@Suri bun To add your theory, maybe she want to forget her past so she poof herself and since she is the only one who will deactivate the injector, so she poof herself in order to forget her depressing past and make the injector continue to activate at the same time since she is the only one who know how to deactivate it
Injector was just REALLY strong weed killer in the garden

Spinel: Homeworld isn't really big on plants so when Pink asked for gardening supplies the request went to the weapons division. They just remodeled a bunch of old weapons to make them shaped like gardening equipment. I also have a shovel that shoots lightning.
Steven: What about the injector?
Spinel: We had an infestation of these weird rainbow caterpillar things. Pink asked for some kind of pesticide and they made her that injector. I know I'm one to talk but I think those guys got a little overenthusiastic because it was the first time Pink asked them for anything approaching an actual weapon. I guess to them "pest" and "organic life" were synonyms. Anyway Pink decided the bugs were cute and went to show them off to the other diamonds. We just left the injector in the storeroom.

The shape of the injector was maybe carved by her (she may have used her stretchy powers to do it)
We do know there are abandoned colonies like the one from the episode of the alien moon (don't remember the name, but whatever) which could theoretically have injectors still on them..... idk about one that just so happens to have a gem on the end that HAPPENS to match Spinel's gem shape

(Yeah but in all seriousness, it looks like SU followed the typical formula of love, understanding and/or songs redeeming the villain, though in this case she did relapse once or twice. She was a little harder to redeem, but she still ended up going the same way, and our theories, or perhaps wishes, were for naught)
I really loved Spinel apart of me was hoping she won’t be redeemed I actually hope we do get a villain that isn’t redeemable cause we’re all so used to Steven solving it what’s he gonna think when he finds a villain that can’t be redeemed what’s his next step those are things I’d really like to see in the future

I noticed that pink diamond learned the bubble juggling from spinel.
Probably not.
It is likely Pink had Spinel created to be her Best Friend because her first Pearl was taken away. And in a flashback, we see both Pink Pearl and (Steven playing as) Pink Diamond juggle.
That would also explain why Spinel would call our Pearl "Pink's Pearl", rather than her /new/ Pearl. You would think if she belonged to Pink for longer than Pearl did, she would emphasise this point.
EDIT: I mean the suggestion that she was given to Pink after Pink's original Pearl was taken away makes sense

I feel like Spinel isnt done playing villan. Her going off with the diamonds is another toxic dependent mindset. The diamonds will see and compare her to pink diamond. She might “undo” the diamonds and BE pink and claim to be her or at least try to be her so she could have say over everyone and know that she wont be forgotten about if she is a “diamond”. Spinels in real life are called “Mock Gems” because kings and higher ups would use them on their clothes or jewelry and claim them to be rubies to brag about wealth and status. Spinels are literally fake wealth and status. Also The rejuvenater has to be more than a convient thrown in story plot point. I feel like the whole movie is a huge foreshadow to season 6

Also can we talk about how pearls “pink” form is just a pearl default? Like pink could have claimed pearl into the pink court but kept pearl as her default? Maybe our pearl was an intentional Alibi to pink diamond. Pink kept pearl belonging to nobody so she would have at least one Ally and convince pearl she was “saving” pearl by not claiming her. I feel like pink getting our pearl was apart of her scheme and pink had thoughts about leaving the diamonds even before she learned about earth

My biggest fear for Spinel living with the diamonds is that she is never gonna be allowed to process her trauma. The diamonds dont want to hear bad words about Pink, and Yellow agreed being made to stand in the same spot for 6000 years is nothing, unknowingly gaslighting Spinel over how upset she got and its just something she should endure.

ohhh man what if Spinel has more weapons hiding in her gem. Holding them just like Pearl does. Who knows if she brought more than one rejuvenator with her... and if she gets to a point where she wants the Diamonds to get back to how they were, either to smother her less or if she was wanting to make them think SHE is a Diamond, she's going to grow so close to them that they won't expect a scythe slicing at their ankles.

THEORY: The weapon might’ve been Pink Diamond’s to use personally and due to its color it might be hers. Pink Diamond left it behind because she believed that all gems should be free and able to live their life and not have to be emotionless all the time and Spinel found It somewhere and stored it in her gem, which leads me to another theory.
Gems that are servants (Pearls) or used simply for special requests can place things into their gems and they use those objects to perform their purposes.
Or maybe Pink just used it for gardening. It is a scythe after all

I noticed something: the rejuvenator was pink, the destabilizer was yellow, and the destabilizer was probably powered by yellow diamond’s power or something. So what if the rejuvenator was powered by pink diamond?
I don't know about that one. Steven has pink's powers. Their primary thing is healing, and emotional connection. You could take that into a VERY specific context (i.e. returning something to the way it was) but that wouldn't explain why her injector was heart shaped. Everything seems like it was made specifically for Spinel. Idk just food for thought.

But gems can change their forms without being poofed, we saw that in the episode where the Crystal gems had a beach party with the pizza family, why does every one forget that!?
From what I remember, they can shape shift, but it takes too much energy to maintain the form. [Spoiler] The episode where they celebrated Steven's birthday with the family and Connie, he was self conscious about not aging, so he stretched himself out for hours, and then his body couldn't handle it so he turned into a baby. Now that very well could be because he's also human, so it might put a bigger strain on his composition. But I think with Amethyst's reaction, it was like, "Dude even I can't pull that off for that long, you're gonna hurt yourself."
@@xchrysantha But he's extending part of his body, not changing his base appearance. And he's not entirely even a gem. Garnet explained during the episode they went into Amythest room, a gem can stay in a new form so long as it's sustainable.

@@DLxxx Amethyst was the one who pointed out that staying stretched out too long is really bad for gems. Steven even replied that it might be different for him because he's half human. I doubt that Spinel's new form is just a temporary transformation but I wouldn't be that surprised if a gem could actually reform without poofing. I imagine it just wouldn't be something they felt the need to do too often.
@@ap7635 well I mean unlike Steven forcing it, what really did she fully change? Her gem moved and she looked more angry, the rest of her is the same, and how long was she like that? With small alterations it might been like when amethyst was her wrestling persona. But I mean we also seen jasper become corrupted without a poof? And also there are many things that they haven't touched on much. Like how maybe now with Stephen changing the rules, they are free to test things that could help make these changes? Plus emotions were rather frowned upon unless you were of a certain rank. Who isnt to say that's what gave her the energy to make a form change?

Saphira Winters I recognized so many old cartoons in Spinel’s mannerisms Mickey and the teen age robot for the hair, Popeye and looney toons for the movement, sailor moon for the transformation, soul eater and cup head for the fighting. She is a love song to cartoons all rapped up in a character with extreme bipolar disorder.

So a rebellion. I'm so down for that! Bring the show full circle! Steven can feel exactly how his mother felt, like he's doing the right thing but it leads to a big war were people get hurt. It would really drive home the point that there is no right or wrong, no good guys or bad guys, just people operating on what they believe is right. This could also bring Jasper back into play, because she's the biggest Steven/Rose hater.
if something like this happened, i doubt they'd make Jasper go against Steven again, bc they seemed to make it pretty clear that Jasper forgives them now, after they healed her corruption

Theory: Pink pearl was Pink's playmate and companion but he was taken by White. In substitute, they gave her a new pearl and Spinel that's why she doesn't like Spinel that much and she got bored with Pearl at first.
Question, in the old hierarchy of Gems, where did Spinel fall? What really is a Spinel? Are they some sort of jester created for royals like how Pearls are servants and Zircon are Lawyers?
It kind of feels like Pink is literally the only gem that would be allowed and willing to have one before era 3.

the forms when the Crystal Gems regained their memories where the unused designs from the art and origins book which I thought was pretty cool.. they even snuck in Pearl's pilot look! My 11 year old caught this, I had to rewind and go back to catch it but they are there! The diamonds also reminded me of the Andrew's Sisters which I felt was perfect for them

Garnet wasn't about to poof, she was about to unfuse and Spinel isn't a fusion

I hate how so many people keep trying to defend pink diamond and keep calling spinel stupid. She was programmed to play the "game" pink wanted to play and pink told her it was a game! It's not like she wanted to stay in the garden for 6,000 years, but she was programmed to play this "game" pink wanted her to. Pink was a bad person, just face it.

I have an idea for where she got the rejuvinator. In Other Friends, when she pulls out the rejuvinator, it appears that it comes out of her gem. I believe that spinels have the potential to poof or shatter like our spinel did, so if they start to act out of line, they can easily be rejuvinated. the rejuvinator also has spinel’s gem on it.
meaning spinel had a rejuvinator inside her for 6,000+ years.

My theory is just that she broke into a military facility, got poofed, reformed, broke out with the injector and rejuvenator and then bolted.

I realised that when pearl was reforming to remember her past one of the light shapes reminded me of her original design like not the very first episode but the orginal design from pilot
Two things I actually hated about the movie:
• The Uncorrupted Crystal Gems didn’t have voice actors
• Steven got his powers back when *ACTUAL* Action was about to happen
Don't forget how there's literally NO Change Your Mind fusions, as well as no Stevonnie and barely any Connie.
Actual action is gonna happen=Nahhhh lets just have Steven Talk no Jutsu his way out of it and maybe do some singing to save the day~

If the rejuvenator is technically a factory reset for all gems, could it be used to reset corrupted gems, fixing them? ( I know it's already been solved but just a theory) also seeing that spinel can rotate her gem too, not just pink diamond, can they also relocate it? Like when diamond obtains a pearl, do they locate their Pearl to be in the same place as the diamond, or is it automatically determined where it will be?
I think that amethyst moved gem her too, because im sure it used to be near her 'neck' but now its like stevens, but i might be incorrect

Imagine if she never knew how to use it so before she could even get to Steven she accidentally hit herself with the tool and reformed all new forgetting everything
The real question isn't if she could have stolen it. It's why that stuff was even still around. Wouldn't have Steven made them destroy their colonizing equipment alongside with them disbanding their armies? I can see how she may have been able to get a rejuvenator somewhere without anyone noticing. But a ship sized injector? Wouldn't that draw massive attention?
@@tobiasbayer4866 Steven is ignorant of all that stuff. He can't tell them to destroy weapons he isn't aware of and the gems are rarely forthcoming about, well, anything. I doubt he visited every colony, too.
You should make a video about Spinel in general and how surprisingly good at Combat she is.
Also Spinel is one of the best characters ever added to the series and has quickly become one of my favorite characters if not my favorite character in the entire franchise

I would say yes giving the fact it is pretty much a factory reset and no matter how screwed up your computer is a factory reset fixes it. How ever like a factory reset for a computer it will never be the same gem. sure those 4 named main people got back to themselves but those 4 was really strong ones with the convenience of being a main character so logic says they get redone they gone.
how ever I am bringing logic into a show about lesbian space rocks made by someone that works backwards from her end goal so maybe because potatoes it will work.

I guess? Pink could shapeshift into Rose and rotate her gem without poofing, it was only the faked shattering that required her to poof so she could reform as Rose permanently.
The part in other friends said she's heard the story over and over again, which if she went to Homeworld it would make sense as she would hear the story all over since it's what the people would be talking about.

Dear Awestruckvox, former friends, make for some of the most terrible enemies. And former BEST friends make the BEST enemies. Pink D probably told Spinel all about the injector and various other things, during they play dates. Spinel used that knowledge to her advantage and took her anger out on Steven with the secrets Pink D told her.
Here's my theory:
Spinel(s), A gem with a "Perfect" cut, made for friendship, maybe arent.
My theory is that the diamonds, proir to Pink Diamond's "Shattering" had multiple Spinels.
Spinels, are made for destroying planets, yeah. hear me out.
Spinel has an Injector, Which she calls her own. So it is confirmed it was made for spinel, Or spinels. Only she can control it, as she is the only (known) gem with rubberhose animation, thus being able to make a horn out of her hand.
There is no way spinel got a custom built Injector in the span of 20 minutes, let alone a gem thought to be gone. so here's what i put together:
Spinels, made for destroying planets, have Injectors made to pump uncut pure poison into planets, and therefor slowly but surely killing them within 24 hours.
The diamonds, having no time to interact with Pink, took a spinel and "edited it" by cutting the gem into a heart shape, and then resetting it, with a purpose to entertain Pink.
However, once abandonned, and spinel realises shes been abandonned, She realises her purpose. What she was made for, as her thought of friendship is no longer there, and she remembers what she used to be.
with this, much like the abandonned garden, spinel heads to a nearby base, which houses Injectors, specifically Spinel Injectors.
When spinel looses the only emotion she knew, friendship, The only thing left is her past. Her past purpose, and what she was made to do. And she realises she has the authority, the authority of a gem so high of rank, that no one saw it in the show, to use the Injectors made for her cut.
When spinel said that she heard Stevens message to the universe on loop spinel was probably referring to how traumatic that was to her and she probably couldn’t get that out of her head
When Steven was going thru the town singing his song I realized how much the town changed and everyone in it but there was very little character development and what happened during the 2 years so I think in season 6 we will have a lot of character development
and probably a lot of flashback too. Since the chest in lion's mane is open
And it kinda conforms season 6
