#1 it is only a money making machine when u choose to use the bus way when ur not supposed to... dont want to give the gov ur money? THEN DONT USE THE EFFING BUS WAY GENIUS! #2 If you use the bus while all other lanes are congested, then the bus way will also end up congested and the busses that can move hundreds of commuters per bus will get caught in traffic! Maybe instead of using the bus way and paying the fine of 5k, just use the 5k to buy common sense!
It also lessens the traffic in the long run, coz the private car drivers will not drive, instead, they will commute thru the bus lane. And the car is expensive to maintain and the rising fuel prices.
I appreciate what they are doing and hope they move onto the other issues causing unnecessary traffic because ive been driving here a long time and i got to say people using the bus lane is like the least of problems compared to lets say jeepneys using the an entire lane of through traffic as a terminal illegally or people turning on a red light into a already full intersection gridlocking traffic for other lights which is also illegal and a bigger problem i think.
the jeepneys are bunch of poor people with 1 vote count that is being manipulated by politicians... that is why it is hard to take actions against them.
Honestly, I thought Improving Traffic Flow in EDSA is hopeless, until Covid came and they come up with this Socdistancing solution, which somehow became effective. Its not that a big of improvement but something is better than nothing. Motorist lack of discipline is the biggest problem in the metro. We acknowledge that, then half of the problem is solve already.
The best solution in my opinion is to pass the "No Garage No Vehicle" law. So people who wants to have their own vehicle must secure their own garage first.
Sa Japan may ocular inspection kung may garage yung bibili. Kaya usong uso doon yung kei cars na maliit, dito sa pinas palakihan ng sasakyan, nasa kalsada naman nakapark.
Tigas ulo talaga. MMDA should increase penalty to P10,000.0. Need many Huge warning signs along the Edsa Post about the Penalty for Violations. Not only one but many. It may help discourage motorists to get into the Bus Lane.
Been commuting almost most of my life. Before bus lane was implemented north edsa to ayala would take 1hr pag malas 1 1/2 ngayon been consistent na 30-40 mins na lang. Not bad reduction of travelling time.
It's better, ignore those bashers because it's possible that he's also one of the violators. they only know complaints and no solution. Actually, it is difficult to come up with a solution or new road planning for EDSA, but at least this busway is more successful than before.

I hope the government consider improving their ticketing system. Amazing how politicians say the best way to improve traffic flow is to use public transportation. Well, when politicians start taking public transportation themselves is when citizens should take public trasport.
Statistics work. Period. It’s how you interpret the data. Example: During World War 1, the number of head injuries increased drastically when the soldiers were issued with helmets. Some generals who don’t understand statistics blamed helmets for the increased number of soldiers with head injuries, and wanted to recall all the helmets. Thankfully these generals didn’t have their way. Head injuries increased, yes, but the number of deaths due to head wounds drastically decreased.
The bus lane is a good idea. But improving the MRT and lowering the charges is also a very good idea. Do you know that our MRT or LRT is just averaging at 45kmph compared to other countries which is way faster. You guys can google it. The buses ply the same route as the MRT. So actually the buses are in a way redundant especially at off-peak hours. In other countries, you won't see them apply this solution. Their buses take different routes (usually goes around) which has more stops.
With MRT-7's completion, public transpo will be significantly improved. Especially since a lot of workers in qc and manila are from bulacan and caloocan.
There will never be a solution for traffic in Metro Manila because everyday several new vehicles comes in and their numbers kept on rising. Even if you build new sky ways or roads they are only a temporary solution. Ortigas Flyover was once promoted to help solve problem of traffic in EDSA during it's construction but now even on top of it there's traffic. At the very least other than MRT, the bus way is one of the most effective way to help more people travel EDSA.

Di akong naniniwala na mahirap sila. May pambayad naman sila kaya nagdesisyon sila na dumaan diyan. Salamat sa patuloy na pagbalik ng perang pinaghirapan niyo sa kaban ng bayan.
Penalties for traffic violations should be steeper. The 5,000 penalty for using the bus lane is not good enough to deter these violators which is why there are still those who keep using the bus lane. It should be double the amount and if caught again, the vehicle should be impounded and stay in the impound lot for 30 days plus suspension of the driver's license for 30 days as well. The law and penalties should be very tough.
Honestly. Just follow the rules. Not just not for the bus line but just driving in general. It’s either they intentionally don’t follow rules or they just are educated on proper driving.
Ang pinaka malaking problema s mga driver, ay walang disiplina at integridad, sana nga nabibili s tindahan un self discipline and integrity, mura un ln 5 pesos para lahat meron
Interesting that most violators, now that penalties are more expensive, are mc taxis. They don't make much money and it's harder to recoup the cost of the penalty.
If education and enforcement cannot prevent this violation, why not just put a concrete barriers to maintain the exclusivity of bus lane. Mostly motorcycle riders and a few private owned vehicles are violating this rule at given time and at a given spot along EDSA.
sana confiscate their license, issue ticket..get their license card..take it to LTO..then seminar starts..payment starts..serve them d last nd final warming!next violation will be total confiscation nd finally,revocation!..wala na sguro dadaan sa edsa!plsss inform our co rider to abide d law nd rules
I suggest that when these enforcers flagged down a rider, instead of moving the motorcycle aside with an engine on, the enforcers should tell the rider to turn off the engine and walk with their motorcycle to the side instead. If it is too heavy to push the bike then who cares anyway, it's their fault for driving along the bus lane.
How about showing us vids of VIPs with Police escorts? I still see a lot of those on the bus lanes that don't look like they are from the Top 5 officials.
Well the point is you don't have to pay if you follow the rules. If you don't want the government to make money off of you then do what you're supposed to do and be disciplined. It's not a stupid law. You can be on the bus lane if you decide to take a bus. This way you can help alleviate the congestion on the road, and maybe get to where you're going on time.
Don't mind those people saying the bus lane is a stupid idea..its the most effective idea MMDA came up..those person saying its stupid are those undisciplined and erratic drivers..
may pasaway pa din. dapat yata imodify ung penalties. dapat itulad sa toll fee sa nlex/slex. pag motor, tarting penalty is 5000. pag sedan, +3000 sa base penalty rate. pag van, +5000 sa base penalty. mas malaking sasakyan kasi, mas madaming pambayad.
Did that MC runner get caught? I hope so. Also those who oppose the bus lane concept are in the great minority of road users... the great majority are those who ride the buses and who appreciate the bus lane!
Honestly, revoking and suspending licenses doesn't mean a whole lot with the amount of drivers/riders caught without licenses. Unless they start towing vehicles and requiring fines to be settled prior to releasing the vehicle, DL suspension/revocation won't be as big a deterrent as they think.
@@Valkross9 Yes they do. Unless the impounding area has some corrupt/incompetent people. Nasa batas trapiko yan so kung meron mang di nagssettle pero nakukuha parin vehicle nila well thats just corruption

Environment and inherent culture lang talaga, walang nagtuturo ng tamang asal sa mga tarantado nowadays, kadalasan dadalin sa pagiging pilosopo para majustify yung kanilang kagagawan.
Thank you for your service.
Its not just about the money, its all about "DISCIPLINE", simple road rule that its so easy to obey
These people needs to learn about the bus lane they know theres so many buses on duty
There was a guy commenting on Facebook earlier, saying it's only 5 buses per hour 🤦
I'm guessing he's never been to EDSA.
@@GadgetAddictor he was born yesterday
@@GadgetAddictNaw, that guy just didn't know how to count. Had always been a "kamote" with arithmetic..😂😂😂
If you are arrogant enough to disobey traffic rules and regulations, then you are more than welcome to contribute to the revenue of the government. Thank you for your contributions.
ano ba mahirap intindihin na bawal dumaan ang private vehicle sa bus lane?
They are not expecting to be caught kaya mas need talaga ng MMDA ng more funds to increase their operations.
Salamat sa pagpapatupad ng maayos ng batas trapiko. Nakakarating ako ng mas mabilis sa trabaho kahit mahaba pila sa mrt. Naabala lang minsan pag may hinuhuling mga kamote.
Jan lng Ako gang..can you speak this words..very nice to hear from you.
They should hire contractuals for this. 5K a ticket should fully fund 5 officers per day. They catch 10 a day, that's already good for multiple teams of officers.
Common sense ain't so common in this country, full of people lacking critical thinking
agree.
It also lessens the traffic in the long run, coz the private car drivers will not drive, instead, they will commute thru the bus lane. And the car is expensive to maintain and the rising fuel prices.

Hey @Gadget Addict, you should tell MMDA to try operating at the Ortigas Flyover Southbound.
Im so proud of my kababayan 😂😂😂
Even the fine is 1m pesos they will still violate the bus lane rule
Eba at Adan = Mansanas
Rider at Motor = Edsa Bus Lane
Your the man,gadget man🙏🙏🙏🙏🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I appreciate what they are doing and hope they move onto the other issues causing unnecessary traffic because ive been driving here a long time and i got to say people using the bus lane is like the least of problems compared to lets say jeepneys using the an entire lane of through traffic as a terminal illegally or people turning on a red light into a already full intersection gridlocking traffic for other lights which is also illegal and a bigger problem i think.
the jeepneys are bunch of poor people with 1 vote count that is being manipulated by politicians... that is why it is hard to take actions against them.
I agree with you but manpower is still an issue and they need more diligent and well trained people out there.
Alam na lahat ng MC TAXI na bawal dumaan sa edsa bus lane... pero magbabaka sakali pa rin,, 😂
Tama lang yan. Great job! 👍
Bus lane should be allowed to be use by all motorist exept during rush hours.
Ganito ang pag-iisip ng mga Kamote Riders. Gagawin lahat para lang maka-daan sa fast lane este Bus lane or Bike Lane. lol..
That defeats the purpose.
Edi nag traffic na din sobra sa bus lane, tapos na late na din yung mga commuter.
I am no w in the Philippines and watching the EDSA bus way live from my window of our hotel. Hehehe, Thanks GA
What happened to Bong Nebrija? Is he coming back?
Those who says Bus Lane is stupid are just trolls! Don't waste your time on them.
The best solution in my opinion is to pass the "No Garage No Vehicle" law. So people who wants to have their own vehicle must secure their own garage first.
Laws that are hard to enforce are a waste of time. So many ways to get some kind of proof that you have a garage even if you don’t
Sa Japan may ocular inspection kung may garage yung bibili.
Kaya usong uso doon yung kei cars na maliit, dito sa pinas palakihan ng sasakyan, nasa kalsada naman nakapark.
They think rules don't apply to them hence the violation. 5thousand pesos is pretty hefty penalty if you ask me.
I agree to the MMDA policy now on Bus Line. We Filipino 🇵🇭 need to follow the traffic laws. This is not money making policy
We need more roads and better public transportation too
Breaking traffic law is stupid to those people saying Bus lane is stupid 😊
They should create a law regarding lane splitting. This should discipline MCs more.
HB 1419 (Anti Lane Splitting Law) was passed in 2019 and re-submitted in 2022 to become a law. JV Ejercito is blocking the passing of the bill, because as per him it is unfair for riders. 🤷
@@MarangTamburiki I understand the urge of the Motorcycle riders to get to their destinations quick as I drive both car and MCs. However If we don't move forward like other countries and update our laws, gnito na lang ba tlga tyo habang buhay? Progress should be the utmost priority "in every nation".
what happened to bong nebreha?
I dont agree with the "Money Making Machine" comment. Its not like motorists are forced to go thru the Bus Lane, they chose to go there despite knowing its not allowed. If you hate the fact that the government is making money out of this, then dont go thru the base lane, as simple as that.
only kamote riders would say "money making machine".
How about the BUS lane going to Ayala Tunnel. going to SLEX., a lot of vehicles using the BUS lane and no one is apprehending them.
how about the kingdom around baclaran & moa area from etrike
I hope the government consider improving their ticketing system. Something like gadgets that enforcers can immediately check from the lLTO record the atatus of every drivers license because they cannot immediately see if the drivers has already had 1st, 2nd or third offense or their cars and motors record status.
Or maybe it's a fake license, but we still don't have that kind of thing. Hopefully it's gonna be like that. Parang sa U.S.
Paid fines are recorded and filed and searched upon payment of succeeding fines to verify for any exisisting/ previous violations....
@@dennisalcaraz-p1xTrain enforcers how to spot fake driver's licenses or aquire gadgets (ultra violet lights?) similarly used in detecting bogus bills with the huge fines collected by the MMDA. But do driver's licenses have security features?..... is the question.
Sorry I couldn't help but notice most if not all of the motorcycles being pulled over or actually public transportation providing rides to paying customers. Why can't the authorities send a letter to the ride share company?
These violators are hardheaded! Wlang pagbabago, wlng disiplina! cgro khit taasan ulit ung fine meron prin mag-viviolate. Sana dagdagan ulit ung multa pra matutu mga taong yan.
That guy commenting " Money Making " doesnt even know what he's talking about. This kind of penalty wouldn't even exist if people like in this video will follow or obey traffic rules.
Hopefully 1 day I have a collab with this guy. Pag nahuli ako? 😳
Amazing how politicians say the best way to improve traffic flow is to use public transportation.
Well, when politicians start taking public transportation themselves is when citizens should take public trasport.
Statistics work. Period.
It’s how you interpret the data.
Example:
During World War 1, the number of head injuries increased drastically when the soldiers were issued with helmets.
Some generals who don’t understand statistics blamed helmets for the increased number of soldiers with head injuries, and wanted to recall all the helmets.
Thankfully these generals didn’t have their way.
Head injuries increased, yes, but the number of deaths due to head wounds drastically decreased.
Where is the exact location of the said bus lane in edsa?
MRT’s speed averages 60 km/h.
Fares are so cheap here compared to other countries.
@@ronnienestor type "mrt average speed" in google and read wikipedia. 60km/h is top speed
Ang bait nila sa Donation, sa halagang 5000. Huwag kayong magalit sa kanila kasi mapagbigay sila. Dapat balik pa sila.. Kapag isang daan dumaan diyan sa isang araw edi meron 500,000. Nagbibigay sila ng kalahating Cayetano.
Those people who comment that they are the ones who doesn't want to follow simple rules.
kahit ata 10k penalty marame paring tanga dadaan jan 😂
More power to you!
Law enforcement in the Philippines is way better than in Indonesia 👍😁
i love this. keep up the good work!
Disiplina,, yun lang ang kailangan
what if they impound any vehicle that will try to evade the ticket ? I guess they will respect the law better ...
I love watching this kind of videos, but the channel name doesn't make sense to me 🤔
Please revoke those licenses. It baffles me how people can’t adhere to a simple law and expect traffic to improve
Interesting that most violators, now that penalties are more expensive, are mc taxis. They don't make much money and it's harder to recoup the cost of the penalty.
If education and enforcement cannot prevent this violation, why not just put a concrete barriers to maintain the exclusivity of bus lane. Mostly motorcycle riders and a few private owned vehicles are violating this rule at given time and at a given spot along EDSA.
sarap pa noodin😅😅
sana confiscate their license, issue ticket..get their license card..take it to LTO..then seminar starts..payment starts..serve them d last nd final warming!next violation will be total confiscation nd finally,revocation!..wala na sguro dadaan sa edsa!plsss inform our co rider to abide d law nd rules
Great job catching the cheaters. Taxi services seem the worst offenders.
Time for the MMDA to train and hire more enforcers so both lanes can be manned and better chance of apprehending violators
How about showing us vids of VIPs with Police escorts? I still see a lot of those on the bus lanes that don't look like they are from the Top 5 officials.
Kaw pala nakakakita bakit di ikaw mag video, pano kami maniniwala sa sinasabi mo kung ikaw mismo wla naman pruweba
That's the effect of poor urban development
Ha? Vehicles already get towed when the driver doesn’t have a valid license
@@ballinboxer3676 But they dont require you to settle the violations before taking it from the impound yard.
@@Valkross9 Yes they do. Unless the impounding area has some corrupt/incompetent people. Nasa batas trapiko yan so kung meron mang di nagssettle pero nakukuha parin vehicle nila well thats just corruption
@@ballinboxer3676 Nope. Fine settlements for violations are required before renewing registration, not before releasing the vehicle from the impound. You only need to settle the towing and impound fees to get your vehicle released.
@@Valkross9 Ah i never knew that!

I think that when violators on bus lane during daytime is reduced because of increased penalty then automatically that is a win for everyone.
