6am at a big messy house party in 2004ish, everyone was lying about coming down while some sort of techno just looped endlessly, I opened the curtains and windows, let the sun and fresh air in, stopped the tunes, put the promo of this tune I'd picked up on the decks, cranked it up and from the breakdown on we came alive again! It's almost 15 years a later and my mates whose party it was has passed away, but every now and then I remember this tune takes me back to that party and those times. Beautiful.

This was played by Tom Ravenscroft on 6Music this morning while I was out delivering car parts. I think I had an out of body experience. Windows down, a sunny day, then this comes on. One of those little moments of magic you think about years later.
I had a similar moment two years ago. Went on a mountainbiking trip to wales with friends. Straight off the ferry in hull (we’re from the netherlands) we hop in the car and within minutes this song is played on the radio, felt so free and excited to drive through an unknown country with friends on the way to a load of fun while blasting proper music.....with the windows open and sun shining ofcourse.
When I heard this for the first time, I knew drum&bass was where it's at for me. Now it's accompanied me for half of my life and never got old even for a bit.
I used to go to London to record shops since I was young with my brother . I bought a load of hospital record cds when I was about 16, this was on one and I really got into HC, will always come back to this tune ♥️ a lot of memories from high contrast 🥰 can’t believe it was nearly 20 years ago
In 2004 I was in uni at Sheffield. It had a great D&B scene but me and my mates listened to anything as long as it wasn’t mainstream stuff. When I listen to this track it takes me back to those days - floor 4 in the halls of residence, partying all night somewhere and this track was played at the afters every single time. The smile on my face when I play it to people for the first time shows the happy memories associated with it. Absolute timeless classic!
I remember I was listening to this song on the mornings in schoolbus going to highschool ( ~2010 I think). It's still working and bring me joy and energy to go to work now ! Amazing song ! So much good vibe !
Just bought some Technics after an 8 year hiatus, this is the first tune that came out of my vinyl stack. Genuinely gave me shivers - all the buried memories I'd not dwelt on for what seems like an age came rushing to the surface. It's incredible that music can evoke memories that could easily have been forgotten permanently.
High Society was the first High Contrast album I listened to (in 2015, no less), and it really just turned me on to DnB in general. The whole genre just feels right for me. Best album I ever bought.
