My best friend is Turkish. Born there and moved here when he was 10. Just got back after 4 more years over there. ALL surgeries are extremely inexpensive. He a got a mouth full of implants for $4000. That includes removal, teeth and a follow up appointment. That same replacement costs over $35,000 here in the US.
Face it, the US medical system is here to profit and profit only. If they weren't getting paid to let our elders die during COVID, they would have found a way to get them on $500/month prescriptions.

Before & After results speak for themselves, always. Also depends on the style you want, if you want a more natural look don't go for a doctor who's famous for providing sharp looks. if they looks sketchy at all, avoid it like the plague. And most importantly make sure they have a TÜRSAB license, otherwise they're not certified to provide services to foreign patients.

For those who don't know much about Turkey. Turkey has a good health tourism overall not just for this procedure. Same regulations as EU and the price used to be quite same maybe a bit cheaper than europe but because of the currency crisis (from 1 dolar equals 2 turkish lira to 1 dolar equals 17 turkish lira), it got cheaper last several years for foreigners . Also in the West Asia and middle east, Turkey has the most advance health care facilities so for years anyone who are wealthy get their medical treatment like cancer treatment in Turkey. So they have luxury medical facilities design for that. Due to money depreciation now it become available to middle class in the West.

Why do people leave out the fact that Turkey is experiencing rapid inflation and the Turkish currency is losing value when saying that plastic surgery is cheap in Turkey? Plastic surgery in Turkey was the same price as in America before 2017. You would be paying the same price + the plane ticket + accommodation. Before 2018, we couldn't get a vacation in Antalya because it was too expensive for us (We lived in America, so we used dollar obviously) even when we converted our dollars to Turkey currency (lira). But now, we can get a vacation in Antalya by converting our dollars to lira because Turkish currency lost value. It became cheap for us. 1 lira is 18 dollars now!
In the U.K. there are no regulations around Botox and filler treatments, which means the actual treatment can be performed by anyone with or without training. In Turkey, there are stricter regulations regarding nonsurgical cosmetic treatments. Only aesthetic surgeons, dermatologists and specialist doctors can administer Botox and derma fillers. Turkey's medical facilities are in top 500 best universities in the world. Nearly 50 medical facilities in Turkey are accredited by the Joint Commission International, of which over 90% are hospitals. JCI is a nonprofit health accreditation organization based in the United States. It is the top criterion for medical travelers. Hospitals are frequently inspected by the Ministry of Health Inspection Board. One of the claims made in the British press was that Turkish surgeons do not need insurance to practice their profession. This is entirely false. By law, all doctors must have insurance in Turkey. This is called "compulsory financial liability insurance" for cases of medical malpractice and it provides pecuniary and non-pecuniary damages while also covering the litigation expenses of doctors, dentists and specialist chambers working in private or public health institutions and organizations.

I had one from a well know surgeon from Belgium. Result was just OK, he was very Conservative but what I did appreciate was he carefully selected the grafts from the back of my head. 4 years later I went to Turkey as its obviously cheaper. I got the result I wanted but they had no regard for taking out the graphs. They made no effort to chery pick just took a bunch out of back and sides so im left with decent hair on top and patchy back and sides. Just remember in turkey it is very underpaid technician's who extrat the graphs not the actual hair surgeon. Regardless im happy enough overall. BTW one transplant is never enough and I had some decent hair still remaining.

A country like the USA cannot compete with lower wage countries like Turkey for these procedures, a HT is closer to arts and crafts. If it goes wrong you can do it again and get more density at the worst case. FUE is very manual work intensive but not difficult once you get started, my doc in Thailand told me that. Had one HT in the US, not great results even though I wen to a top doc in LA. Had another HT in Bangkok, great results and less than half price per graft and the doc was using the LION implanter which gives far better density and angle control than the old forceps method still used in the USA. Look for clinics using the LION implanter tool if you want the best. The old way is using punches and forceps and is usually delegated to techs anyway, the doc is no implating the grafts in the USA and also most places in Turkey as its just too much manual, repetitive labor.

I started transplants in my late 20s with two good clinics: Cleveland and Chambers. I got a lot of good years out of them. What they don’t tell you is that what’s called senile alopecia can really thin out your donor area as you age. I wound up getting SMP, which I was very happy with for a couple of years, but then I got tired of the look and grew my hair back. My hair doesn’t look fabulous, but I’m pretty fortunate. The combination of my hair having grayed, and that I’m Caucasian plus the scalp having been filled in with the micropigmentation, I actually look pretty good when it’s kept short. Unfortunately, I have never responded to minoxidil for finasteride, but I’ve started to try light therapy and micro-needling.

Funny, my husband shoots and edits all the videos (and has since before they were just one doctor in one location) for Restore in Chicago/Dallas/Denver. $2K is crazy cheap for that many grafts. But even in these bigger cities, 20-$30k is an outrageous number. Most procedures are closer to 10-$12k depending on the number of grafts needed. Also funny, my husband has been offered a free FUE procedure for years and has never taken the offer. In the end, you gotta do you! ;)

hey doc! greetings from turkey, i just wanted to clear some things up.
turkey is of the most popular places to get plastic surgery, and get procedures done for last couple of years is becuse it is so cheap , and the reason to that is our failing economy sadly, some might think that it is cheaper cause of the lack professionalism or quality. but actually it is beacuse of the currency at the moment.
right now when im commenting 1 dollar is 17,76 turkish liras, which makes 2000$ = 35.500 turkish liras, and it is not cheap to us lol. and also we have free healthcare in turkey, so even the private clinics are not usually that pricy, cause we have an option o get it done for free, in some cases even free botox and fox eye lifts lol.
what i can recomend to people who are getting procedures done in turkey is to search about the clinics they are coming, the hotel they are staying and do really detailed background checks about the places you're getting procedures done. do not get scammed and try to stay in istanbul a few weeks afterwards the procedures so you can visit your doctor few times during the healing process !!
