Love the blending of b-roll shots that build atmosphere and give a stronger context to the GoPro footage. Combined with soft music and narration, it really sets the mood.
I randomly came across your channel a week ago, and I don't know much about photography but I like the journey you take us on capturing each photo. Really amazing. I feel the videos bring me comfort.
Teo your vision was always so inspiring, I always love how you explore photography as art and part of your life. Its the vision of appreciation little things and just seeking for beauty in everything.
Thanks Teo. Tokyo is just endlessly fascinating, at once ugly and beautiful. You capture that so well for me. Particularly loved the girl on the bridge with the umbrella and the whale/ foot on the trolley.
A year later after I watched this video, I’m now in Japan for the first time. I’ve been looking forward to taking photos like these since I saw it, and now I’m having a hard time not taking photos(I know, very touristy), everything in Tokyo is just so god darn intriguing and absolutely perfect for street photography.
Beside that these are great impressions of a nightwalk and wonderful compositions with lovely details, I am really impressed by the colors. It´s not easy to have saturated colors like that in night-time-photography.
I love your videos! They show the true creativity of humanity in an era of perpetual spiralling towards ai; there is something in taking a photo of a dynamic world - like the ones you take - that are just so eye opening
It is so interesting to me that you seem to feel more comfortable composing horizontal images while for me I almost always gravitate to vertical compositions. I find it very hard to compose horizontally and to arrange elements in a pleasing relation to each other. Super relaxing video, thank you!
Oh wow really? In that case we are complete opposites then, because I struggle with vertical compositions. I would argue that horizontal feels more natural to me seeing as I perceive the human vision to be in a horizontal view🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video, thank you!☺️🙏🏼
True that should make it inherently more intuitive to me🤔 I feel like layering is easier to achieve as in a vertical image the eye automatically tends to go from the bottom (or front layer) to the top (or background layer). To me it is easier to fill a vertical frame and my horizontal images often have a lot of unwanted negative space. I would really like a camera that has vertical as the default position like some 645 mf cameras do

Nice calm video with some decent photos. I am amazed how quiet the streets are despite being in a big city. At least that's the impression I got from the video
Thanks!☺️ Quiet in terms of sound or busyness? The main roads are actually pretty loud especially when the road is wet, but for a better listening experience I always mix those clips at a much lower volume👍🏼 However many of the streets I was exploring here were indeed very quiet🤔
@@teocrawford in terms of sound. Except the cars , I didn't listen to other loud noises which is a very calming experience. Although might be the fact that you lowered the volume as you say . I don't know 😅
Nice shooting, Teo. The GX handles night photos like a pro - what ISO were you at? I'm thinking of getting a GX85 soon. Being in Japan have you heard of the store Hard Off? It's a store that resells old electronic and such, including cameras. And from what I've heard the prices are insanely cheap (compared to USA/EU)
Ahhh I think there's a misunderstaning! :,( Firstly I totally forgot that the horrible red focus assist light was on and secondly it's very normal in Japan that people hastily hop out of someone's photo if they notice, that they're in frame. They think their disturbing the shot and so they run out of frame and apologise. So I think that is kind of what was going on here - I really do hope I didn't mistakenly scare her.
How I missed watching your videos and in Japan, wow! As always, I love your photos! 3 shots caught my attention very much, the one with the night guard, the one with the empty hall way, kinda reminds me of a horror movie (haha please let me still comment on your videos) and the whale. Those are great! You never disappoint. Good job!
I tried to look at his camera screen and although on most picture you can't really tell, he seems to be using the Lumix 20mm f1.7 pancake lens, shooting in manual mode, 1.7 aperture (makes sense, it was dark), shutter speed somewhere around anywhere from 13 to 80 depending on how much light there is, and ISO set in a range between 400 to 800 from what I could tell. I think unless you use a tripod, with M43 cameras it really helps to have in-body stabilization to help gather more light without the shot becoming blurry, allowing for slightly longer exposures, including hand-held. Hope this helps and correct me if I'm wrong !
