it's so satisfying to see someone who understands the true naughty nature of spellweaver:)
she was my first one, and I joined the game being the last one in the party, my friends were a bit more high leveled and experienced, so I picked her, she seemed decent and like a lot of fun at the start, and just to get into things quick I decided to check some guides and tips. and oh god, I was so dissapointed of all these 'play her safe, try to avoid using lost cards, be careful, stay behind the backs of your friends, blah blah blah', and my friends were hinting that I should do some healing and stuff. and I was like, no that's clearly not what I'm going to do. I don't want a some shy princess who's afraid of mice, I want a bad ass bitch, as crazy and cruel as possible.
and actually it worked. well, took some time to get used to and to figured out some tricky moments, but in the end I think my team even started to hate me a little, cuz of a neverending elemental gorefest she was creating. and we had a pretty skilful scoundrel who wasn't that successeful with killing as much enemies:) I guess some people just don't understand her and feel it that way, even tho it's very simple - move and kill as fast as you can. maybe it's a bit intense in a way, but I enjoyed it so much so kept playing her even when others decided to swap characters. and again she was quite good, elementalist I think felt in love with her cuz of chromatic explosion and all the sinergy (tho we had some issues from time to time, but who wouldn't having an elementalist, right?:)
sometimes I even combined frost armor and cold front, using cloak of invinsibility, when I knew I will have to suffer a lot of attacks, sometimes rocket boots were really helpful with the lack of speed, sometimes war hammer and inferno were just the only thing we needed to clean a certain room.
so yeah, she's extremely fun to play if you're into some fast, furious and agressive (but a bit reckless) style of playing, pretty easy to learn and very flexible with the group because can be a bit of a tank if needs, may do a decent healing in a critical moment and just one of the best as a crazy crowd killer being in a full party of 4. thanx a lot for sharing your thoughts, was really nice to check it and compare to mine
ps. sorry for mistakes or typos, it's not my native language:)

hahaha love it, a naughty spellweaver! Was my first class too and you're right on the money; playing her a bit more aggressively is better and a lot more fun! Thanks for watching and commenting and btw your english is very good!

You don't get frost armor back if you use it before reviving ether unfortunately. I wish you did. But the effect waits for the card to actually block 2 attacks, before it goes to the burned pile pool which reviving ether pulls from. At least in the pc version that is.

I played Spellweaver with Eagle Goggles, Power Potion, and an target and Power upgrade on the Fire Orbs. So due to your From the Ether card, I could, twice per game, hit 4 enemies with advantage for as much 5 - 6 damage and get 4 experience for it every time. It was ridiculous

    Hey
    Nice vid. Enjoyed watching it.
    Some small "tips" (my opinions/wishes)
-make those cards a bit bigger (for small screens like my tablet)
-let those cards be live longer as for someone who hasnt seen them before they are quite interesting and might take a moment to fully process)
-kinda overview for which cards end up in your adventures (loadout-like)
    Cheers

Thanks, i think that was my first guide! If you check my most recent guides card sizes have been increased quite a bit. Also I do have a couple of builds where I show exactly what cards to take, one for Mind Thief and one for the Spellweaver so go ahead and check those out! Thanks so much for commenting and, if you haven't already, please consider subscribing, as I have a lot more content coming up!!

I am playing the Spellweaver as my first play through and have completed 4 scenarios so far. I really enjoyed your guide and I highly recommend it! I disagreed with you twice but that's OK...healthy debate keeps the brain active :)
    My first disagreement was:
    1. Ride the Wind - you get to play it twice due to Reviving Ether. That's 16 hexes of movement. This card alone ensured the successful conclusion of two out of the four scenarios that I played (#3 and #69). Sometimes the characters just cannot get somewhere fast enough - this card takes you where you need to go like a jet
    2. Icy blast - AoE of 7! Of course you will never get seven enemies to line up that way, but imagine if you could get just 3 or 4. That's an Attack 2 (and using goggles probably more) which also creates muddle on their attacks. Bonus that it creates freezing AND gives 2 EXP (4 EXP if you use it again with Reviving Ether). With one card play, and assume you could hit 4 enemies, that is 2-3 points per enemy...possibly a total of 10-12 points. Massive!
Thanks for your videos. I have you on subscribe and I very much enjoy your style of presentation

I used Icy Blast the other day +1 attack from my fellow Quartermaster +1 from potion + goggles in the first room of our scenario going late after a mob of 6 that somehow miraculously gathered towards us and completely wiped them all out in our first turn along with a token in the corner! Everyone playing including me was utterly dumbfounded to find just how powerful a correct spell shines at the right moment and what a powerhouse the character is. Totally in love with Spellweaver!

Lol Spirit of Doom is awesome. Two full heals with infinite range drastically alters how other classes are able to play, and if you dont need the big heal the ability to delete an enemy is also good.

Very nice (good also) content. You and RageBagders got me into Gloomhaven world, few days ago bought Jaws of the Lion, can't wait to play it. I think your website is also very good and would like (if it's not already) to find the link to it in every video description.
And now, the question (alert, noob question): can you explain the bottom half of "Chromatic Explosion"? Move 2 with a symbol for all elements (does this infuses all elements...?)

Ya except MT usually wants to use that ice! Nova is pretty situationally powerful when used properly it's just awkward for most SW builds!
