However its spring/summer and I generally get the fashion bug so I start creating clothing.
Im feeling had I done this exercise in the Fall/Winter my answers would probably have been very different leaning more towards travel and healing.

I'm turning 18 in a few weeks and I'm a bit worried about what I actually want to do as throughout my life I've been jumping from one thing to another. Incase anyone would like more templates, here are some I thought of when doing this:
-4 ways you'll know you succeeded in life
-4 things that make your soul smile
-4 of your biggest worries
-4 of your greatest accomplishments/contributions/memories
-4 of your favorite qualities/talents in yourself

-4 reasons why you've doubted yourself/stopped progressing with something

So for the last one you suggested, I'm curious for an example of what kind of thing you put and how you group that at the end of the exercise. Like your interest in X stopped you doing Y and does that end up grouped with X or Y?
@@VioletEmerald if going by the previous point of motivation as an example, I see it more as an internal thing - things like fear of rejection, fear of being alone, or like desires for certain negative things that are too strong (addictions, people pleasing, etc.)

Thanks for sharing your advice. What you have described is a typical experience for many adults with ADHD. Adults who have ADHD are often extremely creative, passionate and drawn to a range of creative pursuits. One trick I learned for those irresistable ideas that I encounter and want to explore, is to write about them in my journal and build pinterest boards around the topic, or RUclips playlists. It's fun to dabble, but beware of investing too much cash / time / emotional investment in a project that you will only abandon a few weeks later. I have learned that my passion for the less important things wanes after a while, but the core passion areas remain.
I'm looking forward to working through the activities tonight when I have some uninterrupted time.
Thank you for sharing this. I have ADHD and have had many creative pursuits that seem to always fall flat. There is it that one thing that I'm always drawn back to, which is typically the thread that keeps many of my creative pursuits together before the fall flat. I recently started using the journal method and it has helped. I love the idea of creating of pinterest boards and youtube playlists. Sometimes just get the ideas out help to soothe my urgency of trying to accomplish them in the moment. Anyways, I'm really glad you brought ADHD up because before my diagnosis I was really hard on myself. Now I'm putting all of the pieces together.

same, time blocking is my friend
i'm turning 26 this year and i'm thinking about my "calling" everyday. i zone out often and gets really confused. i have this unreasonable fear of failure that i might not succeed. i'm going to this exercise now, thank you for this direction you're giving.. at least now i know what to do first and especially asking the right questions.❤

As someone a bit older, well a few decades older, may I offer that your calling can change throughout your life. At least that has been my experience. For me and a few others I know my 20s were definitely a period of getting my adulthood started and exploring work (and my young family). Every decade after that has been a deepening in self-understanding *and* some slight shifts in my interests and either a new angle in my calling, as you say, or a different direction entirely. All this to say it’s okay to explore what you want and is meaningful to you now. I hope you enjoy your current path into life!
@DynaGirl2000, I 💯 agree with you! what you want now in your life is important to know and focus on, but also know that as we grow, we change. Our likes/dislikes change, our priorities change, etc. It is important to be focused, but at the same time be adaptable.

God's timing is perfect! This morning, I journaled, When you feel motivated, inspired, & ready to run at full speed towards your goals, Stop and slow down because the enemy will use your excitement to bombard you into doing absolutely nothing... This feels like a full circle moment watching this because as I get ready for bed, I'm ending the night learning how to actively slow down and focus on what's most important right now.
To the multidimensional creatives out there, whatever it is you choose to hone in on is going to be out of this world! I believe in us. 🥰

Thank you! I did the exercise feeling slightly doubtful but in the end I got 3 things that stood our above others. The one card pile topics are now on the back burner and I'm back focusing on my healing journey, through gardening and illustration,, and I can vlog about it which ties it all in.. !! It just made sense!🙌

I also can feel that coming into fruition for me. It’s been a severe case of freezing up in my life bc I can’t tell where to go and where to focus, which then I manifested depressive tendencies. What in the world girrrrll I was supposed to see this video. I am 93 percent sure of what pathway I wish to take but I struggle with being multi passionate! Haven’t watched the vid yet tho lol! The title just screamed at me. Also I have to remind myself that I can do everything I enjoy as long as it makes sense on my journey, it’s also about which passions may have their best timing for me now or later. That has been really helpful to get out of my head. One things for sure, thinking too much can wear us out and move us to take no action at all- and a little action here and there weekly is better than no action at all!

As a self diagnosed neurodivergent person, instructions not fully clear, I gave the responses related in general to my life and not specifically in career so more than couple don’t relate or have connection 😅
I thought I was alone as I was not able to recognise, In my case I made a group of 3 for a career around art 3 for a career around sustainability 2 my spirituality 2 for relationship and rest was all general that applied to more than 2 groups.. I am still confused

I prayed about this because I’ve had many ventures. God told me to be still. I spent a year studying the Bible and praying. However, I still need to fulfill my spirit’s desire to TEACH others. About what? That’s the thing, I’m too knowledgeable. Let’s see where I stand after watching this video!
It is not easy to be still, even when you know it is what God wants you to do. Everything you need for life is given through your relationship with Him. He will reveal the next steps. Remember that we first must learn to abide and then we bear fruit. God is more concerned with the posture of your heart then what you do for Him. The knowledge you are gaining in this season must be tested before you dispense it to others. Teachers are held to a higher standard. You have done well to wait for His voice. Well done.

I'm so happy I came across this video because I am definitely at a point in my life where I have so many things that I want to do and I start but don't see them all the way through because I shift my attention to something else. I am very excited about the exercise, I will do it after meditation. But I love the way you speak and how authentic you are. I could relate to a lot of what you said and am excited for more videos!
