5 to NW1.

Great commentary. I've watched plenty of your reaction videos and I feel the hairline looks great but a bit low. He's still very young and hair looked great even before. When I was in my early 40's I started receding but kept a dense forelock; I went to several surgeons here in LA but I was told that I wasn't a candidate for the surgery. Now I'm 53 now and my hair slowly kept receding on the sides and now I have a weak forelock. I've been researching surgeons here in LA but no luck. Only if Dr Linkov had a clinic here in LA area...I would get my surgery with him. Unfortunately, I can't fly out anywhere.

Hi Dr. Gary! Just started following your channel recently. I love the in depth walk through videos you are putting out. I am doing some research on hair transplants (as I am considering one in the future) and came across something referred to as Sapphire FUE. Which apparently is where they use blades made from gemstones instead of regular steel blades. They claim it reduces the risk of complications such as trauma and scalp tissue damage, that tissue recovery will be quicker and that you may achieve a higher density than with steel blades. Is this something you have any experience with or can weigh in on?

I’m not sure if you’ve already released a video or some form of media on this yet but I see Brett wore a bucket hat to protect his head from after the 1st month of his procedure and also heard you mention that from about 2 - 3 weeks one may wear hats as they normally would.
In previous videos I recall you mentioning that straight after the procedure as well as in the early days of one requires or choose to wear a hat that it must be lose fitting so as to not disturb the newly transplanted hairs. The hat I have seen is for this is what looks like surgical caps.
My question is: are there hats, other than the surgical caps, that you recommend or believe are safe for one to wear in the early stages of recovery as a way for people to feel confident and more comfortable walking out and about without showing their head?

    • @awh4272

In high contrast lighting I can still see my scalp when I look in the mirror or bend down and look at my scalp. I have a good attitude about it no matter the final outcome because I'm confident that it will be an improvement. Just turned 50 and not trying to be 30 again. ---- I would consider slightly more grafts at the year plus mark to increase density depending on the cost. But I'm hopeful the density will increase naturally on its own over the next 5 to 6 months!

To lessen the effects of post finasteride syndrome, you need to reduce dosage amounts gradually. This allows for the body's natural hormonal balance to slowly adjust to proper levels. I found that reducing from 1mg to .5 mg per day allowed me to keep the side affects down to a minimum, and reduce dht to levels which are still beneficial to hair growth.

Excellent observation. But you are going the wrong way here. Instead of gradually decreasing the dose of finasteride and risk rebound thinning and withdrawl hair loss, it's better to start finasteride at a a very low dose, may be 2 mg/ week. Studies have found finasteride to be effective even in microdosing, so why to go for the full dose in the beginning. Start with low dose, see the results and if at all in future you develop tolerance or resistance to that lower dose, you can safely increase the dose a little bit. Bro, always remember whatever hair you grow with the help of finasteride is like taking a loan, now it's upto you to decide how much loan you wanna take, and how much interest in the form of side effects you want to pay.

like do i really have to take finasteride wouldnt minoxidil be enough? the side effects of fin really cooled off my hopes of getting a hairtransplant or was it just gibberish ? really hope you answer to my questions ✌

Excellent video and analysis, thank you so much! At 8:45 you discuss a method for a less obvious transition from single grafts to heavier hairs. May I ask what you mean when you say @8:55 "place the heavier hairs not right at the front but starting closer to the front"? If for example the first 2 rows are single grafts, what should the subsequent rows be in most cases?

Was wondering about your opinion on an interesting n unusual combination of DHI pen, but with the channel opening. The advantage is that a doctor (not technician) do the opening the channels (Dr Serkan does nothing, anyone can do the drawing). It's a clever idea bc the clinic can be,, cheaper,, compared to the ones in which a doctor does most of it, but still it's as if a doctor did everything as putting the hair in once the opening was done by the DHI pen is not that difficult for experienced technicians. They do it in Thailand n the results looks stunning. In my opinion they do the most natural hairline I've ever seen, bc micro macro irregularities are done so perfectly. I can DM the clinic, I was told:
,, The DHI is modified so that we can work faster. The implanter pen we use is blunt tip. So that we can use nurses to do the job on 2 sides at the same time. The nurse will only have to put the hair back into the holes that the doctor made. The direction, angle and density will be just like how doctor designed during the premade incision step. We will still get other benefits from the implanter pens like the protection of the hair follicles etc.,

I had a bump removed on my forehead and I think the clown cut a little deep and damaged the supraorbital nerve and that actually made a small region of hair above it come out curly for some months. Maybe there is some complex communication going on. I had 3 fairly large bumps (from golf cap sweat bacteria I believe) removed and it fairly quickly became impossible to see that it was ever cut. Aside from the nerve damage it was quite good.

hey people, I did a hair transplant on October. FUE of 2,000 to the front of my head and today 7 months later I feel really really modest results... The doctor told me that a second transplant would be needed anyway to cover the back as well but I feel like the difference is no negligible that I might just give up on it... What are the common reasons for a "not really noticeable results" from a hair transplant? And to clarify I took a world renown surgeon in the USA for tons of money so I assume its not the surgeons fault.

First of all, thanks for your clear comments on every video. really interesting. I was interested in a hair transplant (even if I'm at the highest level of baldness, but with a high density in the donor zone). I finally gave up. The reason is the front line. I 've never seen (from now) a really natural one. Those low growth thin hair we have on the beginning of the natural hair line, I never see that in hair transplant. I know that those hair could fall because they are in a risk donor zone. But unless you choose a hair cut which cover it, this kind of hair line is obviously from hair transplant.
Do you have any example of a close look on a front line, which seems natural? I would be interested to see it. Thanks anyway, Dr.

Hi Doctor, have you touched on Finasteride immunity? one of our aussie hair experts says that finasteride effectiveness becomes reduced every year. So far theres not much research but by year5 the effectiveness is reduced by 30% or something. The doctor also mentioned that Finasteride is effective in your system for up to 1month so theres no real need to take a daily dose.

    • @sakshiagrawal501
      @sakshiagrawal501 Год назад

Yes there are so many studies proving even low dose finasteride to be quite effective. I usually start it at a low dose of 1.5mg/wk, and most of my patients get surprisingly satisfactory results. Also regarding immunity, yes on long term use you may develop tolerance or resistance to finasteride. So it's always better to start on a low dose so that even if later on you do develop tolerance, you can safely updose the medicine.

▪︎ I think you mentioned that oral Minoxidil can help facial hair.
▪︎ If you can, please elaborate on how Minoxidil, either oral or topical can improve beard hair growth - particularly on the questions of:
    (i) growing facial hair in places where there is no beard hair at all, and
    (ii) thickening beard hair.
(iii) I'd also be interested to hear about other therapies for men's facial hair.

It depends firstly why you're losing hair, or why it's not growing. These medications don't work for everyone. And they stop working once you stop using them, all the new hair you grew falls out. Buy a bottle of Regain foam and try it for 3 months, just apply small amounts where you "need" it. If it's going to work, you'll know for sure by then. There are loads of groups online for men who specifically use it for their beards with great success. Just don't use more expecting faster growth, you'll just be wasting your money that way.
