- Steven Universe Future paves way for many characters to return via Homeworld's Era 3 Rebellion, which seems to be a movement orchestrated by Jasper. While Aquamarine, Eyeball and two brand new Lapis Lazuli's seem to be onboard, what other returning gems and new Homeworld gems can we expect to see?

@@PinguinodelRio Yes, but it does not mean that they couldn't tie it organically to the show, that it would make sence to all audience. Like, you know, they could say that not every unboubbled gem wanted to stay on Earth, just like Jasper did, and then introduce her as some kind of side character. I just really think it would be a waste of good potential character, that could for excample make new storyline for our Peridot, since she is kinda just comic relief now.

Aquamarine is the only homeworld gem that a crystal gem or a branch of the Crystal gems the off colors might as well be has been unable to harm or poof infact the only gem we see come even close to proofing aquamarine is topaz.

I think that most of these gems would join because they feel like they don’t have a purpose I can imagine Steven helping them finding a propuse

I completely forgot about Emerald, Morganite, and the Zircons.
I am really hoping that SU:Future will have at the very least 2 seasons, I know that the crewniverse probably can’t afford to do that will budget issues, tight release schedules and Zach Callison leaving the crew very soon but I still have hope for this epilogue series.
There are so much in the original SU
show that we didn’t get to see and this new series could be the solution. If this series will only get 1 season then I’m afraid that it’ll repeat the same mistake from the original series which is trying to get too much done in a short amount of time and making episodes feel rushed.
Just think about it, the villains alone in the opening intro shows a lot of potential for story telling elements and giving us a better understanding of the universe of SU. If the whole series is just 1 season( which is roughly around 20-30 episodes or so) then the crewniverse will be forced to limit the screen time for each of the villains. Then it might mean the story and character development in them might feel rushed and won’t feel as genuine as if it were to be spread out across multiple episodes.
I also don’t want the new epilogue to just be plot-driven as there are gonna be like 6 new villains and with no break episodes in between, it’ll feel very very tiring to be done with one villain and have to deal with another in the next episode. I want there to be some slice of life episodes like the original series so things can cool down a bit before engaging in another villain attack or something.
Not to mention that the crewniverse is trying to tie up loose ends and there are A LOT of those in the original show so 1 season will definitely not be enough if they are gonna share the limelight with all the new villains.
All in all, I want the SU series to go off with a bang and the series finale of “Change Your Mind” was controversial to say the least. Which is why I hope that SU:Future will be much better and have at least 2 seasons if they want to be ambitious with the plot and story.

Well if you think about it, this was already explored in Save the Light. With both Demaintoid and Hessanite. After era 3 they both tried to establish a new monarchy with themselves at its center. And with Future wrapping up next month, I highly doubt that this plot line will be explored in the series.

@@FelipeSouza-gb7yf No not all gems are antagonists. I was just looking at the way they were drawn and how they looked in terms of expression, not to say they are antagonistic. Also i would think that thee jades would be more shoked than the sapphires due to the dact that one of them wanted to fuse and then later fused. Perhaps the others or some of the orhers posibbly fused at one point hence why they looked shocked rather than disgusted. Sapphire on the other hand are high ranking and do not need to fuse. They wouldn't see fussion as a necessity and probably loathe the idea and will not fuse as a result.

My theory is that the worm like alien is in fact mind controlling the rebellion and white diamond is also there meaning she has been corrupted and then mindcontrolled or it has something to do with Her being off colour. Even if my theory is wrong then why did jasper even start this rebellion despite yellow diamonds obvious orders?
Plot twist: Navy is the mastermind behind the rebellion, Jasper is just a puppet leader.
The more I think about it I really wanted a nonspeaking part of our aquamarine coming over and whispering to Blue D and then just staring at Steven while he just looks back and gives her a death stare (I wanted this to happen during Diamond days)
I’m curious if by the time of begging of the 3 era there was any other rebel groups that crystal gems , and if there are how would they react toward it, as they might see it as opportunity to get they’re revenge on diamonds and whole system which force them to hide.

Maybe eyeball is fused with aquamarine then the 4 remaining rubies is with the mayor of the beach city(sorry can't remember the name)because in the new intro 4 rubies is guarding the mayor.
White Diamond in the opening is a fusion. They only highlight the eyes mouths and gems of other things in that frame, and white diamond's nose is lit up, and shares a shape with jasper's, which leads me to think it might be a fusion with jasper, but that's only a guess.
I would call evil Crystal Gems "Prill Nuggets" or something like that.

We can see that 4 of the rubies are guarding Major Nanefua in the background of the new theme.
Maybe the worm dude is a gigantic fusion of a bunch of gems like Fluorite? Jasper could convince them to all fuse and then they would be "unstoppable"

Hessonite is also inevitable because again, status loss and previously fighting steven in save the light. also the "save the light" hessonite was seen in cannon show when centi was showing steven what happened durring the war through drawings. It is also shown that Garnet has had a encounter with this hessonite when steven asked who the strange gem was, garnet responds with "hessonite" implying that she has encountered with said "strange gem"
Why are you guys so quick to assume that emerald will rebel? As a villain there’s nothing been done that suggests redemption for her meanwhile the others did. If peridot only appeared in marble maddens I think you would assume that she would rebel too yeah? But look how she turned out

In toghether alone they looked more surprised than furious. Also, there might have been others that were suffering in silence at the ball too. I'm exited for the rose quartzes though. They're pretty much wild cards so there's no telling if they're going to rebel or just be really angry. They are warriors, however.

Really hope Emerald doesn't rebel so we can have her team with the off colors, would make for a interesting scene.
I remember thinking that Steven Universe was going to have the White Diamond Arc last roughly an entire season & that we would learn a lot more about Homeworld's castes. Supposedly most of the Fusions we've seen have actual nonfusion counterparts, with Garnet being suggested as not an actual Garnet. That makes me wonder what real Sugulites, Sardonyxes, Garnets, Opals, & Alexandrites look like in the series. Perhaps we'll get to see Pyrites that were referenced in the last bit of Season 5.
Sapphires, Lapis Lazulis, & other Blue Gems were known for being more aristocratic. Pearls are primary servants for aristocratic gems, & there are Gems that were never actually used. It would be fun if Emerald got referred to as Chaos Emerald on the side of the Sneople. I kind of want more fusions like Lapis & Peridot, or Bismuth & a couple of formerly corrupted Crystal Gems.
Do a theory on Jasper gathering Rose Quartz soldiers that there bubbled. When bismuth was bubbled she still believed they were fighting in the gem war. Well is it possible since all these rose quartz soldiers bubble still belived they where in battle. Let's say Jaspers tricks, making the rose quartz soliders on her side. Well your probably asking how did she get to homeworld. The warp pads are back together making it eaiser for her to gather rose quartz soliders for her army. Plz read this and considered this as a theory.
Please bring back Jinx Monsoon as Emerald, Crewniverse. I would love to see the character grow more prominent 😭
One thing I want to see is like Steven walking around on home world and gems do the salute thing and seeing how he reacts
I think that, to figure out who would rebel against Era 3, we'd have to look at gems who were genuinely happy with their position (i.e. high-ranking gems) and/or are just so stuck in their previous role(s) that they are unwilling to change and be 'free' (i.e. the lowrank gems). Imagine that you've been literally bred to have a certain job/position, then all of a sudden have that taken away because someone came along and decided that it was wrong for you to be in that job/position.
Though I also have a cool theory - the Aquamarine/Ruby(?) fusion is a result of gems being forced to fuse by Homeworld itself. Imagine, in this new era it's alright to fuse. But, as a result of this, there would oviously be some gems that would either use this to their advantage (possibly Aquamarine) or face massive backlash simply because they don't want to fuse. If this is true, it'd be an allegory for so many things...it's terrifying, but very plausible especially if you look at the world today. But it does lead to the show exploring all kinds of relationships, more than they did before, and I can't wait to see what new gems/fusions will show up now.

to be honest, when steven and Connie fused on home world, then was joined by garnet and opal. the other gems didnt really seem disgusted.. more shocked than anything.
