In this video, I go over the song Time In A Bottle by Jim Croce. I spend a lot of time on the poetry of this song because in verse 3, the writing is exceptionally good and complex. Time In A Bottle by Jim Croce is a song I've been a fan of for a long time, and in this video I do a deep poetry analysis of one of the verses. I know I am late to this conversation, but I need to correct a misconception. He wrote this in December of 1970 when his wife TOLD him she was pregnant. His son was not born until 1971. Although, the song was not released until 1972 the song was to his wife, not his son.

Off topic... Please consider Sia's "Courage to Change". She did my recommendation of an Elvis Presley song. So did others recently. I feel things are drastically going to change. The world needs more insight of what you have to offer. Sia is somewhat in a predicament, but I'm in no way affiliated, nor promoting. Just it's a good song and think it's something you can work with your talent. Thanks. (PS. If you see this song more often, you'll know you have made an impact)

@@alexgenadinikmusicandpoetr1012 yes, but I'm in no way do have your insight. I was into music, however not poetry. I'm not sure I could be of much assistance. But if possible, I'd be willing.
The poetry in the song is pretty simplistic - it's kind of just words of encouragement. The thing about Sia is that she can read the dictionary and make it sound beautiful :) My music tends to be lyrics heavy. So I am not 100% sure what insight I can add to her. She just has an amazing sound. I'll give that song more thought.
