- With many wondering how Steven Universe can hold an air of tension in its upcoming season without introducing wildly new concepts, aliens or unpredictable characters - what if the series comes full circle with Homeworld stirring it up its own rebellion against the Crystal Gems, trying to destroy the progress made in Era 3? Could Jasper, Aquamarine, Emerald, Holly Blue Agate and other antagonists return to the spotlight?

It would be quite poetic that Steven's final adventure is finding himself the Diamond enemy of another Gem rebellion caused by his own actions and others disapproving of them

His own actions? Steven's existence is cleaning up the problems Pink ran away from. Steven is just a kid who tries his best to be happy and make everyone he encounters happy. The sad part is the movie was Steven coming to terms that he'll never have a happy ending because Rose used, manipulated and indirectly killed thousands of millions of gems. Steven will never get a break from what his mom did and that's the hardest pill to swallow.
I just want more Jasper screen time in general, because I love her.

they did dove with amy and jasper. for sure first episodes start featuring her and old crystal gems. I don't buy she will rebel against Steven or the Diamonds. I doubt aquamarine/hessonite/holy blue agate have guts to step against any of Yellow/Blue/White Diamond. I can buy jasper might seek a new ally who in my theory gave spinel all the stuff in the movie. Also I believe the rejuvinator can work on Diamonds too (how dangerous would be White in her blank gem state?).

If they were to work in the Game Villain... Hessonite would be someone who would make a perfect villain with this concept and setup. Maybe even have her team up with Jasper.

Steven Universe: Save the Light is not tier 1 or 2 canon. It *is* canon. Maybe have a recap read by Steven on the website.

Sara Fontanini in one of the two endings, the mcGuffin goes with Hessonite and she uses it as a means of picking up where she left off, conquering worlds. It’s more than likely not canon, but still...

holly blue agate is more of a kissup who cares about ehr social standing than anything else and is less of a supervillain and more of a jerk, I don't think she even has any fighting skills or anythign Jasper'd want in an army

I love the idea of a reguvinated White Diamond cause it opens up the possibility of White having a hands on fight with either obsidion, Green Diamond, or a fusion of Yellow, Blue, And steven. Them using their shield to block the light blasts, while using Yellow's and Blue's newly revealed weapons.

There is also the aspect that gems were made for specific tasks, now that the empire is at peace some of those soldiers that were created specifically for war may not feel comfortable in peace and join this sort of thing.
As far as fusions go, no one saw that occurred inside white diamonds head, they did see a fusion attacking it though, so Jasper could leverage that for the fusion bit, that it would give them the power to overthrow the diamonds.
There could also be other things that bring conflict, we still have no explanation on Peridots comment when she reformed inside the temple about her worry she was to be "harvested" nor a fully explanation of the extraction blue and Yellow were doing when Steven gets called to see them on home world. It makes me wonder if something has been forcing them to expand their numbers as they have to provide some as sacrifices or something to another group even stronger then they are. Perhaps even their creators.

I honestly don't think that we would get to see a full scale war happen, mostly for the fact that Steven and the Gems would never allow things to get to that level.
