Heavy penalties for bus lane violators on EDSA

- There has been a huge decrease in the number of bus lane violators, since the new penalties came into effect.
But some drivers and riders still try their luck inside the exclusive EDSA busway.
In this video you'll see some drivers or riders receiving their ₱5,000 bus lane violation.
And then you'll see a flashback to an operation that took place before the new penalties came into effect.
You can easily see the difference between how many were daring to use the bus lane before, compared to now that the new penalties came into effect. -
These bus lane violators are victims of their own foolishness and lo w-mindedness. However, they are good contributors to government funds. A big thank you to them.
Most of the violators don't pay income tax.
So this is a form of tax. Lol
And add that their license is made by fixers, 😅😂😊 without taking any theoritical exams or practical driving skills. Salute to all kamotes out there. Try the bus lane for fourth time apprehension😅😂
that government fund will be inside their pockets hahaha
@@shirogaming8721 you got it right especially now christmas is coming they need money for christmas party and other extra curricular activities. Hahaha... This will lead the way as a form of corruption.

1:45 The motorcyclist who tried to evade the enforcers is wearing a PNP issued PT uniform. He's a disgrace to our police force if he's indeed a cop.
Yes, you are 100% correct.
Unauthorized blinkers should be confiscated.
Mura lang kasi sa Shopee yan.. Dapat may penalty din ang gagamit nyan..
Trabaho ng HPG mag confiscate ng illegal accessories not MMDA...
The vehicle should be impounded for 30 days.

I love seeing accountability in the Philippines. It's a thing of a beauty.
Its a rare sight indeed.
They know they don't have a license or even a certificate but still they have the guts to violate.

Good work MMDA. Keep resilent. 👍All violator must be apprehended and given stricter penalties. We should see some license cancellation and highest penalties soon. Hope they give emphasis on it soon to show more credence on it.
Marami padin talagang pasaway
Thank you very nice for wonderful video, wort it po.
Unauthorized blinkers should seriously be considered a criminal offense under "usurpation of official functions" Article 179 of the RPC. And selling them should also be a criminal act accordingly. Both should a VERY expensive fine.
In the USA its absolutely illegal.
Good ! The various penalties should pay-off the country’s deficit! Or help contribute to the calamity funds ng Pilipinas!
this is a very good news, and an improvement to everyone enforcers and motorist. keep up covering GA!
Welcome back GA! Been looking forward for your new videos everytime.. keep it up please and be safe..i know its a terrible thing to say but watching it is satisfying.

@@axizcorp Ang pinapatupad sa Subic ay yung standard traffic rules and regulations tulad ng you must come to a COMPLETE STOP pag may "STOP" sign sa street corner. LGU's aren't exempted from obeying traffic rules set by the LTO. Rules set by the MMDA is another story. Such as the case in Makati Ciity, where number coding is implemented....no window hours.
Have you noticed there are lots of ambulances blaring their sirens during rush hours in the morning and in the afternoon? Especially those ambulances with "RESCUE" labels on them. Most of the cities/municipalities/barangays have their own "rescue/ambulance" vehicles and they use those to transport their employees to and from their offices. Mind you, they are also exempted to use EDSA bus lane. Try to flag one of them and mostly you won't see patient as a passenger. It will either be the driver only or full of employees as passengers. Most ambulance/rescue vehicle drivers are abusive knowing they are authorized to use sirens but not using it in a responsible manner.
if you flag them and they have no patient inside, they will simply tell the enforcer that they are going to respond on an accident. easy excuses
@@fabrisignfabrisign887yeah
Oh I've seen too many of this. Outside EDSA their blinkers and sirens are off, and these are suddenly turned on the moment turn into EDSA and "want" to get into the bus lane.
agreekojan
@@fabrisignfabrisign887 They should ask for the name of the driver, destination and have the MMDA office confirm from the ambulance dispatcher or the adress they were supposed to go, then they still can send a ticket to the driver.
1:25 violator based from outfit is actually a law enforcer(pnp)
Hope it will be implemented. There should be one enforcer that is ready to get chase. With motorcycle in idle and rider/enforcer ready to chase when someones trying to escape.
As I observed it took 5-10 seconds to start his motorcycle. You know pinoys mas matinik pag may kasalanan
Yes that is how it is in most other countries, because they know that in most cases if you refuse to stop then there is usually a reason like no license or registration.
This is defnitely the best gadget channel in youtube 😅
I hope as the country grows the MMDA is given the resources to enforce traffic rules all over the ccity and the Dept of Transportation can enforce it all over the country. I truly want the Philippines to be like Japan, Singapore andd the US when it comes to driving. I loved driving when i lived in the US (30+ years) but here in the Philippines its an awful experience
Right on !!! When in the US, drive like an American sweet potato. When driving in the Philippines, drive like a Pinoy kamote....
Driving here in the philippines is like driving in russia
Would be better for growth but it is expensive.. for tax payers. Better to increase fines and consequences for the meantime for the public to think twice on breaking the law.
You're correct. The amount of PNP MMDA and even firetrucks per 10KM square or 1 officer per xyz population is too small.
Anti poor po yang mentality niyo. Turo po ng simbahan ang mapagpatawad
i miss bong nebrija
*Gawin niyo 6 digit ung multa! tingan natin kung magttaka pa yan gumamit ng bus lane!*
Higher the penalty with revocation of license should be impose,
5000 plus impound
GA can you suggest to MMDA/DPWH to have a yellow/white line on the bus lane in that area since barriers are not recommended to deploy there.
I've seen a lot of vehicles using blinkers but it seems they're not confiscating it. I wonder why????
only HPG can confiscate blinkers
If they're government vehicles that's excempted then it's allowed. But they need to add markings.
If not they need to confiscate the blinkers.
The singing at the end cracked me up lol 😂
Please extend this operation. I saw some violators speeding on tunnels of megamall and cubao going north at 5pm onwards.
They need to jail runners. That will start putting a stop to that nonsense.
Yes fines do not help, because you will always get the money from somewhere to pay the fine either by borrowing it of someone or stealing to pay for it, BUT you can not get back your time that you have spent in a jail and that will make you think very hard before you will do it again. Most people then always say but we would have our jails full but no this is not true because people will not risk going to jail, so they won't break the laws for just simple things. Think about it, would you risk going to jail for a week just to drive in the bus lane to save a few minuets or something simple like that!
I bet there alot motorists don’t have license for sure
Gawing 20k ang first offense, community service for 1 week at demerits sa lisensiya.
Salamat Po !!!
when will you be uploading the latest of bus lane violators with the heavier fines?
Jail time for the runners for endangering the public and enforcers!
@GadgetAddict will be able to help us commuters report the issue in the Double Dragon bus stop where it takes more than 30 mins sometimes an hour for Edsa Carousel Bus before it can pass into the next station (taft). Thanks
I agree that noting down the license plate numbers of violators is not enough. There have been instances in which the LTO registration of second-hand vehicles were not done so the MMDA would send a notice of violation to the previous owner. That is so annoying!
how does after Cubao many riders and private cars still keeps entering to the bus lane
kapag tangka tumakas 30k agad yan tapos 1 year suspension haha
I agree. Ewan q lng qng may mgtangka pa.

They said it is automatic 3rd offense if you run away right?
Does it mean that he gets 3rd offense and gets suspended for a year (though he does not have a license)?
Why does that hiace have blinkers???
what happens if you dont have enough funds to pay the ticket at that moment does your vehicle get impounded?
blinkers are also violation for non marked vehicle right?
Could you please give an explanation on how are people allowed to use red and blue lights. What is the law regarding this or is there no law. If you do this in Australia, you will be sent to jail for impersonating a police official.
Yes just another one of those stupid things they do over here, and if you have what they call a big bike then they seem to think they have special rights on the road so they have the Red and Blue lights flashing everywhere they go, and they seem to thing they have special rules that says they can have loud exhaust. As we all say! Only in the Philippines.
@@oldgamer1330 In Australia, we use to have these mufflers that called hotdogs. They are ridiculously load and annoying. They were banned decades ago. It seems that the outlawed mufflers which most likely numbered in the millions were unsellable. So I guess some brainiac decided to export them to the Philippines. It seems they found a new home in all of the jeepneys. They drive me nuts.
@@ZokStar1 Yes and the laws on sound over here is ridiculous, I think it is 110db and in Australia that is the same level as race cars at most race tracks. Everything over here is loud.

Yes, when discussing buying a bus, GA mentioned that VIPs were using ambulances to cut through traffic.

LTO should paint the bus lane with different color
There should also be a clear demarcation line... maybe a double-yellow line between bus lane and the other lanes...
Yes or a different color like some countries use.
it seems that the heavier penalties dont work at all, so it needs to be extremely heavier penalty like make 10k pesos on the first violation
Hi gadget addict. Just want to ask your side regarding the incident happened in Mandaluyong where in the red car “side swipe” the MC rider. As per video, the MC rider was riding in the line and is not adjusting/minding the signal light of the red car and i think that is the reason why the red car driver snapped since he wasn’t able to change lane gradually. Do you think that the MC rider must also be fined since as you mentioned, riding in the line is a violation “DTS”. I was just curious since all they are pointing is the wrong doing of the car driver. Thanks!
A loose wheel nut is dangerous and may cause an accident. The most dangerous of all is a loose nut behind the steering making accidents happen.....
This is the proof how stubborn most of the kamote riders are and lack "LACK OF DISCIPLINE"🙄

1:24 blue motorcycle rider who ran away is wearing a PNP Athletic Uniform. You can clearly notice it with the design of the shoes he's wearing(PNP standard issue athletic shoes) and the type of shorts he's wearing. You cannot clearly notice his shirt because he is wearing a jacket but it can be seen in the video that the lower part of his shirt(sky blue colored) can be noticed. Sky blue is the color of the PNP Athletic Shirt. I think the enforcer who chased him caught up with him but was just told to go when the enforcer noticed that he was a cop.🎉
bakit naulit? wala ba bago?
Merry Christmas - laki ng commission :)
mmda enforcers don't have any commission or percentage.
I've seen some people try to mislead others into believing they do, but it's false.
MMDA enforcers get paid the same, whether they issue 1 ticket or 100 tickets.
Some LGU enforcers get a commission from their City though.
The one in shorts is a police officer... Because of the athletic shoes specific for the PNP (part of their athletic uniform).
meanwhile the people following the law just chilling passing by without any problems

until now still have violators? are they not watching the news?
I hope MMDA tries to solve the blatant abuse of counterflowing.
Yes, but they need to enforce all the laws including noise levels and vehicle safety like tires and lights not working.
With all the penalties collected I hope MMDA, will have a budget to paint the lane not just an outline, but the whole lane with road paint. Despite it is beautiful to see, driver’s will be more aware it’s boundaries.

They're still using ambulances to get through traffic. You should see the insane number of them during rush hour mornings on the Skyway.
Just a question to you sir, in this video that portion of edsa why can't they put a barrier there? Or in any part of edsa where you see it safe, it would lessen the areas to be monitored by mmda.
Most of the bus lane has barriers.
But there are openings for emergency vehicles to get in and out. And the barriers were removed from flyovers and tunnels, for safety reasons.
Unfortunately, if you've seen my other videos, you'll know that they also catch people inside the barrier sections of bus lane.
But when the new penalties came into effect, there's very few bus lane violators, compared to before.
@@GadgetAddict but it would be more dangerous for person if they would crossed a lane 9n edsa just to stop a violator more frequently right? If a brrier installed on most part it would lessen that risk and it would be the drivers fault if they are caught in an accident.
Hope they place barriers for safety as well
I dont know if you have already done this but, if you could explain these gangs that you mention in your videos sometimes
there are no gangs....its just a term used to any violator who uses his finger to point to a near location less than 50 meters away where he/she is apprehended to make an excuse that he's only going to that nearby location[where his finger points] therefore he can't be ticketed.. if you do then you are member of that "gang" who use the same common excuse....the native statement is ...."dyan lang ako" meaning...i'm just literally going there only....[where the finger points].

Lawmakers should amend or create a new law wherein motorist who runs away from the enforcers should be given jail time or else alot of these drivers will think that it's okay for them to do so. They should start confiscating unauthorized used of blinkers as well. It's been illegal for the longest time and no one is enforcing it anymore.
