Hi bro I have a Derby 50cc 2-stroke that was running smoothly before my vacation. I went away for a week, and now it won't start, unfortunately. There is compression in the cylinder, and the spark plug is sparking. I disassembled and thoroughly cleaned the carburetor and the air filter. I've done all the basic checks. Do you have any advice on what to look at or do next? (Note: I injected fuel directly into the cylinder under the spark plug. The engine starts normally for a few seconds and then dies)
If you motor swap a Honda dio motor it would be the fastest lightest bike you ever had.
Thanks. I will try this.
I had one as a kid and it always started no matter what I rode the piss out of it I used it like a mini bike and even took it through some Trails never had a problem
Are these just gas or oil and gas mix
I wanted one of those so badly when I was a kid and saw them brand new on the show floor at my local bike dealership.
I think I need some new belt
How do you dry it?
Does it have to be plugged in while using it or can u charge it up and use it after
@@karlafreeasabird5779 must be plugged in to use
Good job
Reminds me of my GT, same year, same color :)
MORE VIDEOS! We missed you
@@VinnieCskate I’m going to try and start posting more regularly again. Doing it for people like you. Thanks!
I have a 83 GTS notch back 22RE and i drive it to work at 4 days a week manual life forever...
You should do a restoration project on like a vintage lawnmower from the 70’s or so, would be cool! Also keep up the good work!
You mentioned selling it.. does it have a title?
well done
Nice find. Cleaned up pretty well also.
I found one of these in a dump, just yesterday. Tank wasn’t rusty or gooey and the slightly old fuel hadn’t turned radioactive yet. I figured if anything ends up in a landfill or a wrecker there’s a reason for it, right? Surely the last person who tried to bring it back wouldn’t give up for no reason. Got it for free out of the dump and it was a little dry seized but some elbow grease on the fly wheel and it freed right up, some oil in the cylinder and a cleanup of the bowl and jets, she came right to left. Straight from the dump first look at it and it already had consistent spark. Why would anyone throw something like this out, even if it didn’t run like why. I have no idea why it was in there the Italian brand(maybe original or close to) tires even hold air. It needs a seat and a brake refurbish, an over all cleanup and tuneup and it’s mint. Totally free.
@@outdoordaily6463 nice!!😎👊🏼
What did you clean it with?
so are you able to get started this summer?
Well done- I’m doing the same in UK to my 1976 rubber bumper mgbgt
You got a great collection so cool
That’s a score
Dude, I'm so impressed! I wish I knew this much about cars/mechanical stuff at your age. Keep up the good work!
The easiest way to remove a caliper piston is to pop it out before you unhook it from the hydraulic system. Putting it in a vice and trying to blow compressed air in it is futile. Also, I've seen people damage the piston by blowing it out with compressed air and smashing it against another piece of metal if you are going to do so, place a small block of wood in there to cushion the blow of the impact.
Set of spark plugs might help. But hearing that engine. I think it’s due for a hone and a set of piston rings.
I had one of these back in 2003 they're pretty fast
Just swap out that junk put sbc 350 and a 4 or 5 speed trans 9 inch rear 373 gear then have fun
You got a dead cylinder, bud
Better than any new toyota
Why didn't you change the oil? The spark plugs? Did you drain and get new fuel?
Check that misfire!!!
right? lmao It's a 3 cylinder
@@billymanilli extra fuel savings 😂💀
Thanks, this helped
I have mine from my 12th birthday trying to decide if I can do this myself😮 All the age is just from sitting in my basement.
I don’t profess to know a ton about cars, but I feel like checking the oil probably should’ve come at some point before part 10!😂
I like those. Looks amazingly like a certain year mustang.
Whattttttt………
Hello. Nice channel. I learned some things gs. Are you going to make full videos again, please? Thank you

I had a 1979 civic wagon. It was a hondamatic. Got rid of it when it had 90k miles. Too many problems with the valves

Good job, Young man.
Yay! Thank you so much! As soon as I peeled off the cover, we were able to start the leaf blower right away.😊 1:25 pm
Very nice still have my 1975 SR5
DON'T PURCHASE recived my unit about 4 months ago, worked fine for the first month and now is all muffled and unbearable to listen to. Contacted SYPHON and was told i would only get a partial refund due to it exceeding their 1 month warranty period ( spent 3 weeks of that being shipped.) I have now taken this matter up with paypal to recoup my 300AUD ( without shipping.) Do your research, not worth the money. If your looking for good helmet speakers keep looking, these aren't them.
We need longer vids
Good luck with your journey
