Bruh, the online Multiplayer IS the way you play local, minus the way the world reacts. A thrown shell could not hurt you, but you can still play with them in the same way you play with local friends, minus that you are forced to play the same stage at the same time. Arguably, this option is even better!
I don’t think we watched the same direct because the local was clearly about working through the level together while the online was about racing your friends without being able to interact with them in the level. I personally wish there was an option for both.
@@NintendoNovice Oh no, you cannot interact with your friends local either. Watch more gameplay, you cannot pick up friends or bump on their heads, with the exception of Yoshi. Otherwise, it is the same way you play, but that you are free to move wherever
@@Taraku43 upon closer observation, you’re right. I’m not sure how much I like this though. I think part of the fun can be bumping and interacting with each other. I do rescind my argument about the online being much different than the local though. Appreciate the feedback!
I'd like to counter argue against your online claims for Mario Wonder. In wonder, playing with your friends online isn't actually TOO different from normal. Realistically the ONLY difference is that the games multiplayer is less chaotic and MUCH MORE FOCUSED. Some may prefer the old multiplayer, HOWEVER, when you consider the fact that Nintendo doesn't have to focus on making their levels more multiplayer focused like they did in Wii and U, allows for the levels to in turn, be much more focused. To summarize, the multiplayer shouldn't be much different compared to how it was originally. And hey, anything with a smoother lag free experience is definitely something to consider too!
You have a really good point. I’ve been reconsidering my stance. It turns out in the local your ability to bump and interact with other players is limited too. I do wish we had the option of having it the old way, but I can see the appeal of this less clunky multiplayer experience.
@@NintendoNovice Dw about it lol, in honesty I had basically the same response on my first viewing but from a second point of view its honestly not that bad. Really hyped for Wonder can't wait to get it day 1 :0
