The God who created the universe, who created you, who sent His son Jesus to die on a cross for you and rose again from the grave, that same amazing God loves you and wants to take care of you. I was a sculptor, also with oven baked clays, of course my sculps were slightly larger at 1/6 scale, mostly Marvel/DC. It took me a week to create one-of-a-kind art pieces. I tried to sell but couldn't find the audience willing to pay for my time. I progressed into cake decorating with modeling chocolate and have killed it in that area. Sometimes you have to tweak your talent to meet the needs of your audience. Thank you for showing me it could be done......

I loved the vid, but be careful everyone. The "learn as you go" route can land you in a lot of hot water if you're not someone who keeps track of every single purchase/expense/sale, and even if your state has regulations against certain things. A lot of times you have to register your business name with your state or file certain forms to allow you to sell in person or online (and yes, selling in person vs online are two separate things with different forms). Please do your research before opening up your own personal finances to liability and the possibility of problems with the IRS when tax season is upon you and you have no clue what you're doing. This lady has a whole agency to help her so that might be why she brushed over it as a non-issue, but please please do the research in terms of legality and taxes because it only takes one irate customer to bankrupt you. Goodness forbid you sell a small item without any warnings, a kid chokes on it, and now you're open to being sued and are responsible for the harm caused. Call your state and local tax offices and ask questions if you can't find the answers you're looking for online!

I had the same thought. I have a small business and live in Germany. Without research, I would have a lot of legal problems. I also have to have a packaging license just to send out orders. Also, as a business, I am not allowed to use every trendy sound on Instagram as well. There was quite a lot of research I had to do. But it pays off. Now I can make art without worrying about any legal things since I took care of it in the beginning.

So many golden nuggets to get from. 1) being original & not worry about trends 2) getting rid of old so called "friends" 3) embracing fear...Last but not least...you were being productive while filming. Sister you rock! : )

I, as a watcher, cannot stand trends so I don’t bother w them in any of my work. I don’t have a YT channel or anything, so Indont have to compete that way. But makes me proud of Tammy because she doesn’t feel the need to get sucked into that garbage. So much of it ruins the fun and enjoyment and contentment and purpose of creation and sharing.

Your video was so calming and was like the reassurance I needed to just start, nomatter what stage you're at, without overcomplicating things. It was also so so nice to see your old videos, because it shows you don't need the 4k perfect lighting setup to begin, you can always get to that later if you want and "learn as you go"

Thank you so much for this video, your advice are really on point. I've been very depressed about art lately because of the way the world has been especially unkind to artists. I've been trying to get a more positive world view even if it's hard and you really help in this and inspire! I'll finally open my small shop this year and I'm excited.

I just wanted to say this video, and several that you've made have really given me hope. I truly feel inspired. I've had a small wire art jewelry hobby business for a few years. Now I'm at a point that I'm going to make it full time because of life circumstances. I've had a lot doubts and fears, and I'm so happy to come across your uplifting and inspiring video today. Wishing you much success as your journey continues!

i love seeing artists growing and thriving on the art they are passionate about, especially nowadays. I woke up today feeling a little doomer about it all (as I am also an artist and things are a bit tough for us right now), but your video was a soothing breath of fresh air. people want genuine art and to support artists they love - I was reminded of that through you. thank you for this video and for your work!

Thank you for this video. This video was recommended to me and is the first video of yours that I am watching. To say that I needed this advice is an understatement. I’m starting to step out into my creative power and it’s kind of scary how all the pieces are coming together. I nearly chickened out, but I’m in need of a creative outlet and creative community. What stuck out to me most was treating the work like a passion project. I love that. Thank you so much for making me feel less anxious about stepping out. You were really talking to me also when you mentioned not over researching.

Your advice is extremely valuable to me right now. I have long wanted to make art, not just as a part time, but as a means to live. I don't think I could ever be completely happy working a 9-5. It terrifies me. But your words have sparked hope for me. I thank you for that truly. Don't give up on your dreams, everyone. Live. Breathe it in, and don't be afraid to make those scary leaps.

Thanks for sharing this! I recognize you from a few markets in CO- so this is is even more exciting. I just started thinking about doing a passion project and selling some of my of the products. Hearing you break down pricing make me feel better because I already feel discouraged about people thinking of my product being too expensive. I am just starting out, so this gave me hope that I just haven't found my audience yet. Happy making!
