Residents want to complain to the ombudsman

- Many residents complained to the MMDA about their Barangays one-side parking ordinance, which has resulted in their streets becoming a dumping area for broken and abandoned vehicles.
Some of the vehicles have already been converted to make-shift homes, along with eateries and sari-sari stores being installed on the easements.
One homeowner said that although it's an alternating one-side parking ordinance, many of the vehicles are being pushed or lifted to the other side of the street every couple of weeks, even though they're still broken and have been there for months or years.
One resident also said that many of the license plates have been removed, making it difficult to trace the true owners of the vehicles.
Obviously this goes against the intention and spirit of a one-side parking ordinance - which is to provide temporary come-and-go parking for residents.
Have you ever experienced problems like this in your barangay?
thats why i think barangays should be a hired position instead of an elected one. no constituents to placate they will only follow the rule of law if they do not another person will be hired to take their place. what do you think?
yes.and the LGU's not doing any strong actions.they will only verbally warned them but after a day or two they will come back again.
@@johnpaulgo9340abuse will take effect if hired.
In Barangay, yes. However, I do understand as they do not have their own deputized agents that can hand out ticket nor their own tow trucks. They have to coordinate with the LGU to get things done.
yes, in east grace Caloocan, almost all streets are illegally parked
imagine if LTO played your vids while everyone is in queue
I like this idea. They would be so embarrassed while claiming their licenses or their vehicles haha
GOOD IDEA
great idea
This is avery bright idea
Dapat buwagin ma barangay. La naman ginagawa. Sumusweldo nakaupo lang. 😅
I wish MMDA don't stop this kind of service or field work, I really appreciate them clearing all passable walkways and streets that are being used as private parking lot and iresponsible car repair shops. keep it up 😁
I can watch your videos for hours because it gives me the sense of justice for us the silent majority! Fantastic job you guys! Thank you!
I'm sure the MMDA would appreciate reading comments like yours.
Imagine, some public officials are even trying to prevent the MMDA from ticketing vehicles parked on the sidewalk 🤦
They're thinking of the owners of the vehicles, but they're not thinking of the millions of pedestrians and commuters that struggle every day.
Regardless of that, the law is clear. So if the MMDA aren't meant to apprehend that, isn't it better to change the law, instead of the one enforcing the law?
Kudos to the team of Col. Bong! Keep up thw good work! Tc always, marami pasaway! 😊
I just love to see Sir Bong dismiss them whenever they try to show connections. 😀
"Siya po may-ari niyan'
Bong: oh ano ngayon? 😂
Good job sir.
The barangay allowed that structure because of additional vote for barangay election......same in our area
I remember when the MMDA were sent to a different barangay because of an 8888 complaint from residents that were surprised to find that their road had suddenly turned into a squatters area, with 20+ makeshift houses appearing almost overnight on their road.
The Barangay Chairperson asked the MMDA to delay clearing them until after a certain date 🙄
Continue your good job MMDA!
Ive lived here for 11 years and never seen this much effort put forth by the police to clean up the streets.
A lot of ground covered by the team today, and a lot of sidewalks liberated! Good job MMDA and GA!
this is more progressive for team mmda. thank you for clearing our road. kudos col. nebrija nmda team.
Thanks for your service. This is the kind of mentality I don't like with being Filipino including "Filipino Time".
MMDA should receive more funding.
Any update on “ Busway” violators?? We enjoy that more than this 🥳
Raising the fines will make these people think twice on what they are doing. Like the illegal parking rule, from php1k to php5k. Because come on, 1k per month ( possibly ) isn't going to deter them. Also those driving w/o licenses should really have heavier penalties too.
it used to be 5k or was that including towing
@@user-nv1gm2zj7y the php1k fine applies when the driver comes out, hands over a license, and gets a ticket but should drive the vehicle away until the MMDA leaves the area. I think the php5k is when it gets towed and you have to claim it in Tumana. So if those towed vehicles would pay php10k or more, again they will surely think twice of parking on No parking zones.
Good job..MMDA for clearing the road and side walk for illegal parking and obstruction...gadget addict Good job also for very nice video...
Keep up the good work! More power MMDA and Gadget Addict. Thank you for your work. I always watch your videos. Take care team.
Good morning GA and MMDA Team under Col. Bong Nebrija. Stay safe and get all of those DILAG and kamote riders. Plus Kulangot Drivers. 😸👍
Good Job!!
Good job 👏 👍 MMDA.
This is the time we should make the fines more expensive, people will never learn if they are not scared to fines and penalties. Its just a repeating scenario.
I think it's time to show the people who they're name dropping. That's how you can get that person who named dropped someone to really be in trouble.
Imagine you weren't here or bong?
Those people can just scare a typical tanod, mmda enforcer etc.
The difficulty nowadays is that many Cities have asked for 8888 complaints to be redirected to them, meaning it bypasses the MMDA.
So you're still dependent on the City to take action.
But at least you can still have the progress of the complaint tracked, and escelate it if nothing happens.
Some Cities are better than others. I personally find that QC is pretty active in clearing streets and general enforcement of road rules - at least at the City level.
For us Filipinos. One side parking is wrong side parking.
So glad you're still at it! I'd love to buy you lunch someday!
Thanks for your service. Awesome job!
The operation is not Anti-Poor in fact it is
ANTI-FOOL😂🤣😂
Appreciate you uploading on longer video format again
As again, great job to GA for covering the MMDAs enforcement and to the MMDAs, keep doing what you do and do double the effort until maybe someday they will learn. But for now “Just do it.”
6:35, they are jumping cables. They most likely tap onto public or private power line for free. Yaay!!
good Job MMDA .
kudos MMDA and GadgetAddict. ;) please continue making our community better.
Sidewalks are for pedestrians and NOT for parking, tables, washing machines, pets, or plants. Let us reclaim the sidewalks.
That's why I was surprised when a public official said he wants to prevent MMDA from ticketing vehicles that park on the sidewalk.
It's a big slap in the face of pedestrians and commuters.
I'm not sure why the MMDA became the "bad guy" for simply doing their job and enforcing the law.
If the law is wrong, maybe it's better to change the law than changing the people that are simply enforcing it.
Hope this happen in Tarlac too.
That is the number one problem in this Barangay (where I lived) my fellow residents are being too stubborn when it comes to parking
Where I come from, unregistered or abandoned vehicles become the responsibility of local councils & they take ownership & must remove& dispose of. Some are crushed & recycled, ones in better conditions are sold by auction for repair or spar parts & "breakers" yards giving funds to the local councils to eep streets clear. Maybe they should look at doing that here!
Satisfied customers
Go MMDA do more of these! Again, I wish MMDA coordinates with NEDA and TESDA to help those people have legal business that do not hamper traffic. There is nothing wrong with having business, you just have do it right for all parties involved. 😊
This way, MMDA will not be vilified in the eyes of those they "displace" even though MMDA is doing the right thing by the law.
Salamat Po !!!
Good job !
I'm from UK but live in Philippines. In UK we have towing trucks with cranes on them so they have no problems lifting cars or trucks
Sometimes the Brgy officials are the problem.
In Singapore we have CCTV along to the street to make sure no 1 is parking along the street 24hrs. A parking ticket will be sent to the offender if they were found parking illegally. Or Parking Warden will patrol the street 24hrs when they come across any offender a ticket will be issue on place on the windscreen. Anyway gd job to MMDA n GA for putting great effort to clear up the city in QC n Marikina area. I hope this kind of effort can keep gg n maintain n not just for show.
Keep it up 👍👍👍
Wow most gas guzzler American vehicles.
Operating a vehicle without a license should be deemed a criminal offense and concurrently, the implementation of stringent measures like disallowing vehicles lacking license plates should be rigorously enforced.
Such a measure would not only emphasize the paramount importance of adhering to legal requirements but also contribute significantly to ensuring public safety on the roads. A driver's license serves as more than a mere document; it symbolizes a level of proficiency and knowledge necessary for responsible and secure driving practices. By elevating this offense to criminal status, the society reinforces the notion that driving without the necessary credentials not only undermines traffic regulations but also poses a tangible threat to the well-being of all road users.
THE SYSTEM SHAPES PEOPLE'S BEHAVIOR.
Well said.
My batas na gagawin walang kwenta lol. Senador na mga walang alam.
problem is they dont have plate nos to give us
Tawag dyan CHOP CHOP SHOP.
I think the main sources of these problems are the irresponsible people who park and dumps their vehicles on the road. And there maybe a "few" good ones but seemed 95% in the whole NCR have completely useless barangay officials😂😢
driving w/out a license should be a civil offense/crime, and come with at least being booked with the local police. Also, that dude trying to intimidate Bong with a picture of the supposed owner of that "working" clubwagon that was only getting a wiring fix... LOL that was too funny. Epic fail.
Power tripping laos na yan haha
Yes. His sheer nerve was staggering !
usually as much as the barangay wanted to the right thing, those are future voters who can get back at them by not voting.. so its right that mmda gets the job done😊
May pinakita pokemon card kay bong! Special power parking permit! Lol😅
No shoes, no proper helmet, no license, no side mirror, no registration
Impound 👍
kudos for uploading longer video
its really a perennial problem of MMDA
Biggest problem with the Philippines is traffic rules are generally ignored and any form of enforcement outrages people Most countries traffic enforcement is usually carried out by police as part of their normal duties
sana mag punta din ang MMDA s my Gen Luis at P. Jacinto. Daming illegal park dun at mga ngmomotor n walang helmet
RA 4136, sec 46-F
SECTION 46. Parking Prohibited in Specified Places. - No driver shall park a vehicle, or permit it to stand, whether attended or unattended, upon a highway in any of the following places:
(a) Within an intersection.
(b) On a crosswalk.
(c) Within six meters of the intersection of curb lines.
(d) Within four meters of the driveway entrance to and fire station.
(e) Within four meters of a fire hydrant.
(f) In front of a private driveway.
(g) On the roadway side of any vehicle stopped or parked at the curb or edge of the highway.
(h) At any place where official signs have been erected prohibiting parking.
Yep. In that context, they're referring to parking in front of a private driveway 👍
Where I used to live, any unregistered vehicle on the street was considered abandoned. They would put a large fluro sticker on i giving 7 days to remove to a private property and if not one, they had it removed & disposed of either by selling to mechanical repairer, scrap yard for spares or crushed and sold to recyclers. No comeback by original owner/s. Maybe they need to do the same here?
the baranggay officials is the problem
If the Barangay cannot do it, at least they should report this barrier’s on sidewalks to be eliminated ASAP
It seems like the Barangay are aware of who's putting those vehicles there and who's collecting parts from the vehicles.
I could be wrong, but it seems that way.
So I find it difficult to believe that they cannot have the true owner or current keeper remove those vehicles.
The problem with that is the barangay won't even try to clear it. They will just report it to MMDA. There should be some mechanism for the barangay to be penalised for not keeping sidewalks clear.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE visit the Street at the corner of E Rodriguez besides Trinitiy University across Waltermart & bring MANY Tow trucks....
I hope our government will do something about this, it shows how so many filipinos are so kamote. I hope one day it will have higher consequence or much more expensive violation fee.
Jan lang geng geng.. hehehe
Double the penalty sir!
Just scratching the surface of corruption here in the Philippines. Just another normal day.
I hope they give these businesses big fines for using street to operate there business anti poor nothing in America parked illegally or vehicles not registered can be towed it cost $180 and up plus after 24-48 hrs on tow yard they charge storage fees
Can you create a video of the the tow yard? Another idea is to show the process when they reclaim their MC or car
If someone parked like that on sidewalk in England, more likely it would be scratched up or kicked hard🤣🤣🤣🤣
That van 🤣 needs rewiring only ahahaha. And an engine and new tires and transmission and computer box. Ahahahaha 😂
The white abandoned vehicle up on the easement will be there for 500 years.
Go Gadget Go... :)
the barangay LGU are involved with those things, 100% sure
0:18 no license boss I only have toothbrush in my backpocket
" Maybe sold the side mirrors for new wheels " classic GATA 😆😅🤣
Keep voting for these politicians who don't address the issues. LOL
Those with no ORCR might be stolen.
Harsh punishment is the only solution for people to comply and obey the laws. Hand slap punishment is a joke.
Please go do a clearing in 14th Avenue
Alam na bakit hindi ginagalaw ng barangay.
MMDA should start telling the people who say "it's anti-poor," that yes it is anti-poor if they do not ticket and remove it, they can afford cars, a lot of people can't and just walk, they are obstructing the sidewalk which means obstructing the people who can only afford to bike/walk/commute which makes their parking anti-poor.
MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority)... It is hoped that it would be allowed to take a picture of the vehicle and its plate number that is blocking the garage or driveway. Then, it should be possible to send the picture to MMDA, which can impose a fine of 2500 pesos on the owner of the vehicle blocking the garage. It is hoped that MMDA will have such a law in place.
Will it be possible to have the location of the operation posted here?
They made a shelter or house for those abandoned vehicles
That's often what happens with abandoned vehicles - they become a storage area, a house or a drug den.
It seems like the repair shops are just using those vehicles for parts.
Thanks for your consistent coverage. How can I request the same operation in our Brangay? As local elections draw closer they seem more hesitant to antagonize potential voters
The best option is through the 8888 complaint service - either by phone or through their website.
Thanks! I'll do that. More power to your channel. @@GadgetAddict
Those cars are quite expensive.
Dodge van and pick up
Camry
Civic
I think those driving without a license should be considered *serious* reckless driving for a heavier penalty. With reckless, you can get suspension and or revocation but for those who doesn't really have a license from LTO to operate any vehicle should be dealt with stiffer fines and imprisonment without bail.
this is my new version of ASMR
Easy get a big forklift that's not a problem.
Everything is the barangays fault get rid of Barangay and replace it with police presence, and shop at the easement get a bulldozer and swift of off.
