- Just picked up this 1985 Honda aero80 two stroke scooter! Its a little rough around the edges but it was only $100 so I had to have it. Bought it non running, got it home and kicked it one time and it fired right up and ran GREAT! Top speed was around 38mph but should be able to get it up to 40-45 pretty easily. This is a super fun scooter with lots of power! Make sure you subscribe as I will be doing a part 2 where we fix some of the cosmetic damage and take it out for a test ride.

This Lead is worth.... maybe 100$? Maybe less. The plastics alone in good condition are worth more than he is.
That's not a 1985. '85 didn't have kick starter. And the body isn't correct for '85. You likely have an '83 or '84. The VIN is on the frame behind the front tire.
If it reads 1985 someone has swapped a bunch of earlier model parts onto an '85 frame. Hope that helps you find correct parts! Good luck.

How is the scooter restoration going now? Did you verify it's year?
Are these good? I have seen one non runner. Mechanic kid said avoid sprees which in Europe is the Melody I think. But what are the spares situation with these? And would it make a good project. Or is there an easier model to try for, please? Thank you.
You should look for a elite with an AF16 motor
I’d love to get an AF16 they are just supper hard to find around by me! Maybe in the future🙏🏼
I found a NH80 1990 in Australia for $400, the thing had been toasted out in the sun for decades and I didn’t think it would run, it has 17,000ks.
I took it home, checked everything before starting, put fuel in it and it started 3rd kick. These things are old school and well made scoots!
