Been a fan of Neil Young for decades, and this is one of his most beautiful songs. I only wish Norah Jones, with that fabulous voice, had a bigger part.
I was there with my daughter and granddaughter. What a great pleasure to be present at this event. It was fall before the pandemic struck. Neil Young will always be one of the great ones! He brings character, beauty, immense talent to all his music. 🦋💙❤️.
Long Live Uncle Neil and his big and wonderful heart. You bring tears to my eyes for many things over the years. You will never totally know the love you left . Thank you Neil Young.
There he is playing acoustic and humming on the harmonica, what a lovely sound. Neil is older than I can remember my Grandpa was and he still makes it happen. Neil Young may not be so young now but he can claim that he and the "Laurel Canyon Clan" changed the world in the '60s. Although then, at that time in the '60s, I was only 7 years old, I remember it well. God Bless the Laurel Canyon Clan and keep them all healthy, happy, and young at heart for years to come! 🌼
I learnt to play Every Body Knows this Nowhere in 1973. Since then I've played at least 600 Neil Young songs and yet this is still the lost mind blowin' of all. Watch Ny and Norah Jones play this absolute Gem.
Watching Neil on Saturday Night Live play this and "From Hank to Hendrix" with no backup band is what finally pushed me to simply HAVE to learn to play guitar and not just sing. I had never been so awestruck at a single artist in my entire life. That was twenty years ago. I owe this man the deepest respect for making me feel something beautiful and honest for so long.
I was going to school in Missoula MT, we were at the bar that night and had to leave early to make it home in time to catch that episode (no RUclips back then). Why I remember that night after all this time I have no idea.
Neil continues to amaze- his voice still a treasure w/ his music. My high school buddies in '76,'77 would play 'Old Man', 'Heart of Gold", and 'Sugar Mountain' etc. In these challenging times this is a soulful treasure. Thankyou for posting
I graduated in 1980 we loved neil!!! Shut in a tiny room with a turntable big speakers and a bowl!!! Those were the best times of my life but didnt know it then!! Live Rust!!!
I graduated from a small, rural upstate NY school in 1976. Never did I think I'd live in California and get to see Neil play multiple times. My favorite Neil song is Unknown Legend (RIP Peggy); whats yours?
@@kellyrn6014 So many nuggets of Neil gold. Favs: Down by the River, Cowgirl, Rockin in the Free W, Needle and the D Done ; Top O the list, Mr Soul and Like a Hurricane
Same here in 1972, my friend Remi’s dad had a good sound system and we would listen to Neil Young sitting on the lawn..on the Gaspé Peninsula...that’s why we never grow old.
Anybody else grab their kitchen broom and play the sweep part along with Neil & Norah? What an awesome song. I loved it when the album debuted and still love it today.
For some reason , when I was young , I didn't appreciate just how good he is , until one day I saw him live on TV , at Wembley stadium just by himself with his guitar , and he was just amazing , been a fan ever since got lots of his albums , and seen him live a couple of times , as well , one of the greatest in my opinion .
Me too. I used to have 3 or 4 Neil Young albums back-to-back on real-to-real tape, played it constantly and followed his music over decades. I especially love this song and the RUclips video of it.
Last time I heard Neil Young in concert was in 1982 " The Summer Night " series concerts in Saarbrucken, West Germany. He rocked the venue with " Cinnamon Girl " . It was a hot, dusty, outdoor event, but it was worth it. I wish I had a time machine with a flux capacitor, I forgot to enjoy & cherish my youth. YEP!
Before my brother took his life in 2012 he gave me a Nora Jones CD I was taken aback with her vocals I was/still are so proud of my bro. Past is the past and I loved him to the bone…. I pray he found his peace I miss my troubled rock ♥️
Just like ELVIS, Michael Jackson, Tom Petty, Prince, Elton John, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, & all the rest that are all gone now, & them that are still here, there will never be another Neil Young, these are all dynamic musical geniuses
Best concert i ever saw: January, 1979 - Cleveland Coliseum, Neil young and Crazy Horse. Neil was on first, solo. Bar stool, acoustic guitar and harmonica. Second half, Crazy Horse came in and they rocked the house! Naturally there was an encore. The unrelenting cheers brought them back for a SECOND encore. They left the stage, the lights came on. Even so, the crowd continued to cheer, flash lighters and stomp on the floor. They came back on for a THIRD encore! Unbelievable! Spectacular! 41 years ago and I still remember it . . .
Neil has a son with special needs and has done all kinds of stuff for and at special needs facilities under the radar for years. A real stand up guy, I'd say.
Went to his first Bridge School concert, in 1986 . Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Nils Lofgren, Don Henley, Neil ( Graham, Stills and Crosby’s first gig after prison, showed up unannounced ) and Robin Williams was the M.C. . And it’s an all Acoustic show . Seriously BIG FUN !
I think Neil sounded better than I’ve heard him sing in a long time. I was a bit disappointed that Nora didn’t have a bigger part though, she has a terrific voice. Very nice though.👍👍
Love seeing Big Daddy with his long legs moving to his music and Norah wiggling on the piano bench, equally engrossed in this lovely collaboration. What a love song!

Just imagine you composed a song that thousands of people married to and thousands of people have as part of some of their best memories. That's quite an accomplishment for a existence.
Ear to ear smiles all the way. Thank you sooo much for posting this Jeff (not sure how to tag you in this, hope you will see this). There is just so much going on on that stage. Sasha Dobson is a great artist in her own right and so of course is Norah and the interaction between the two of them (when singing harmony) is .... well great. Neil is just 'feeling his way' through his own songs and Norah is perfectly in sync and filling in 'those gaps'. Most of all it looked and sounded like a bunch of people having fun and enjoying the (musical) company. Did I a say thank you?

The best cover of this song I have heard is by a group called "Foxes and Fossils" from Georgia. They are on RUclips. They do some great work. They never disappoint.
Been a fan of Neil Young for decades, and this is one of his most beautiful songs. I only wish Norah Jones, with that fabulous voice, had a bigger part.
🎉love your harmonica playing Neil
She is HOT also
Agree but we have so much beauty from both and it was a Benefit Concert that the great Neil has been involved in for many years.
You’re right, Nora should have had a bigger part

What a joy that must have been. I so love this song. I play harmonica along. Worthy of Neil !

Yep I have to say I agree. First time I saw Neil was in Alabama in 1972 but couldn't see much of him for the smoke.
Neil Young is an international treasure. Keep on rockin

Nora is such a lovely spirit. It is intensely apparent that she just loves making music with zero ego involved.
A beautiful message. Oh how I miss these times.

This was my exes and my song. We matched it and it’s bittersweet when I think of her. Perfect. Thank you Neil.

Playing the guitar and the harmonica at the same time. Amazing.

Neil and Nora so great and so unpretentious! That's what makes great artists!!

Two of my favourite musicians. I would have liked to hear Nora sing a verse or two of this classic song.

Hear what I have to say
Just like children sleepin'
We could dream this night away
But there's a full moon risin'
Let's go dancing in the light
We know where the music's playin'
Let's go out and feel the night
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
On this harvest moon
When we were strangers
I watched you from afar
When we were lovers
I loved you with all my heart
But now it's gettin' late
And the moon is climbin' high
I want to celebrate
See it shinin' in your eye
Because I'm still in love with you
I want to see you dance again
Because I'm still in love with you
