Really love your day in the life series. Interesting to see different cultures and how people do their jobs. I would love to see a day in the life of a railroad worker in Japan as it’s the job I do here in the USA.
It's so sick and disgusting to see people sell such majestic life beings as commodities to appease our stomachs. Objectifying animal lives in a sin and I wish natural disasters upon them for disrespecting life this way.
These Day in the Lifes are so awesome, getting to see the differences between (in my example german) different cultures is what it's al about. Please keep these coming.
Until you realize that Japan doesn't respect Foreigners, you are an oddity or curiosity at best. Its legal and acceptable practice for housing to flat out reject anyone who is not native born Japanese from renting an apartment or buying a home in Japan, even if they are a permanent resident of Japan or became a Japanese citizen (which requires being a resident of japan for over 5 years for a foreigner, and jumping through so many hoops you essentially need to hire an agency that specializes in the paperwork.)
As an Iowa farmer. It’s weird to me that he doesn’t live on the farm. What if something happens to your cows and your not there? But this is very interesting to see how other people farm.
His father probably lives on the land nearby as it is still his. But the town they live in isn't that big and the son and the workers probably all live within 10-15min drive and can get to the farm very quickly in the event of an emergency. Most likely the son will move onto the farm estate once he takes over/gets married etc. but you can't blame him for having a little distance from the parents with a live in girlfriend, might get weird during frisky nights.
I love this series of a day in the life, especially how Japanese are so proud of the work they have, even though they are not CEO of big companies or work in corporations. I hope I see these kind of content in the Philippines as well, instead of seeing pranks, unending unboxing, and home tours. Kudos Paolo!
Having often spent my summer holidays visiting my uncles organic farm in Cyprus I can tell you that the cleanliness of those premises is exceptional. It really amazes me how well the cattle there are taken care of. Not surprising to me now having spent a couple of years living in Japan on and off but still pretty amazing.
Paolo, I have to say that I truly enjoy this series of different jobs in Japan. I watch them on repeat bcs it´s not only educational but relaxing as well. I hope you won´t stop with this series of yours. Many of us love it.
I randomly had a strong interest in seeing how rice is farmed, and thought it would be lovely to see you do an episode surrounding that Paolo! Love your videos.
If any of u are interested whats an agricultural school like or how it is like in Japan I recommend u watch "Gin no saji" or " Silver spoon". A super chill and laid back anime where a kid studies in an agricultural school.
This is done similar everywhere - also in Europe the cows get it straight on the face. I think it is because they are already so anxious to get food, that they block the space with their heads and if you put it somewhere else they would not be able to reach it anymore :D
My grandfather was a dairy farmer who belonged to a cooperative in the local market. He once too me to market in this isolated area. I remember he gave my bid of twenty-five cents for a cardboard box of puzzles. I remember doing those puzzles in the cold and snowed in conditions in upper state New York. Lovely family remembrance.
As a volunteer cattle and sheep farmer on my family's 20 acre lifestyle block, I found this episode to be one of the best, and you've done some good ones in the past! How I'd love to have some of the "toys" Ryuji and his family have access to! It's all pretty much manual labour for me. That said, when the cattle are on the farm here, I only have to keep an eye on them most of the time, since they just forage in the fields on their own (except when droughts arrive, then it's feeding out 3-4 times a day... by hand... with no machinery...). Ryuji's cattle are fine-looking animals, and he sure does have the touch of handling such big beasts. I get nervous dealing with heifers or steers once they pass the 200kg mark, as I know what it feels like to be trodden on by one of them. Ouch. Fortunately, my family moves its cattle on to the sales around the 450kg mark, so I don't have to deal with the "car on 4 hooves" that Ryuji does, ha ha. What a difference it makes having the animals penned, though - makes them much more docile and manageable. When cattle are in the open fields, they get a very "independent attitude" happening, which makes shifting them, without dogs mind you, quite the challenge. The only disappointing thing I found in the whole video was seeing Ryuji and his GF puffing away like chimneys on their "ciggies". I know smoking is still a lot more prevalent in Asian countries than most western ones, but it still felt a bit of a "let down" to see two young people destroying their lungs, while working in the countryside, with those vile "cancer sticks". Maybe he'll wake up one day and "learn" how much damage tar and smoke does to his lungs, before it's too late.
Wow! as always Paolo serving us premium quality video! It really amazes me how Japanese are so humble and hard worker even tho they are the owner of the said company. Not to mention very hands-on in everything regarding their business. And they even have a restaurant! Thank you again Paolo for such an educational video. There are a lot of people who are copying your series. But you are still and will always be the best!
I wouldn't be surprised if the next one would be: A day in the life of an alien species on their home planet. Paulo: 'while they are in a meeting discussing how to invade earth, let's take a look at their planet'.
Aliens aka demons/fallen angels exists and the us govt has been in contact w/ these extraterrestrial for decades. Military checkpoints will be set up on us interstates for covid vaccination certification. Camps will be activated. Police state is coming. New world order led by obama and pope francis is coming. Wow, this reminds me of the cattle auction I went to with my Grandpa when I was small, in South Africa. Amazing to see the similarities, but also the modernisations.
Your videos aren't annoying and very informative and get to the point without waiting my time. I actually really wanted to learn about this and you delivered.
Paolo is regressing across the food production chain. First it was Chef then the Butcher now the Farmer? In a few episodes he's gonna be interviewing the Sun and then God himself lol.
WOW good for him for discovering his passion so early! That's really amazing, and the fact that he's so interested about everything just makes it better.
I love how farming, no matter where you are, isn't just a job, but a way of life. When he said he never has time off I felt that, growing up on a farm, its a choice and lifestyle you embrace fully and all of yourself and time. This was really neat to watch.
I worked on a German farm for a while and if you take care of your cows they actually don't smell that much at all. Their dung is pretty inoffensive due to their diet and if they're in a good environment that's kept clean you won't have many problems. As strong as they are, they're very docile animals, so they were probably my favourite to take care of.
Every episode of "Day in The Life" shows the Japanese's work ethic. I'm not saying it's neccessarily good to work this much and have so little free time but us in the West should be a little more grateful our days aren't as long (myself included) :)
This was awesome! Ryuji is a real life Hachiken! I have so much respect for him. Doing this everyday takes a lot of physical and mental strength. Cheers!

The amount of pride and respect the Japanese have for one another is amazing. Makes me want to live there
Bro, Japan has the highest percentage of suicides in the entire 1st world. It's all a façade.
They're full
If you’re bowing to everyone 5 times do you have respect or do you just have a weird habit with no meaning behind it. You can’t tell really.
Japan is one of the most xenophobic places around. Unfortuantely, not really a place for the rest of us.
As an Iowa farmer. It’s weird to me that he doesn’t live on the farm. What if something happens to your cows and your not there? But this is very interesting to see how other people farm.
My guess is his dad, who still runs the business, lives on the farm. Maybe in the future Ryuji will live on the farm.
I was looking for a farmer from somewhere like Iowa
When you no longer live in the farm, that's the sign that you have made it

I love this series of a day in the life, especially how Japanese are so proud of the work they have, even though they are not CEO of big companies or work in corporations. I hope I see these kind of content in the Philippines as well, instead of seeing pranks, unending unboxing, and home tours. Kudos Paolo!
As a veterinarian I love this episode
i almost thought you said “vegetarian”
Having often spent my summer holidays visiting my uncles organic farm in Cyprus I can tell you that the cleanliness of those premises is exceptional. It really amazes me how well the cattle there are taken care of. Not surprising to me now having spent a couple of years living in Japan on and off but still pretty amazing.
Paolo, I have to say that I truly enjoy this series of different jobs in Japan. I watch them on repeat bcs it´s not only educational but relaxing as well. I hope you won´t stop with this series of yours. Many of us love it.

This is done similar everywhere - also in Europe the cows get it straight on the face. I think it is because they are already so anxious to get food, that they block the space with their heads and if you put it somewhere else they would not be able to reach it anymore :D

The people of japanese have so much respect and pride in everything they do. Love it
As a volunteer cattle and sheep farmer on my family's 20 acre lifestyle block, I found this episode to be one of the best, and you've done some good ones in the past!
