Hey man. I’m enjoying it. Pretty much as expected. Really only time it’s tough is when making a three point turn where you need lots of steering input and you’re not really moving. Parking lots you just plan ahead and you’re smooth sailing. I need to dial in my tie rods a little more. The toe is set and it drives straight but I have more box to the left than I do to the right. I didn’t realize the rack is mounted slightly off center in the car so I ended up a little off from my settings on the bench. I need to build a rudimentary fixture to measure steering angle to correct this but, I’ve been daily driving it the way it is for a month or so with no issues.
@@tims_4x4_garage nice! Was talking to the guy who makes the racks today. May grab one, but for now got the 015 OE rack I’m gonna try out. So will throw that in while I’m swapping the NA brakes for turbo.
When you did the steering wheel swap originally, did you have an airbag wheel? My 87 does and I am reading the threads and trying to arrange a workable solution that keeps a functional horn, but the pictures are lacking and I find no video on RUclips. Any help?
i dont understand the problem many people have... when driving i look at the orange hands, not to much at the values. arent you guys able to read a watch or a clock without markers? if not ouch..

Woah why does your car idle so low? Maybe I have an issue with the idle air control valve?
The proper idle speed is 840 +/- 20 rpm my car had lazy gauges that showed a little less than actual on all the gauges
So how’s the manual steering feel?
