But as Bjorn from PB said ''Working on Gothic again would be like shutting ourselves in a closet''. I liked Elex though, but Gothic was the essence of that studio.
Thats the good thing about getting older. You will reach a point, where history will repeat it self. This looks incredible promising. We don't need a unnecessarily complicated combat system, keep it simple and make it look good and i can totally see that here. I'm really looking forward to see more about magic and spells.
2:48 the goblins look pretty damn menacing ngl. Also the armors look very good. I hope that the remake will improve the forging aspect, allowing us to craft armor parts and maybe introduce set armor schematics. Don't get me wrong I like the original design on how armor was granted but I also hope this aspect gets an overhaul.
At 1:37, I really hope that they get rid of that "rain drops on the lens" effect. It makes absolutely no sense and, as a result, pulls me out of the game.
5:05 if i remember correctly, there was a mission from Lares in the original that you were supposed to steal some equipment/goods from a cart that was going to the old camp from the old mine
In the original you gave the convoy list to Lares who changed it, then they attacked it off-screen. Looks like this time we can take part in the attack or protection of the convoy?
honestly they overdid it with all brown world. there is no red here for old camp not blue for new camp no green for leafs... i dont know but original had colors in it. but it seems majority wanted this. oh well.
I liked the for honor fighting system, we need more of it, but if it is to have a slow combat system, yeah maybe not. This system is amazing only if mixed with fast button pressing and actions/reactions
I'd still like if the new camp was blue like in the original and the old camp, due to the lighting, red and brownish since it fits the armors. no complaints about the swamp camp since it fits the old atmosphere very well, the only timeg missing are the ore lanters that made it look blue/purple at night making it different from both the old and new camp. scavangers should be changed to be more birdlike and waran should also be changed a bit to not look like an alligator since im sure a lot of people want to see it in a gothic 2 notr remake in jharkendar as well as the jaguar and other new animals. also one of the new creatures at 12:22 look like the 89 godzilla if no one noticed it already. tbh the remake is doing better than before and hopefully remodels some creatures to look more like something from the original game, that does not mean it has to be a blatant copy. but come on the scavangers look like armless raptors and closer to something from ark. the snappers look alright even though they didnt really show a closeup of them. orks look too humanoid making them look like overy other ork you can find in any tv series. goblins look more like mini demons instead of those in gothic 1 yet not to big of a problem though id like it if they make them look more related to the original (yet not a full copy of course this isnt a remaster but a remake). they can change stuff yet atleast let them be recognized and connected with the originals which the scavanger fails at by not looking at all close to a featherless bird. (even worse is the fire demon one. if is for the one in xardas tower it still looks way to overused of a design one could say it was from doom eternal).
3:45 i see destroyed tower moved to another corner. damn those walls look so thin... no wonder its all ruined now. and it seems wall has no battlements. ouch... thats bad.
That's not what they mean, barrier wasn't showing at all times, like in the original they meant sky in general, but still doesn't matter being that colors even with the sun are good

As long as the magic is decent and it is devoid of woke nonsense, I’ll pick it up. It’d be nice if there was some tasteful nudity but we can’t have everything, maybe mods can fix it like they did for Skyrim and for Witcher.
In our country there is quite a discussion about orcs. Many people are not satisfied with their appearance. Green, bald which is the classic orc from the world of fanatasy such as WoW for example. The second issue is the strange appearance of the armor of this armored orc. However, everything else looks pretty good. The most important things are the exploration and the world design. Piranha has designed its worlds very well in the Gothic series. It seems to me that we don't need to worry about that. What worries is the Polish dubbing. Rather, it will no longer be as legendary as the one from the original Gothic. We'll see. Thanks for analysis. Really like this type of videos. PS: It's worth trying Gothic in Polish! In our country Gothic and The Witcher are at the top when it comes to dubbing quality. The most important thing is not to check the Polish version of Dying Light. I haven't laughed so much at the low quality of the dubbing in a long time! ;D

Loving the resurgence in Gothic with the remake. Hope it will do well so we can get a Gothic 2 remake as well.
I bought collector's edition after seeing this trailer. It assured me that development is in advanced state and I really like what I see
