Damn, 03:19 felt personal. Used to be 78kg and 9.4%bf (only 178cm talk) in my early 20s. Had kids and really let it go. 83kg now and don’t even want to know the bf%. Now 30 yrs old. 4 weeks back into consistent training now and feeling great, these daily vids are such a motivator. And the growth of this channel is absolutely mental!
I am transitioning from powerlifting to bodybuilding. Well, there was a year period where I was boxing, and a year and a half of a depression where I did nothing and recovering from tearing a bicep at work. Been back at it for 5 months now, it comes back so quick dude. It’s going to blow your mind. Proud of you. It’s not easy coming back. Keep it up.

I did 2 years of calithenics and weights at home and right as i was about to get front lever , pistol squat, and just unlocked muscle-up i had a long-time low back issue flare up like a mofo from my job. 2 months unbearable pain from discs and nerves. another 3 or 4 months of recovery and endless physio and needles and now I'm sitting here bigger stronger and better than before i lost about a year of progress. Makes me so emotional to think about cause i actually contemplated ending it. Doing my best to hopefully never go back to that

Sam just motivates me to keep going to the gym, only reason I watch his videos is for motivation. The talks help me out just as much as watching him train. I’m 17 years old 172cm I recently bulked to 78kg and now I’m on a cut currently 73-74kg. Kinda stressing because I don’t want to lose muscle mass I get bulky easily because I’m not that tall but I try to put as much protein as I can in my body everyday.
You should add one or two carb backloading (cheat days) to help you in the long term, if you want. I do that and it's very effective at keeping muscle and strength while cutting, it keeps me interested in eating for the cut during the weeks.
This video of Sam helped me push out the first male born baby! It was tough being aged 180 and in trt but Sam and I made it happen. Babies name is Jesus in Mexican.

Started the year at 259lbs, today's weigh-in was 192lbs. Started hitting the gym again about a month ago after about a 7 year break. Have been on a plateau fluctuating between 195-192 for about 2 weeks. Some of that is probably body recomp but I still need to lose 15-20 pounds of fat until I hit my goal. Just started watching these videos and it's exactly what I needed to hear. Trust the process, dial in the diet, no excuses and no lying to yourself. And no more cardio excuses, DO IT.
It’s important to note that body recomposition is a real thing if all the necessary conditions are met. It typically only happens when you have more body fat, you can cut your calories blow maintenance and still build muscle if you eat enough protein. Your body will use its fat stores plus extra calories for daily energy and the protein to build muscle. It’s something your body does naturally and you really have no control over it other than what you eat, and will only last for so long, it’s not as noticeable with experienced lifters because it’s such a small difference. You get better results with normal bulk and cutting phases.
