- Showing your drivers license and taking a ticket for attended illegal parking is cheaper and easier than being ticketed or towed for unattended illegal parking.
The purpose of showing your license to the enforcer is for your name and license number to be included on the ticket, so it can be tied up to the correct person.
No parking is allowed along 20th Avenue, due to the high volume of traffic that passes through this road. Likewise, it's prohibited to park on a pedestrian crossing.

Good on Bong for ending the argument by saying he wasn't listening to their BS anymore. Don't want to hand over a license, tow the bus.
They really want to give everyone a fair chance and an informed option (even if they should already know).
But sometimes you just cannot help someone.
I just wish the drivers friends had tried to convince him to simply hand over his license. Because this will be a much bigger headache for the driver, compared to the ticket that he could have accepted.
They wont care because, in the first place, they don’t really own the bus. Let the bus company deal with their mistake.
Paying a ticket is a huge dent on their income. They’d rather risk getting fired than having to part with their money
@@GadgetAddict it will be the driver's accountability with his operators for allowing their bus to be towed. Worse scenario is he might get fired because of what had happened.
I really hope our legislature passes a bill to arrest on the spot those driving without license.
i totally agree. together with drunk driving, revoke their licenses, the problem is “ they have to investigate it first” geez…what the heck is that? they need to put teeth into the traffic violation law. zero tolerance🇵🇭🙏

MMDA should really apply a standard when asking for the license. Ask only 3 times, on the 3rd time, explicitly state that "this is the last time I will ask for the license, else you are getting towed". I get that you want to be amicable in the performance of your duty, but it's clear that a lot of people abuse that.

Regarding badges, many police officers either flash their badges to get free rides, or proactively assume they don’t have to pay when they’re in uniform or show their badges. Some even threaten conductors.
And they wonder why they’re not being respected.
I live near that operation place at C5. There are a lot of obstructions along that narrow road because of the parked cars on the establishments and businesses.

The SCOG team are certainly very lenient.
It seems to be their general policy that if the owner of an item is there, they will allow them to remove it. And only after a bazillion encounters, they'll confiscate it.
If the owner isn't there to move it, that's the time they confiscate it.
That's very different from a certain city that has their own sidewalk clearing operations and basically just throw everything straight onto the truck, whether the owner is there or not.
@@GadgetAddict we'll if that's the message the MMDA wants to convey to the 'pasaways/offenders' then so be it but it's a frustrating scenario that has been going on over and over again - no pain no game - the issue here is inconsistency - the law or policy must be enforced regardless of the enforcers' mood :-(

This ticketing routine for repeat offenders needs to stop. They need to take their vehicles for 30 days 1st time, then 90 days then confiscation.
I don't think they'd have a good legal basis for taking the vehicle. But making the penalty increase for repeat violators would probably help a lot.

MMDA can hire P10,000 traffic enforcers and the salaries will be paid under the monies paid for by the violators!! Problem solved!! Also, it will reduce unemployment in the Philippines. Lack of expounding, you should say give us the license, will ticket you, then we will return the license. Some people assume that when they are asked there license it won't be return immediately, that's why they won't give it.

The safe way is to increase the penalties caught without a drivers license P5,000 1st offense, 2nd offense P10,000 and so on. Plus jail time of 30 days.

Dapat kasi tlg, no garage, no car policy. Some car owners nowadays are very inconsiderate when it comes to parking their car. They wouldn't care if they cause an inconvenience to others so long as it serves them well.
Illegal parking for 2nd or 3rd time must go to seminar before returning their vehicle,
riders having their children ride their motorcycle unprotected should be considered a crime or child endangerment.
No parking, don't purchase any vehicle. The government should make a a law or bill for this matter

Natawa ako sa sinabi mo na flat yung sidewalk. Yan ang problema sa mgaxsidewalk natin. Kapag naglalakad ka may mga bahagi na magiging para kang may polio. Kasi hindi pantay ang sidewalk. Lalo kapag driveway ginagawa nilang ramp yung sidewalk. Nakalimutan na ng Engineering yung dahilan kung bakit may sidewalk. Yung ibang sidewalk naman kapantay na ng kalsada dahil sa aspalto.

Let meexplain why they prefer to be towerd rather to be ticketed, its the companies fault if they dnt have a priper parking space, it is their burden if they surrenderd their license. That is the difference. The owner will shoulder the payment for towing, and the driver will shoulder for the license.

What happens if the owner of the car don't pay his ticket? Does it double after a certain amount of time?
If the ticket is from the MMDA, the penalty remains the same, even if It took you a year to pay it.
@GadgetAddict wow. Here in the States, the ticket doubles every 30 days you don't pay. If you decide not to get the car back , you still have to pay for the ticket, and the car will go to auction.

When you see riders like that where the passengers stay seated. You'll know that after getting the ticket, they'll just continue on their way. Best thing is to impound the bike if safety is paramount.
Most drivers do stop and park on pedestrian lanes even driving through green light and pedestrians the one running from them despite it is GREEN 😡😡😡😡

If they are licensed they should know the law! MMDA or which ever agency it is shouldn't have to explain laws of the road! Explain the violation once, request the license, ticket and move on. If the driver doesn't produce a license tow or clamp the vehicle! I also believe that only police should be allowed to stop moving violations due to the risks involved!
You can ask the LTO about the standard not the driver hehe

I have no idea. When you look at how nice the bike is, it seems hard to believe that he can't afford to buy a helmet.

Does someone know how much the owners have to pay if the car has been towed and they pickup the car. I assume the ticket is alot higher then.
They'll pay the ticket for unattended illegal parking, which is P2000.
They'll also pay the towing fee, which is based on the vehicle weight (categories) and distance from the impound. Typically it would be around P3000 - P4000. But it can be more.

I think alot of people they dont want or cant pickup there vehicle because of money issues.

Most of what you see being apprehended in my videos are residential parking.
People know whether they have a garage, before buying the car
Many people even converted their garage into an extended living space or store, and started parking on the road 🤷
If they don't have a space, the option would be the paid parking lot, like what I showed in this video.

My point was that he's carrying a child that's not wearing a helmet. So really, what is he thinking? That's extremely dangerous.
If he can't buy a helmet for the child, the safer option is to escort the child via a jeepney or tricycle.
It's legal for a child to ride a motorcycle, provided they're the only passenger, their feet can reach the foot pegs, their arms can reach around the waist of the driver and they have a proper helmet.
