Finally a chef who uses the Wagyu fat for other dishes. It always breaks my heart when I watch Teppanyaki videos and the best part goes "down the drain" ... thanks for the nice vid 🤗
I don't know why, but watching the chef take that little corner of Wagyu and also cooking it made me feel really good. It was like he knew the customer probably wouldn't care about that little sliver of Wagyu not being there, but instead he still cooked it because he didn't want to waste it.
As a chef i just want you to know that the tiger prawn almost spoil judging from the black head(even after cooked) and marks on the shell(frostburn) if you received some sort of that just request new prawn. Eating spoil prawn can give you stomachache or worst if you have sudden allergies
Most of the shop in Malaysia they dont keep up the quality as it should be with the price like that... Maybe in USD it is cheaper to be compared at but in RM it is not worth it
It's a sin to watch these videos on an empty stomach haha, I love your videos, I hope we have dancing beacons for a long time. Greetings from Mexico, Viva Dancing Beacons!!!
What I love about Malaysia is how affordable all the prices are. It allows you to try all kinds of foods that otherwise might be outside your budget in your home country.
RM 300 for a meal is expensive in this country tho . The exchange rate make it cheaper for you . For example, the RM 1500 minimum wage in malaysia makes the meal cost bottom 40% malaysian close to a quarter of their monthly salary . Sad I know .😌
I love watching the episodes when you eat together. Our partners expressions are so cute and both of you are fun to watch. Great video, thnx for sharing.
As a Malaysian, I can confirm the food and skills of chefs are exceptional, but I can also confirm that the quality and the salesmen/managers here are almost 100% trash. Since the worth of RM is going down and prices and debts and loans are going up, the people can only try to cut corners whenever possible. Don't find it weird if you ever get food poisoning in Malaysia.
yknow, having worked in teppanyaki its so interesting to see the sheer variety of grills, chef techniques, and even methods of serving like in this video, the fact that the customers get a selection of different cuts from what i'd assume is the same slab of beef before steak slicing. the place i work at doesnt do this simply because we have a weight range for each of our items. anything that ends up below or above the range gets used as the nightly kitchen dinner (essentially at the end of each night our main cooks decide what trimmings we will eat on that night, often we get mostly standard chicken/beef trimmings, but our wagyu trimmings get used as the fat portion of any ground beef we use, and if we have any broken seafood like shrimp that got torn in half or other such things, then we can use that for dinner too
also second note as i got further into the video i do not like this chefs (LACK) of grill cleanliness. dude just leaves chicken scraps to burn and make the grill cleaners life that much less enjoyable
I love all the different restaurants and shops that you go to. All the food looks delicious and I really like these videos where they are cooking right in front of you.
I'm a very picky eater and usually the only thing I like in these videos is the steak and rice but I would most definitely try the other foods, watching how masterfully it's prepared makes it seem more delicious.
Wagyu is like the most best meat I have ever tasted. If people never had it you must try it. All it needs it just salt 🧂 pretty much well in my opinion❤️
This looks fun and delicious! I just hope the guests who ordered the chicken set doesn't have a seafood allergy! Note: This might actually be the way to do it -- ordered the cheapest set, but make sure its cooked with luxurious sets like prawns or squid... all the flavor without the price tag!
Allergies aside, I hope the person who ordered the lobster and scallops does not catch salmonella. The safe temperature for chicken is like 165°F whereas seafood is 145°F. I can't believe they put them in the same plate.
@@CaiJabari Let's hope the grill was 165F for the safety of the person eating the chicken... but that makes me sad to know the shrimp would've been overcooked.
Anybody with a little cash can do this. Start with snacks, then fast casual, then dip your toe into fine dining. You can get 1 Instagram post, 1 reel, a tiktok and a RUclips video out of one visit. Start a blog and you've also got a blog post. All it takes is consistency; just show up.
I feel like we watched different videos. You should watch the Japanese teppanyaki chefs on this channel. Then, you'll notice that this one is equivalent to IHOP or Denny's level.
This was so AMAZING!! This chef was excellent. I'm so hungry now. I love watching a chef cook. The mastery is unbelievable. Wish I could have been there with you. Thank you so much for sharing. I LOVE your videos.
That was some seriously impressive cooking skills and being able juggle everything going on? That's a level of mastery of his craft and the show would be worth the price, cannot even imagine how truly delicious it all was.
Actually RM300 for the whole set is not too bad... Last week for my bday, we just had kyushu wagyu steak 250g alone for around RM480 at Horizon Grill at Banyan Tree, KL. 😮💨 So expensive 😱😱😱
I live in Pennsylvania in the US. We call those types of restaurants: Hibachi Restaurants But other than that it’s very similar. The set menus here are typically your choice of meat, fish or seafood - egg fried rice, sautéed mushrooms & onions, 2 shrimp and a side salad or soup. They have À la cart menu options as well, and usually a sushi menu as well. A lot of them have a sushi bar in the restaurant so you can either sit in there & just have sushi or you can order sushi while having hibachi. They are my favorite types of restaurants, so I absolutely love this video! ✌🏻💕😊
in america we call teppanyakis by hibachi because we thought they were the same thing (even tho they are not) hibachi = small grill with charcoal teppanyaki = flat iron grill maybe cause hibachi is easier to say for americans, who knows
Looks tasty, but something that I just find a little concerning is that they didn't clean the spatulas(?) after handling the raw chicken... Using those same utensils to handle the other food could be potentially bad.
i watch a lot of food video like teppanyaki where they bring you your side dishes first (soup, rice etc) than cook your food one by one and by the time all your food cooked most of your dishes is became cold. is this norm in asia like people prefer their meal is cold rather than piping hot.
3:22 Moving the chicken to fry on the area where the fish just fried is typically viewed among chefs as a bad move as it mingles the flavors of fish and chicken. And those prawns indeed looked spoiled and freezer-burned!
For teppanyaki I was expecting more performance, this was kind of lacking. The chef was very skillful but didn’t add any flourishes which are kind of what you expect when you order food this way. Also I saw another comment saying the shrimp were almost spoiled?? Idk kinda disappointing imo
🤣🤣🤣🤣I had a good laugh when I saw that and had to come to the comments to see if anyone else was as warped as me! I can't remember what post apocalyptic movie it was in, but the whole video I had the song Ring My Bell playing in my head , lol. Glad they didn't have ham sandwiches! 🤫👀😋😁 it's a good reminder to always be nice to those who cook your food, and the wait staff, if you don't want to end up as pork on someone else's plate! 😂🤣😁
Finally a chef who uses the Wagyu fat for other dishes. It always breaks my heart when I watch Teppanyaki videos and the best part goes "down the drain" ... thanks for the nice vid 🤗
Exactly! Glad I'm an not the only one that feels that way!!!
Same here! The fat is something not to be wasted!
Fat is the best part. I love that fatty crispy edge. My husband doesn't so when we go out I get double! He doesn't know what he's missing!
Same. I was imagine if I was there, I would bring my own jar and tell them to dump the oils in the jar, otherwise, it would be wasted. 😅😅
Like your sex life.
I don't know why, but watching the chef take that little corner of Wagyu and also cooking it made me feel really good. It was like he knew the customer probably wouldn't care about that little sliver of Wagyu not being there, but instead he still cooked it because he didn't want to waste it.

Perhaps that's why he overcooked it. 😟
Same with the wagyu. Looked freezer burned
Most of the shop in Malaysia they dont keep up the quality as it should be with the price like that... Maybe in USD it is cheaper to be compared at but in RM it is not worth it
Also using same utensils for raw chicken and then cooked seafood. Not clean
@@jetpark3743 Agreed. It was not the best of cooking standards for a restaurant.

As a chef you do not use the same equipment to handle raw and cooked meats let alone to then use the same ones on the veg!!!
