Loved the Honda scooters of the early/mid 80s. The 150 looked coolest. My brother had a 250 and a buddy had the helix

I love the styling from the 80’s. This little 80 has some pep. I would love to have a Helix. Thanks for watching.

Neat looking little scooter. The squared off '80s look is reminiscent of my '84 VT500FT. Wonder if Honda sourced this engine from another manufacturer or if it was their own design, since Honda wasn't really that much into two strokes (except dirt bikes). Very quiet running for a 2-stroke. Plastics are in good shape, too. Did you use the heat gun treatment just on the black plastic, or on the red panels as well? Or maybe those red panels aren't plastic, but fiberglass? Don't know, never had one of these little scooters. Someone else mentioned they had up to a 250cc engine.

Used the heat gun just on the black plastics. The red was painted. The Aero was made in a 50, 80, and 125 two stroke. Later when they went away from two strokes they went up to a 250cc.

Then in 1984 the 4 stroke Honda Elite scooter came out. The Elite's were definitely of the era. I graduated high school in 89, but the 80's motorcycles don't really do it for me. I like a round head light on my motorcycle. I'm sure some those 80's bikes will grow on me as the years go on. But for now, I tend to like 1950s, 60s and 70's design.

Cool little scooter. I wanted a elite S real bad when I was a kid. The S was a little faster. Ended up with a YSR50.

You completely missed the opportunity to put a piece of plywood propped on some cinder blocks to make sweet jump. Like Evil at the Snake River Canyon. Plus there was no Van Halen, man.

Definitely should have taken it on a sweet jump. Can’t use Van Halen I would have gotten flagged for copyright.

Good evening Eric! I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out to you this way because Facebook says that you don't accept messages from new people. I received a letter from a district attorney on my stolen motorcycle. I am being requested to provide a victim impact statement on the crime and how it affected me emotionally, physically and financially. I wanted to see if you still had the bill of sale that I gave you for my original motorcycle. If you do, could you take a very clean photo of it for me so that I can print it off and add it to the impact statement? I'm sorry if this is a hassle but it would help me so much.

It has 2 wheels, it is cheap, fun and holds it's value - plus it is technically an 80's Honda, so it gets my vote :)

pretty nice sounding scooter, just hum right along the way... my town is only about 7 or 10 miles across, but our parkway is 26 miles.. vary snaky with speed limit of 30 to 35 mph...

Awesome! Last year I bought a 1984 Aero 125 with 93 original miles on it. Previous owner laid it down once and never rode it again. The 125 was only imported to the US for one year (except California). It was Honda's largest two-stroke for the street. It'll do about 50mph. Acceleration is brisk!

@@motorcyclerewind I saw you sniffing out a graveyard for an Elite recently. I paid over market for my Aero from a seller off craigslist but I knew it was the nicest original one around. I see several Elites currently on Facebook marketplace here in IL in the $1,500 - $2,000 range. Not sure how much you want to pay. I always pay more for a bike with less needs but you might be looking for a cheap fixer-upper, not sure.
